Great convenience/specialty market/deli. Haha they really do it all! Amazingly huge breakfast burrito really cooked and prepared to order (though because of this and the popularity of the place, expect a wait). Has to be kind of a stretch to call this a restaurant but it actually is. It's more like a convenience store but you can place orders and have food made. Galleria Market is a place to do grocery shopping and have a bite. Kind of convenient. The prices are pretty high on a few things. Basically it's a convenience store but it makes kind of fresh food. It has a deli with Boar's Head. There's also menu items that don't have meat. Falafel is an example. The prices on the groceries are pretty high. Forget about going here for shopping and just stick to the deli. The sandwiches aren't the best but these are okay. Convenient to get a deli item. It just has kind of high prices. The actual grocery part is even more of a ripoff so just avoid that stuff and stick with the freshly made sandwiches. read more

My first thought of Galleria was that it was like East Coast Bodega masked as tiny Midwest Market. They got the juice they got the juice; munchies too, goods, liquor, and food in the back. This is a one stop shop to getting what you need on a Friday night or on a weekday afternoon. Service is straight, ambiance is mini market. Priced as you would expect in boogie River North. Do not Oder sandwich's here. We ordered 5 sandwiches on a Sunday morning. No one was even in the store and it took them 25-30 minutes. This place is like a fancier 7-11 with a really expansive menu deli. You can smell the sandwiches right when you walk in. There's a big seating area and condiments right on the side so you don't have to ask for them. The sandwiches are really big and really filling. The heated ones are a little greasy so be prepared with napkins. It's a good place to grab a quick bite to eat. A decent price for River North too. read more

This place is the best. Their sandwiches are some of the best I've ever had. Their salads are custom and they are always delicious. I come here at least once a week. It's not Binny's but the alcohol selection is great. The best part is the employees are all really nice. NEEDS A FACELIFT This place was cool 10 year ago. Now it just needs to get with the times because there are too many options in the neighborhood to walk over to. The Walmart express around the corner has everything, the Walgreens has liquor again and Trader Joes isn't that far from here either. So when I say this place needs a facelift, I really mean it. It needs to move into the future. They have liquor here, lunch meat, crackers and a grill for fresh food. It just feels dark and in uncheerful in here. My biggest complaint is about the grill exhaust system here! Either it doesn't work or they don't turn it on. My biggest pet peve is leaving a restaurant and smelling like the restaurant. On my last visit I was buying a few things and I ended up smelling like a dirty greasy grill. Honestly I smelled like I worked 12 hours at an all night diner. If I walk into a store for 5 minutes to buy groceries, then I don't expect to stink when I leave. So be warned if your on your way to that million dollar deal and you need to buy gum, please don't buy the gum here. Your client will start wondering if you grabbed a cheeseburger before the meeting. You will need to Febreeze yourself! I wish I could say the staff is helpful but they are not friendly at all. I really don't need attitude any more and I would rather spend my money at places that actually care. I will probably never come back here again. There must be 80 different things one can order and that becomes mind-numbing during a quick lunch. The owner should read "paradox of choice" and apply some of the scientific recommendations in the book. Some of the food items are awful such as the Panini featuring prosciutto and cheese- in reality this was a ham n cheese sandwich on grilled wonder bread. I typically order a veggie wrap w avocado, and I like it. The place is a little overpriced and that comes with the territory in River North. Considering there are better and cheaper meals that can be purchased within walking distance of this place, this should not be your first choice. Protip: Most everything available at the market is overpriced including pita bread, canned foods, beer and liquor. read more

Don't get it on a croissant or change anything - it's perfection as it is and the best way to overcome the lethargic haze of a Saturday or Sunday morning. Aside from the breakfast sandwich, the market offers a ton of lunch options and more specialty grocery items than you can possibly imagine. They also have a great selection of beer and wine.
