They're over priced for the crappy service I got. $40 for a lumpy uneven full set with gel? The girl argued with me about the shape I wanted . She didn't even tell me to wash my hands before polish allowing you to see visible particles underneath. And to top it off almost all of them were different and when I pointed it out she blamed it on my fingers. It is a shame that the husband of the woman who owns this salon and a salon in federal way, a nearly 14 year relationship, has been utterly destroyed! I went into Orchid (had been there before, used to follow an artist from gallery to here, loved her!) To get an overlay and a pedicure but was happily talked out of the overlay and into a dip. The woman that performed the dip was very polite and very sweet. Prior to this service I had always had my cuticles done so naturally I assumed that it would be done during this service too and it wasn't, I asked once and she just kind said yeah ok and it was never done. I was displeased with the pedicure because not only did they not give me a spa menu to choose what I did and did not want, they just gave me what they thought I wanted? The water was like warm and the massage was very very weak. I asked for the water to be warmed up and for an increase in pressure wether I had to pay for it or not.. i asked twice and it was never done. I also asked for my eye brows to be done and they were but after I got home and looked into the mirror... they were so crooked/I even. It was hard to tell st the salon because the lighting was not as bright and I was laying down and had my head turned to the side. I paid for my services and left. After getting home and inspecting my nails further i could see that the edge of my nails were very very uneven and my toes were uneven. By the time I got home and noticed all this the salon had been closed but I still left a message requesting the owner to call me back. A week and a half or so went by and I got no call. I called again and left my name and number with someone and again waited. Almost two more weeks went by so I called Gallery and was even6able to talk to the owner of orchid and after explaining everything to him he said you come tomorrow we tell to my employee and I fix for you! I was happy and said OK and we agreed to meet the next day at 11 am. Well when 11 am that day rolled around I was sent into a circle of horror. Upon entering the salon I was greeted by the owner and his condescending and demeaning attitude and behavior.. he was extremely rude and ended up saying that I am to picky they do the best they can and that should be good enough, that there are a bunch of other nail salons around here that would make me happy and kept asking what you want me to do for you, fix it or what? Uhm you sir are the one who told me to come in and said that you would fix it for me, so why are you asking me what you should do? Especially after handling the situation in such a shitty matter. He also brought up that a bit over a year ago Icomplained, well yeah.. your girl cut me on a few fingers and I got a pretty nasty infection from it that required antibiotics and I sent you pictures! So how dare you bring that up when they are two completely different services with much time inbetween them. Well.. so I was sat down and again he said he will do for you today so I said ok. Well his staff tried to charge me $40 , $35 for the dip and $5 for the cuticle. Ok fine I'll pay for your so so cuticle job and I even tipped $10 for nails, it was actually a really good job this time! Any how.. after the employee calling the owner and him yelling at me I gave the phone back to the employee and said you can either charge me the 15 and I'll leave and never come back and leave reviews accordingly or you can tell the owner I am not going to leave until he comes back and tells me why now he is now trying to charging me and trying to go back on his word. Tye employee said he wants to speak with you and I said no I am done talking to him on the phone. I not only ended up leaving without my pedicure but also paying for a service that had previously been included in with everything else in the past (the cuticles) and my eye brows and the bad job were not noted at all. I will never be back to any establishment that this man has any part of owning. He also said that you you are the only one to complain in a year no one else ever complains just you you are to picky! read more

Pedicures here=AMAZING. Manicures here=HORRIBLE. One, she cut my cuticles on two fingers, which I brushed off at first but then the same woman cut my friend's cuticles too. Two, their color selection is big, but the nail polishes are gross and gloppy. Three, their shellac/gel selection is hidden away so you can't find it. Four, my friend got acrylic tips put on and the woman did not ask if she wanted them round or square, so she was stuck with huge square nails. Five, they make you pay AND tip them before they even start on you. I would recommend this place for pedicures but whatever you do DO NOT GET A MANICURE HERE. read more

I've been coming here for years. Mostly because they're a good price for a decent (not amazing) manicure with full set acrylic. This last time I went in the polish was gloppy and wouldn't dry and my nails weren't all the same shape. I went back in a few days later on my next day off and she refused to re polish my nails (even when I said we could do them the same color). They did fix the shape issue but sent me away with un polished nails. Highly unprofessional way to treat a return client! read more

