I usually drive by two other bike shops to browse The Peddler. They are both a Specialized and Cannondale dealer but seem to prefer Cannondale. They are also a Seven Dealer and will pretty much special order anything. They are also located in an Economic Redevelopment area so you can save on the taxes as well. The Peddler sponsors several teams and weekend rides often start in their parking lot. Not really sure why I did not give them 5 stars. Probably because nothing is perfect.

Customers don't need to be rushed when making an expensive purchase, especially when we were being respectful of the store, staff, and other customers. If there is a time limit, then include that in your store policy and make it known to customers. There were other customers in there just as long as we were, so I am curious to know why we were targeted. We left and did not purchase anything - someone needs to retrain their staff/management on customer service. This company doesn't seem to care about negative reviews, as many others seem to have had a similar experience here.

The owner of NJC had a fork in stock that was nearly an exact match to my bike so I left the shop with the understanding that the fork would be replaced. The owner called me about an hour later and told me that when he took the bike apart, he could see that the existing fork was fine and the problem was caused by a worn head set. He replaced the head set and in a little over a hour I had my bike back in great working order. I rode the bike on a 25 mile ride the next day and the bike was better than it's been for years. I highly recommend this shop and it is now my go to shop.
