I wish more places like this existed where I live, the concept of a food hall with choices is so wonderful and they had a great variety of food here! We ended up going with El Capital Tacos and they were delicious and flavorful, cooked very well. The sofrito was unique, nutty, and the steak was soooo buttery The boba tea was balanced and delicious, nice sized portion for the price [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables and food stations were clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and service was quick and friendly from everyone

We love love love Galleria 7. Some of my favorite spots there did not return after the pandemic, but there are several new delights. Today, I saw a new BBQ place that sells fried green tomatoes. A couple next to us ordered a lot of food from them and I cannot wait to try their food. We had the wood fried pizza, which is always fantastic; tacos from Las Capital Tacos (my husband's favorite); and tofu ramen from Kobe Ramen. I did not enjoy the ramen which looked great because I was looking for more ginger and garlic. It was way to mild for my taste. If they had a veggie miso version, that may have been more my taste, but their miso has pork broth. I think if you love pork their pork options are likely very tasty because the food at Kobe Ramen smells great.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will say we went on a muggy night and it was very muggy eating there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a low key place in all the good ways.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got a little bit from a few places and enjoyed it. Each business was very friendly. The food came out very quick. We will be back!

This is a nice indoor market with a variety of food vendors - they had burgers, empanadas, ramen and boba (which is what I got), Indian/Pakistani food, pizza, and more. Some of the places even served halal food, which I always appreciate. I got some seafood ramen and boba for dinner - the ramen tasted pretty good and had lots of fresh seafood. The boba was nice and refreshing. All the servers were very nice and friendly. The ambiance is more freestyle/cafeteria-style, as opposed to a nice sit down restaurant. However, I had no problem with that. It's easier from a logistics standpoint, since you don't need a reservation. Overall, food was good and I can see myself coming back here to try some of the other food vendors.

This was my first time visiting here, so I didn't have to suffer through the slings and arrows that other people have gone through with their favorite places opening and closing. Currently, there are eight vendors operating in the space and one (a Pakistani/Indian spot) coming soon. When we visited, Charlie's Street Food (which I was excited to try) was unexpectedly closed, but that left us with seven vendors to choose from. My husband picked Falafel Express, and I went for Viva Empanada. He was happy with his lamb over rice platter, which was very well-seasoned and featured big chunks of meat (I thought they could have been slightly more tender). I really had my socks blown off by Viva Empanada, though. The service was incredibly sweet, with the guy at the counter patiently talking me through the menu options and then throwing in an extra free empanada to try when I was being indecisive. The arepa was delicious, with lots of cheese and tender braised beef piled on top. Both of the empanadas (chorizo and chicken) were very tasty and distinct-tasting, though my husband didn't like the kind of puréed texture of the inside of the chicken one. I also loved how thoughtfully the food was served and plated, with pretty ceramic plates instead of plastic. I felt like I got really excellent taste, volume and quality for the price here. The space itself here has the standard semi-industrial food hall feel, with the new pink and yellow neon from the Herbie's Burgers really brightening things up and making it look legit cool. I would absolutely come back here to try more places and/or return to Viva Arepa, and would also sacrifice a goat to the real estate gods if one of the developers currently busily building apartments in Downtown Albany would bless us with one of these in the Warehouse District: it would really be a great fit.

So fun! What a great local food market/cafeteria! Quite a few different cuisines to choose from. I'm sad I couldn't try them all my first visit. Definitely super clean and well taken care of. Plenty of tables and seating include high top counters. It's gets super busy around lunch time 11:30-12:30 so definitely take that into consideration or order ahead if you food/restaurant of choice allows that! Highly recommend a visit or 5 here!

Galleria 7 has been around for a few years and offers a small selection of foods. I did try two items from 2 different vendors. Both were delicious. At Korean street food, I tried the shrimp summer roll accompanied with a peanut sauce that complimented the rool. I did opt for spicy and added nuts. Was very fresh and over stuffed. Then to complete my dinner, I got the Greek Salad from the stall next door. Salad had lots of fresh veggies, 2 dolmadas (grape leaves stuffed with a lemony rice) with a side of dressing. Was good but many stalls are just empty now. Parking is good and outside seating was delightful. Hoping those that are there survive.