The ladies @ gallery, are very nice, fast, and reasonably priced. I've never made an appt, and have been able to get right in, all 3 times I've stopped in. You can tell english is a 2nd language for most of them, but, they understand what I'm asking, and wanting, quite well. I had never had acrylics before, but this set has lasted almost 4 weeks, with 1 fill, and 1 repair, (when I somehow broke a tip off) and I haven't been taking it easy, I'm fairly hard on my hands/nails. they do a great job, the shop is clean, and from what I've seen so are the tools they used. My only complaint is that, through a lack of understanding, on both sides, its hard to carry on a conversation, and I'm a chatter box! I would recommend gallery, to anyone wanting a mani/pedi. I got a pedicure here today and it was absolutely divine. The pedicure comes with all sorts of extras, like hot stone and lower leg massage, and a yummy scrub. My favorite was the paraffin dip, my feet feel brand new! The staff were all very welcoming and friendly which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I even got a neck massage should waiting for my polish to dry (not sure if that's standard or just something special.) I could not be happier with my experience getting a pedicure today, really! I have a regular place I go to but came here with a friend and it is definitely my new go-to. Very friendly staff, even the owners were mingling to make sure everyone was happy and comfortable. I can't believe how much service you get for the basic pedicure (paraffin, massage). They are busy and you can tell they have a lot of regulars because they were greeting many by name when they came through the door, but I never felt they were rushing. My mom and I have been going here for years. We came in this morning hoping to get a mani pedi. Unfortunately we got 2 of the rudest women I have ever met. They were blatantly talking about us in Vietnamese and when my mom asked if she was talking to her or the other gal the girl doing my toes said in a very rude tone "obviously she is talking to me, you clearly don't understand Vietnamese." I wish I could say that this is where the bad service ended but it isn't. They did not completely take my mom's blue toe nail polish off so her should be white pedicure looks green around her cuticles. Despite not being busy they did my toes and nails at the same time, not waiting for the polish to dry between coats so even after 30 minutes my nails are tacky and look extremely home grown. DONT GO HERE! There are so many places you can get a pedicure In the area for $25. I called to make an appointment and was told to come in no wait. I got there and the place was packed. Which I was thinking must mean it was good... No, no, no. I picked my color. Was given a chair to sit in. The water was scalding hot. I waited for 15 minutes before someone started my pedicure. She hacked my toenails up. The are now crooked or uneven. And my paint job is not even and not done at the ends. They don't provide the disposable sandals. And when I got up to pay they had no idea what u had done and there seemed to be an argument on who waited on me. read more

Overpriced. $65 for a mani/pedi is a lot, but especially when neither mani, or the pedi are relaxing or enjoyable. I don't like getting both done at the same time, but even if they were done separately tit still would have sucked. Went here for the first time and will be back again! Staff was great and also did my nails just how I like them.. I was trying something new outside of the normal acrylic and polish, and staff helped me learn more about my options (powder, gel polish, etc) WITHOUT the pressure of up selling to spend more. I went to this salon for a couple of years. It was owned by a wonderful, Vietnamese woman named Lily and her husband. Lily had a whole team of great Vietnamese gals that worked for her. Well, during the winter, I didn't go so much and when I did go in March, I found that the place had changed ownership. It is now under the control of one of Lily's workers and HER family. I wish I knew what happened to Lily! Anyway, I had one of the new owners sisters (or sister-in-law, not sure) give me a pedicure. She barely spoke ANY English. And naturally, she cut my toe! Just the skin around it, but that's still bad right? So, I wouldn't suggest anybody going to this once great salon. I'm sad and now have to find another fast, cheap, hygienic salon in Tacoma. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I just want a quick in and out. But safe! read more

