    Aventon 2.

I bought my Aventon 2 from Kim's Bicycle shop. Good service, knowledgeable and friendly. Will return for sure.

Had to take a few of our bikes to get fixed and not only were they fixed remarkably.... They were done in record time. Only waited until the next day and the price was right!!!! The owners are extremely nice and very knowledgeable about bicycles and they never will try to take advantage of you like other bike shops do. I always leave there satisfied with the service I receive, which is why I am a repeat customer. They also have a nice inventory of bikes for sale that range in price. I'll definitely be buying my next bike there.

The staff at Kim's Bike Shop provide fast service and the price for repairs run lower than competitor bike shops in the area. In store, there is a plethora of bike selections available across all price ranges, as well as bike accessories and other gear. This is my family's go to vendor for all bicycle needs.

Fast and friendly service!! Due to my procrastinating, I wasn't able to locate a shop around the Philly area after my neighborhood spot sold out of the Specialized bike I was looking to purchase during the cu COVID crisis. After referencing the manufacturer website I was able to track it down at Kim's and gave them a call first to ensure it was in stock. They promptly confirmed it was the case and made placing the order easy and secure via their website, and then followed up with an email immediately once it was assembled later that evening, stating it was available the next day. Pick up was easy, even with the shop being busy when I got there in the early afternoon. David greeted me right away, took me to the bike with the extra parts and manual ready to go in a separate bag, and offered me to take a test ride and let him know if I had any questions. No concerns, so after a quick check and spin I was ready to head home to Philly with my new bike!! Can't wait to get outside and hit the road and trails with it for some exercise during quarantine. Thanks!! Update on 6/1/20: I've just been informed of a recall from the manufacturer, Specialized, regarding a problem with the left crank coming off the bike. The timing was spot on as I recently experienced the problem while riding my bike. I've sent an email inquiry to the shop as well as to the manufacturer since I registered my bike on the Specialized site. Aside from the defect issue, which is unfortunate, the bike has been awesome, so now I'm hoping to hear something back soon as I'd like to be informed of the options that I'll have to resolve the issue most efficiently. Update 7/11/20: Received a response from Dave at Kim's who informed me that I should be able to take it to any authorized Specialized dealer for the replacement and re-work since I'm from outside the area, while also offering to bring it back into the shop at no additional cost. Unfortunately, due to an issue with supply at the moment, Specialized has still not responded to my inquiry with a solution on their end and Dave does not believe Specialized has replacement crank arms and crank bolts at the moment. Thanks for your response and feedback regarding these options.

I've spent 3.7k on a bike, this isn't including the repairs i had to pay over the span of a year which amount to at least 1.4k+ after random bolts detaching and motor failing, and as soon as the warranty expired my bike had a random electrical issue where the bike wouldn't accelerate. The D&R runs parallel to the Delaware & Lehigh (D&L) trail on the Pennsylvania side, so you're also getting a view of the Delaware River for that part of the track. The trail is mostly flat and is suitable for walking or biking. We love riding this trail and exploring sections of it at a time and the surrounding towns. Some sections are more scenic than others. A favorite easy ride (or hike) of ours is to start in Lambertville NJ, ride up to Stockton, cross over Center Bridge to the PA side, grab a burger at Dilly's, then ride down to New Hope, PA, walk around town, and return to Lambertville via the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge. It's only about 8 miles roundtrip and makes for a leisurely day, and is very doable even for kids.

Some spots are muddy or rutted at times. There's also some spillways made from stone blocks. Lots of people come here with small children since the towpath is smooth enough to push a stroller and even enough for little ones to walk on safely. The scenery is peaceful with lots of deciduous trees and occasional views of the majestic Raritan River. Turtles are plentiful in the canal, swimming and basking on logs. You're also likely to see snakes, chipmunks, voles, squirrels, toads, and frogs. As for birds, keep an eye out for herons, geese, and ducks in the water, and woodpeckers in the trees. The canal banks have abundant wildflowers and flowering bushes. One place to park is just off Easton Ave at the Historic Van Wickle House. Another parking lot is a couple miles further up Easton Ave by the entrance to Rte 287. Due to the current Coronavirus Pandemic, I wear a mask when walking here, and most others do too. The path is too narrow in some spots to allow for 6' between people when passing.

Unless you are medically unfit, you can do this. Exceptional customer service sums up the team at Jim Thorpe River Adventures (aka LOC). They are extremely well organized which makes for a great trip. Everyone from the moment you enter LOC until the very end was polite, professional and wanted to make sure you have a great time. Some tips to follow: you only need to arrive 15 minutes before your group time, this allows ample time to get situated. Buy their pre-made lunch, it is well worth the 10 bucks, bring extra water on the raft (especially in the summer). Use the bathroom before you get on the bus (and be quick). They give you a dry bucket for your lunch and items, yes you can bring your phone in a dry pouch. Wear a hat and a sun shirt, it is hot and sunny, without much shade. Jump in the water when you have the chance !! If you are a "full figured" person it will be difficult to re-enter the raft, be aware. The trip down river is very safe and well organized. The guides are VERY safety aware ! If you are nervous and listen to them, the team will get you down the river without a hitch ! A few suggestions: don't go on a busy holiday weekend, it can get crowded on the river, the safety briefing takes a long time and you a sitting in the sun (remove your vest and drink water), during July and August I would imagine the water is very low and slow (if it is a dry summer)...best only if you want to have a relaxing rafting trip. Overall, a bunch of fun. The entire family had a great time.
