Friendly peoples, but quality of shaping nails, brush strokes, paint over a few toes make my first to my last trip.

I came in with a picture of what I wanted, holographic acrylics. Tran, the woman there said that that was no problem and she could do it. I get a pedicure first which, btw was awful. She only used a pumice stone and did the bare minimum all around. When she painted my toes she missed part of my big toe. Then she starts my nails. I bite my nails and the only way I don't mess with them is to get my nails done. She made several comments about my nails which I expected, but still doesn't feel good. Then when it comes time to do the holographic decal on my nails, she pops out with GOLD GLITTER. So she can't do it & I just got white. They are crooked and awful. DONOT GO HERE. read more

I started going here for my eyelashes and I absolutely love how they turn out every single time. Their salon is small but it's clean and very up kept. I recommend anyone who wants eyelashes to start going here. There's mostly three people working , the mom dad and daughter, really sweet family and always willing to answer your questions. Overall, really enjoyed getting my nails done here. My mom booked appointment for her, my sister and I. We had to wait about 20 minutes after our appointment time until they started on us. However, they took full accountability and said they overbooked and overestimated how much time they would have. Hai did a great job on my nails and my sister's and we were very happy with them. He was very meticulous. Very clean place! I also love that they use Aveeno lotion rather than the usual scented stuff that a lot of nail places use which tends to be drying. read more

I left Nail Magic Salon feeling 110% satisfied and extremely happy with the services I received (Shellac Full Set and Shellac Pedicure). They were a little pricey, but that's typical when getting Shellac and then add a tip and in this case they charge separately so I ended up having to tip twice ($10.25 total). It's always a gamble when you're going to a new salon for the first time. Although, it was spendy Nail Magic delivers exceptional quality services and are friendly, welcoming, and professional. Would recommend them if you're looking for quality and money is not an issue. Unfortunately I won't be going back because I can't afford to tip twice and spend $35 (plus tip) on a basic pedicure. I have visited multiple nail salons over a period of 10+ years and there are few that meet my quality and customer service expectations. Only thing I disliked was the very basic pedicure for $35 not including tip (this did include Shellac polish though). I'm writing this review after just leaving the salon a few minutes ago so I can't say how long the color changing Shellac will last on my nails and toes, but hopefully it lasts as long as mine have in the past which is typically 2-3 weeks. This salon is very clean and sanitized. The decor and facility is very welcoming. However due to the location the parking situation can be problematic. So my reasoning for the low review. The technician freehand my nail design. The design I wanted was a geometric shape...triangle. I expected straight crisp lines and consistency. I did not get that at all. I got uneven lines and inconsistency throughout. I expressed what I wanted twice and the technician didn't hit the mark. As a new customer I did not enjoy my first experience. I received a gel removal and then I chose to do a regular polish but am not impressed. It ended up coming out sloppy and over my cuticles. personally speaking, every single time i have gone to this location i have a terrible experience and leave with my natural nails ruined. i go to an independent nail tech who is allergic to acetone so she is unable to provide soak offs. this was my second attempt at giving this place a chance since my normal soak off salon was closed today. i came in right when they opened and they made me wait 20 minutes before seating me. i politely asked the nail tech who was doing my soak off if she could drill down my acrylic more since my other place does my soak offs like that (less time and damage to natural nails this way) which proceeded to her having an attitude with me and telling me that she doesn't need to drill more and it will only take 30 minutes to get them off. my normal spot usually only has me wait 15 minutes but i decided to have faith and just wait the 30. 45 minutes later she finally comes back to me (she was in the back on her phone not doing anything that would've prevented her to check on in me in that time frame). she then decides to file all the way down my cuticles and peeling off my nails leaving them extremely damaged and broken. i attempted to take my hand away once i saw what she was doing and she snatched my hand back saying she needed to finish. i never have any damage to my natural nails at my other place and now i have to cancel my nail appointment with my actual nail artist because my nails are too weak and damaged to do anything to. i am super upset and i felt like leaving this review to let other people know to avoid this place. it is always empty for a reason, find another spot. they even left acrylic still on some of my nails. read more

I came in to get a gel pedicure and classic manicure before my trip in a couple days. Sadly, I'm unhappy with my manicure. Two different ladies did my nails. The lady who did my pedicure was nice and I'm happy with her service. She also did my manicure. The second lady, Tee, finished the service by filing and painting my nails, which I'm unhappy with. I showed her a photo of tapered square nails and she said she file it that way. Sadly, they look nothing like it; some are square and some are round. In addition, she didn't do a good job polishing my nails and there are spots that aren't painted. Overall, the employees were friendly and that's why they get 3 starts. I'm a licensed cosmetologist so I'm certified to do reg&gel mani&pedi. Safety and sanitation was not kept up to state standards. Tools that are supposed to be thrown away after each client were being used on multiple clients cuticle nippers were used to trim my toe nail (this causes hang nails) then the hang nails created from the nippers was aggressively ripped off they don't use professional use products the electric file didn't look like it had ever been washed not even supposed to use an electric file for a gel manicure the cuticle nipper was also used to scrape my old gel polish off (a cuticle pusher should be used for this, a nipper is too sharp and causes unnecessary damage to the nail) The actual painting of the nails was rushed and sloppy. They look fine from a distance but up closer you can tell the whole nail didn't get painted and already look kinda grown out even tho I just had them done today. I normally don't expect the paint job to be perfect but I do expect safety and sanitation to be kept up. Also, when you go to a professional salon shouldn't you expect that they use professional products? They had me pay&tip about half way thru my service... that's weird! the service as a whole was rushed, awkward and tense. read more

