I've been to Innovo Kitchen in Latham several times over the years and I've enjoyed it every time. They have a unique menu that changes periodically, but I always find something that catches my eye. The interior has an industrial feel which I like, with a lot of exposed brick. The tables are made from old bowling lane wood, which is a really cool touch. When you walk in there is also a bowling pin displayed in a glass case. I remember there being a bowling alley somewhere in that plaza when I was a kid, so it seems likely the building has some history tied to that. The tables are also nice and large, which makes the dining experience more comfortable. Tonight I ordered the Monte Cristo burger which is described as battered Buckley's Bread sourdough, a 6 oz special grind burger, Taylor pork roll, Swiss, and Twin Leaf Farms maple aioli. It was quite tasty and I really enjoyed the hint of maple syrup flavor on the burger. The crinkle cut fries that came with it were also very good. Another person in our party ordered the White Chicken Parmesan, described as a crisp chicken cutlet topped with ricotta and garlic spinach and fresh mozzarella, with garlic parmesan cream and lumache pasta. They said it was delicious. Someone else had the Crispy Skin Salmon and enjoyed that as well. A child at our table ordered macaroni with red sauce. The portion was surprisingly large and they liked it, which is impressive because they are particularly finicky. For dessert we ordered something we've had here several times before, the peanut butter mud pie. It's basically ice cream in pie form with an Oreo cookie crust and chocolate fudge. It's very tasty and also a generous portion. At the end of your meal they also offer everyone at the table a tasty piece of gourmet chocolate. One thing that really stood out tonight was the attentiveness of the management. Two different managers stopped by our table at different times to check and make sure everything was good. I recognized one of them because I've seen him there before and he always seems to make a point of checking in with guests. The other person had seated us so I initially thought she was the hostess, but after she stopped by during the meal I asked if she was a manager and she confirmed that she was. I mentioned that I was impressed that two different managers had checked on us, and that every time I've dined there a manager has stopped by to make sure everything was good. I thanked her and told her it was appreciated. During the summer and fall they also have a very nice patio area for outdoor dining. On cooler nights they have heaters and a fireplace which makes it a great place to sit outside. I will definitely return here again in the future. 5 stars

I put another on top of my slice of broccoli white pizza. A negative in my opinion: there was too much melted mozzarella cheese on top of the dinner. I prefer less mozzarella. However, no one else noticed. I added two slices of broccoli white pizza from the case to my order along with a "broccoli ricotta foldover" for tomorrow. There were many other offerings available in the case if you had not preordered or wanted to pick your own variety of pizza slices, foldovers, or knots. The helpful server offered to heat it in oven, if wanted. The several sweets I saw in the case looked very tempting, but I resisted today. There were even chocolate covered small cannoli, cheesecake, and Italian cookies available! Please check out my photos of the case. We look forward to trying other items on the thoughtful menu such as the pizzas, Stromboli, soup and desserts. We will order again very soon. I chose the Poke Bowl ($35) for my meal (my first ever poke bowl) with marinated raw tuna and salmon, edamame, cucumber, watermelon radish, snap peas, nori, avocado, sesame seeds, scallions, and pea tendrils, all over sushi rice with ginger gochugaru oil and soy sauce on the side. This was absolutely delicious. It was a wonderful blend of fresh flavors and textures. If I have another poke bowl somewhere else I only hope it can come close to measuring up to the enjoyment I experienced with this one.