This is a haute cuisine place that is masked by the casual dining atmosphere. Seriously: top notch chef, original recipes, a core dedication to quality seafood, paired with a fresh fish counter and some prepared food to go. We usually go for something special, but tonight I decided to get an old childhood standby, fried clams (the Boston Basket) and the fish burger sandwich. I did not expect either to be as transportive as they turned out to be. The fried clams were as delicately done as I've ever had: not crispy, but not too floppy, with excellent breading. And while I prefer my clams naked, we tried all three of the dipping sauces -- a remoulade, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. Now normally I loathe cocktail sauce and can take tartar sauce or leave it, so I figured we'd eat up the remoulade and ignore the other two. Still, I gave them little nibbles. Man! The cocktail sauce was like no other I've had, with a heavy hint of horseradish and a far fresher flavor than I've ever had. Then the tartar sauce -- genius! It had a delicate spicing, with capers providing a floral backdrop. That was only a preliminary, as the fish burger proved to be complex, with hints of multiple kinds of fish, and a fennel-based spicing. I ended up having that afterglow, as if I'd had a couple of cocktails and was sitting next to a fireplace, that is the hallmark of truly fine food at an advanced level. We also had the usual outstanding service, attentive without being pushy. I seriously think Hooked should consider splitting into two restaurants: one where the ambiance is upgraded to match the high caliber of the food, and another cheaper one that is strictly fast casual and takeout, and they'd more than double the business. There is a restaurant back where we come from in California, Turtle Bay, that did this with fine dining on one side and the quick, simple, and affordable food on the other side, with a big shared kitchen between them but with completely separate ambiances. That way I could come back more frequently, and still have the original Hooked for special occasions!

Now the downfall, the chicken sandwich. I did notice other plates coming to tables looking like the fryer temp. is too hot, or cook time was too long. Some fish fry that came out looked quite dark as did my chicken, as you can see! A slight burnt taste was evident. It had good flavor under that burn, and the chicken was close to not being juicy, almost dry. The place is clean, and if not for the location, I would sit at the bar and have the raw bar! Something very important to me that hit me the instant I stepped through the door, if you're looking for a great shot of A/C on a hot day, not here!!! Barely got comfortable from the almost 90 degree day on a bike, and then worked up a return of sweating as the place filled up.

Since we were in Saratoga we decided to check out their new location and bring something home to cook for dinner. There was a lot of fresh fish to choose from and we narrowed it down to either halibut or sea bass. I decided on the sea bass because we've never cooked it at home before. It was about $35/lb., which is a fair price. My wife prepared it with some white wine, butter and shallots and it was absolutely delicious. The fish was so fresh and tasty.

They're "Korean style," which means they're served with kimchi. Normally, I substitute a salad for the taco shells since I'm diabetic but this time they were out of greens. There are a few and far between for sure. Today I stopped in to check out their fresh fish as I was in the area. On Tuesdays they do have a new delivery. I reviewed their website before stopping and they listed a couple of fish I wanted. I was interested in Bronzino, but once there saw they only had two whole fish left, and I wasn't sure when I would actually cook it. I decided against buying it today. I did buy a half pound of sockeye salmon and Arctic char. I also picked up a couple of packages of frozen fish, Haddock and some Scottish salmon. The prices were $$; for fresh fish it's a bargain. A gentleman came from the kitchen area shortly after I walked in and started looking at the display. Took my order, and tried to sell me on a previous cut which I declined because it was the tail end. He picked out a full fillet and I assumed that he cut the thick portion, but after arriving home and ready for the pan, found that he gave me a tail end. That's what I get for not being specific. I would like to mention he did not ask me how I wanted it cut. He was friendly enough though. They take contactless payment. They do prefer cash and will give a 3% discount for cash.

The busiest and most bustling mall in the Albany region, and this is its massive but underwhelming food court. Honestly it's a pretty crap food court, and it's huge and probably twice the size of a lot of mall food courts, so it's kind of disappointing that it's so underwhelming and so many of the things in and around here are just not worth eating. In other news, I left your seat on the whole time is it still warm I just turned 30 seconds (that was me talking to Barbie - I'm on voice dictation). And it's definitely a missed opportunity because after spending (seriously) 7 hours wandering this mall, we were absolutely starving, and I feel like we went in every single store, but it was (incredibly less than half of them. And so after all that time I think we could easily have gone for whole bunch of different things to eat, but because the food court is so bad, we ended up trying very little, and decided not to use this missed opportunity of a food court again.