I got a great shellac manicure today. The polish is not caked on or thick, all my nails have an even shape, and for $35 I got a back massage, some kind of tingly arm lotion, warm towels, and an arm massage.... I'll be back for sure. Amazing! This place gives the BEST pedicures, mine included paraffin wax and hot stones along with a leg and foot massage and a back massage. I visit this salon just about once every three to four weeks to get my acrylics done. They always do a great job and paint them just how I like them. I don't have troubles like I have experienced with other salons (peeling/chipping/cracking acrylics). They are usually pretty durable and the one time that my nail chipped (probably my own fault) they fixed it no charge. I just had the NU pedicure for $35 and holy cow it was good. They used some scrub and lotions and paraffin. I was in heaven! It was so good. The polish looks really good on my toes and the massage makes me want to come back and do it again tomorrow. read more

Came for a manicure with gel and a pedicure. It all felt rushed. The manicure was wonderful and included a shoulder massage for 35$. The pedicure felt extra rushed and one of my toes was smudged and I sat in the salon for the manicure so not my fault. Also, she got paint on my toe. She tried to get it off but some was still there. I could have painted my toes like this. Aside from that the pedicure did include a lot of extras. I would go back for a second try but I would double check the work before I leave on my toes! The staff was friendly and efficient, despite being very busy - and they knew most of their customers by name. I usually get my nails done there and would give 5 stars for that, but I did an eyebrow wax and DO NOT GO HERE FOR WAXING! I've never had an eyebrow wax where they also waxed your fore head, I have no clue why she go all the way up to my hair line for an eyebrow wax, but it hurt so bad and the next day is very painful. My forehead is starting to break out as well. Why in the world would you wax a person's forehead? especially when they just wanted their eyebrows done! And to top it off she left wax on my eyebrows and throughout the day I was trying to get it off. Sloppy, I would not recommend their wax services. read more

I went there on Monday 2/16/2015. I had been there a couple of times before for manicures and pedicures. This time I was seated for a pedicure and when I put my feet in the water it was scalding hot. The nail technician came right away and apologized. I felt very rushed during my visit because while one lady was working on my feet another lady was doing my manicure. It didn't only feel uncomfortable, I also felt the lady that worked on my manicure did not do a good job on removing cuticles or filing my nails. Everything was rushed and my fingernails did not look like I just got a manicure. I don't understand why they were doing the manicure and pedicure at the same time. I realized later that some other customers that were 'regulars' were being treated much nicer. I also feel that the nail technicians that work there talk to much to each other in their native language which makes it uncomfortable for the customer. I will not go back there. read more

I don't usually make an appointment because I don't go during busy times, but you might want to do it for weekends, evenings and during the summer when they are especially busy. Been going to the salon for years and this summer I experience and pedicure where that really sawed the bottom of my foot, and I said that hurts 3-4 times and she just kept grating. I had to put bandaids and couldn't barely walk because It hurts so bad. I went and showed them and they gave me a $25 gift card so that I could have a pedicure on them, but their cheapest pedicure is 35 and the gift certificate they gave me was only for 25. Then the last two weeks I've gone and I got a full set and they were really rushed made them big and chunky and square they fell off before a week and then I went back let them know that I wasn't happy and asked for them to redo them with a new set. The owner was the one that did them, and wasn't there when I first got there and I explained that I wanted them redone. She came in later and said sorry I was assuming that they would redo them for free since almost everyone of them fell off. We get to the end she asks if I want a neck massage I said ok. She basically tickles my neck for 1 minute and pounds it once and was done. then I finish and she tells me it's 45 the week before I paid 30. I paid and walked to my car and then I was thinking that egos is bullshit so I went back in and asked why it was so much because they should actually have redone them for free. She says 30 for the full set, 15 for the gel polish, and she says I didn't charge you to take the old ones off (which all fell off but 3 ya your doing me a favor and not charging me! So kind of you) I said you guys messed up and why is the gel 15 extra it's never been that way before. They can just charge whatever. I told her that I was just going to start going somewhere else. I get half night to my car and she runs out and says that the owner is going to give me $10 back. Now I already have one that fell off I have five that are lifting three on one hand and two on the other so basically I have gone there and paid $100 or so in the last two weeks and I need to go back and get them fixed again. Then they ask you to pay cash or write a check so that they don't have to have things on the books for taxes very shady if you ask me. I don't think I will ever go there again now I'm going to have to go pay another 30 bucks to have them redone again I should not be having to do this every week. I'm so frustrated I like going to them but I am not going to be ripped off anymore. They should have done them for free when they read did them I'm actually really pissed off that even charged me.