When we arrived at 12:30 p.m. on a Tuesday, the front parking spaces were full. (Note: there may be parking around back; I didn't check) We thought we might have to wait for a table. Wrong! The restaurant is surprisingly spacious with two large rooms furnished with tables that were thoughtful spaced apart. A photo of an adorable young girl, whom we assumed was the dining establishment's namesake, was on the wall. Let me be sure to mention that the ladies room, which smelled faintly of bleach, was spotless. I mean REALLY clean! About the food ... my friend and I shared an appetizer of Fried Calamari. It was an ample portion (took some home) accompanied by sweet chili sauce - a nice change from typical marinara served at other places. However, the calamari was small and overcooked. As a result, what was presented was a plate of small, overly crisp rings of 90% batter. No squid! For our entrees, Barb chose the Chicken Salad Sandwich. She requested that it be served on a pretzel bun (touted as homemade) for which we were hit with an up-charge of $3.50. The chicken salad had grapes and walnuts in it and Barb liked it very much. The up-charged pretzel roll did not appear to be homemade. Very disappointing. Had she known it would be uninspiring, she would have accepted the brioche roll. Macaroni salad - not very exciting - accompanied the sandwich along with a pickle. I love seafood and was torn between ordering the Fish and Chips (halibut) and Lobster Pot Pie (an appetizer). Our server, Drew, gets a gold star for suggesting the second one when I told him I wasn't a big eater. Apparently, the halibut, while highly recommended, is a sizable portion. The pot pie was superb! The rich, creamy sauce was divine. I couldn't eat it all and will enjoy the rest of it for lunch today. Emma Jayne's menu has something for everyone. Our server, Drew, was informative and attentive. While we may make other food choices (skip the calamari and pretzel bun but keep the pot pie), we will definitely return.

My coworkers recommended this place to us and I am very glad i listened to them. We made a reservation for Friday night because my coworkers told me that they get very busy. When we arrived the place was packed but they made sure to keep a table for us. Our waiter was very nice and took care of us. I ordered the chicken special of the night which was out of this world. It had crabmeat and fresh spinach and then topped with mozz cheese wow it was amazing. my wife had the seafood special which had scallops and shrimp and some veggies over pasta she said it was very good. They also have a very extensive wine list and lots of bottled beer. We decided to get a bottle of wine as well. The place is new and is very well decorated. They said they are remodeling next door as well. Only other thing i would've liked to see was a full bar. Hopefully they will get liquor soon! Tonight, we had the pleasure of dining at Mercatos III in Latham, and what a lovely experience it was! From the street, it appears rather small, but don't let that fool you - inside, it's quite spacious with a cozy atmosphere. We appreciated the casual welcome from the host/bartender who simply invited us to choose any table or booth we liked. Now, onto the food, which truly shone! We always start with their Spendini, and tonight it was as delightful as ever - so flavorful and truly delicious. For our main courses, my husband thoroughly enjoyed the Tuscan Chicken, and my Ala Mercato was delicious (very similar to the Spendini, except made with chicken). We both agreed the meals were superb. Mercatos III offers a charming and comfortable spot for a truly satisfying Italian meal. We highly recommend it! read more

I read the other posts and had to visit this place to see. After reading all the other comments i can't believe them. I order 10 wings extra crispy a large cheese pizza and a soda. When the delivery guy took out the pizza from the bag it was piping hot, the wings were crispy and the best wings that i have had in the Latham area. The delivery driver was really nice. The lady on the phone had an accent and she was very nice. I will be ordering from here again. read more

I like Mercatos pizza. It's not too thick or too thin. I usually prefer the thick kind. The place is authentic and it's kind of quaint to have a sit down dinner in. They just added on space from next door, I haven't been there since the addition but am looking forward to going. They're great to pick up a pizza on the way home from work, I work in Latham and live in Niskayuna. oh, they have good wings too. read more

The high top chair was coming apart on the bottom screw is missing. The bag was actually coming off. Our server, a polite young man was over and beyond friendly and very attentive to everything we needed We will be coming back again and again Inside was very nice and pleasurable to look at just the seating was the issue

I ordered the Chicken Palazzo which was a tasty chicken sautéed in a butter sauce served over a bed of spinach with garlic and covered in melted mozzarella cheese. There was a side dish of pasta which I thought their sauce was very tasty. Overall one of my tastiest dishes I've had in a long time. My wife enjoyed the Eggplant Parmigiana with a side of pasta. All dinners come with a fresh salad and your choice of dressing. This place will definitely see us again!

The service was very good, the dining room is done beautifully lots of room at each table. The food is excellent. The menu has a nice selection of entrees. The prices are reasonable. Years ago this was a pizza place and we all went there after skating .
