This place is the absolute worst. No one greats you when you walk through the door. They say "walk-ins welcome" but will have you sitting down for 20-30 minutes before they mention anything to you, then will tell you the next walk-in availability is in an hour. Once you asked them about that process, they will refer you to an itty-bitty sign that tells the CUSTOMER to ask each barber individually when they are open. Absolutely ridiculous. I got to this shop at 10:50 and did not make it into a chair until 12:20 and leave until 12:50.. TWO HOURS in total. I will never, ever, be coming back here. read more

At first, I felt intimidated going into a barbershop as a women. However my excitement to embrace short hairstyles overcame my fears. Since then, I have tried a taper fade, low fade, and currently an undercut. I highly recommend Gallerdos Barber Shop. Ricardo is a detailed barber. If I ever move It is going to be a mission to replace a barber like Ricardo and any of the other fine men that also cut hair here. I always hated getting haircuts all my life until I found this place it has been amazing. Many people wait just to get Ricardo to cut their hair and it could be a while depending on when you arrive. He pays really close to details getting your hair just right. Its OK to give some of the other guys a try but really give the guy next to Ricardo a try he is just as amazing and pays close to details as well. Horrible fucken place to go for a haircut. As soon as I got there the guy asked "you have an appointment" to which i replied "no is walk in okay" he said yes. 2 hours of ny life gone. There were 3 people giving haircuts one of them a stupid lady who took 2 hours to sweep hair probably not wanting to work, the other two just talking. Horrible establishment. Worst customer service I have ever seen. Walked in with my son, around 3:00pm on a Thursday- was never greeted but only asked it we had an appointment, really ? Even after one of the barbers there advised that one of the employees was available, the one barber who was with a client insisted that wasn't the case.. stood there for a couple seconds wondering what the heck and said forget it and walked out. I get it we are not important, they have their clients but once upon a time that's how it all started. Once they feel they don't need you, is when you know they've lost their sense of humbleness. I don't usually leave reviews but felt like this deserved one. I rated it a one star because I waited for 1 and a half hour to get a cut. Horrible services. When I arrived, I waited like any other barber shop. While waiting, other people had arrived after me and when the barbers Jonathan and Ricardo had finished with their customers, they took in the people that arrived after me. After waiting for 1 and a half hour, they manage to tell me "oops sorry there were appointments." And proceeded to tell me to wait for another hour for the next appointment slot. I would have been there for a total of 2 and a half hours. With no services. Gallardo's staff like to stay on their phone and talk, leading to an extended hair cut. Their cuts are nice but the wait is not worth it. They also cut your hair while talking on the phone with one hand. I would recommend going to the place across the street (Ralph's barber shop). Some advice for Gallardo though, if you read this. Let your customers know ahead of time or upon arrival that you have appointments waiting and that the wait will be long. Don't let your customers wait and just take in the people who come in after that person. Very unfair and unprofessional. Your window that has the written appointments are also not up to date and it does not show the appointments of the people who "have" them. Sorry, I will not be coming back though I was pretty generous with my tips. read more

I have lived in Pomona for about 4 years and have really only ever come here. Everyone does an absolutely amazing job. I have a bad habit of not cutting my hair between 3-5 months every time so I always feel bad that I give them a bit of work. No one there complains they ask what I want and the exact image I had in my head they give me something better. The place is not intimidating it is nothing but welcoming. read more

Great place, just moved to a new location 20 ft away from the old one, huge space with more barbers. This place is refreshingly welcome, no trendy ,obnoxious, hipster feels or employees. Just basic run of the mill guys that love to cut hair, and are really good doing it. The ladies that work there are Great also ,don't think they can't hold their own. Maria cuts my hair every time I get a chance to get her. They run appointments and walk-ins. No overpriced cuts or appointments like other places in the area. No homies come first BS appointments that you get everywhere else. Been a customer for more then 8 years but now I have to look for a new barber. Save your time by calling for a appointment if you want 1 of the 2 only male barbers. The rest are females they cut alright but you won't get that FRESH look you would get with the other 2 barbers. I rated a 2 star because when you arrive you sit down and wait and if your waiting for Jonathan or Ricardo they won't even tell you they have appointments or anything they just let you wait. I'm not the only one. I was reading more comments mentioning this. Also Jonathan is always on his phone and sometimes even cuts your hair while texting or whatever he does. I also noticed they lag on the haircut if they have appointments then your forced to just wait or get a hair cut by the ladies there. read more

They took care of me like If I was a regular client. Sure I waited a while but like they say slow n steady wins the race. great place to get a reasonable priced haircut . getting one is not something you do in 5 minutes or get it done by anyone. not all barber shops do a good job. ricardo and johnny have been cutting mine and my co workers hair for about 3 years and we've never been disappointed. yes, they do take a little extra time, but that's because they're perfectionists. i do admit , sometimes it's a hit or miss getting one done, but they do have appointments available. read more