I've been here a few times. First time was for a pedicure. The environment is nice and Tyne man is very friendly but the rest off the women are quite rude. When I was getting my pedicure they barely gave me any soaking time so when she begins scrubbing my feet she literally only scrubbed twice and returned my feet to the water. I asked her if she could do more and there was clearly a language barrier because she just looked at me and smiled. Then while she was polishing my nails this happened to be the worst polishing job I've ever had. It was streaky, it was clumpy, it was awful. The second time I went I tried for a shellac manicure and lo and behold the same girl came and sat at my table to do my nails. I didn't want to be rude but badly wanted to ask for somebody else but I was like okay maybe she will do better with the manicure. Nope I was wrong. I have spent a lot of time growing my nails out from the damage that acrylic had done so when she began taking off the shellac with the same drill that you use with acrylic I told her to stop. She starts talking to the man next to her and he's telling me what she saying. I explained that I would like them to be soaked off to maintain my nail strength and length. Then I asked for her to make sure they were all the same length so she might need to cut down a few. I felt like that was a pretty common request but apparently she did not understand what I said and she cut all my nails off. Then she started talking to the gentleman next to her but he didn't relay what she was saying which always makes me feel a little uncomfortable. I will not be returning. read more

I got a full set of acrylic nails plus a gel manicure by Hai and I am very, very happy with how my nails turned out! My friend and I both walked in for a full set without either of us having an appointment, and we were almost immediately sat down and ready to go. Hai was friendly and professional, multi tasked efficiently, and worked quickly yet carefully. I asked for one nail to be slightly changed and he listened and fixed it. I could tell he's experienced and that he knew what he was doing. I now have lovely almond shaped acrylics that aren't too thick or wonky. For $35 I could not be more pleased! read more

I went to Nail Magic because they are open Sunday and after a month of not having a fill, i finally had a break (my normal place is closed sundays). I got a normal fill and the customer service was ok. I have a hard time speaking up and saying something if I don't like it, I avoid confrontation. My nail technician didn't clean/drill under my nails so they are growing underneath and falling apart, make them sharp enough (I asked 3 times) and told me not to scratch him for not doing it right so I just stopped asking not wanting to offend him. I was okay with my manicure for about a day, then I realized that the lack of drilling under my nails was causing dirt to build up. Within a couple days, two of my nails broke, one of them bled pretty bad. I've never had this many nails break in less than a week. So, I decided to get the courage to ask for a discount on a fill since it had only been a little over a week since I had my fill (I had to wait for the one that bled to heal.) When I came in the technician told me I was lying about how they broke and practically laughed in my face when I asked for a discount. Meanwhile, my nails continue to crumble like potato chips because I can't afford to get a second fill in a week and a half. Needless to say, I'll never be going back and warning all the ladies I know not to go to this place. This was by far the most clean, professional,and refreshing nail salon I've ever stepped foot into. The prices are very reasonable and the employees had incredible attitudes! As you as you walk in, you'll notice that it doesn't smell like your typical nail salon filled with the smell of acrylic.. they have a special ventilation system attached to their stations that takes the smell away so if you have asthma or get headaches easily like me, you won't here. They don't even wear masks here because they clearly don't need them. I was truly impressed by their kindness and professionalism and you can tell they really love their jobs. After speaking with the nail tech, (possibly the owner) he explained how he doesn't have a specific product I asked about because it was bad for my nails and stated that it wasn't always about the money but it was about making customers happy and not hurting their nails and that made me so happy. Being a military spouse, it's tough moving and trying to find a new place you can become a regular at and I just found my new "go to" nail salon today. Really wanted to like this place because it's 5 min from my work but I was very disappointed. To be fair the place is nice, cute decor, clean and the gentleman answering phones and greeting was very nice. The girl doing my pedicure on the other hand was terrible. She would stop working on my feet to chat with the girl working next to her. I was on my lunch break and only had an hour. Then she want to scrub the pads of my feet and I swear imagine grabbing a scrub bar and gently brushing the skin TWO times. That's what she did. I asked her to scrub more and she proceeded to give me TWO more light scrubs then put my feet in the water. Then when trimming my toenails she did not make sure to clean up the sides of the nail to prevent ingrown. This is the main reason I get a pedicure. Also she didn't even scrub my heels. So disappointed this place is nice wish the quality of the service was up to par. read more
