I was really excited when I found this place. Looked at the reviews from yelpers. Stopped in and ordered. Waited 10 minutes for mine to be assembled. I ordered "the parring". 1/2 a chicken, two kabobs (1 beef/1 chix), 4 wings, and two sides (coleslaw and rice). I got the food and took it to the hotel 5 minutes away. Took the picture and dug in. Disappointment. Food was already cool which meant it wasn't really hot or fresh when I got it. I had a few bites of rice and there were hard pieces in it like it had sat awhile and hardened on the bottom. Tasted okay but the hard pieces were like raw rice. Slaw was better and the lemon dressing they had for it was pretty good. The kabobs were average. At least they were warm. The chicken had been sitting awhile and they just warmed it up. The Piri flavors are good but they are putting lipstick on a pig. It is still a pig. So, below average food that is sauced up to be more than it really is. Looks good though right? The service and management is a joke though, multiple times the server is stoned out of their mind, and I watched a staff member leave to his car right in front of the building and smoke cannabis right in front of the building. The websites broken, they must have forgot to renew their liquor license, the staff do all roles - clearly management does not know how to run and manage a business. I got charged a dollar because my kid didn't want spice on the kids chicken bowl (being a child and all). It would probably do pretty well here if management changed hands. You can see as they always have delivery orders to go waiting, and the restaurant is empty every time I've been. For those European, the food is essentially Nando's. Today was the worst I've had - look at the image... So in summary, get takeout or carry out, foods great. Five stars for food. One star for this business owner. read more

The owner of this establishment treats their employees terribly. After going into a situation similar to bankruptcy, the employer lied to their employees up until their establishment closed. This resulted in many months leading up to the closure, of unpaid paychecks, last minute changes in people's work schedules, and a very unprofessional way of handling the situation. Even further, this employer did not provide a single W2 for access to taxes after the work year. Nor have they reached out to fix any of this situations. The legal circumstances of the restaurant are very shady, and I know my people of Bellingham want to support good practices in the workforce. Maybe this guy had learned his lesson, but I feel that the wraith of his actions and the closure of this establishment right now, is fit to the way he treated his employees. Karma is loud. You cannot abuse peoples service and provide paychecks late, for weeks on weeks. Then not even provide their tax return materials after a hardworked year for you establishment. Not to mention the endless loopholes that we are finding you used. Please do better. read more

Wow! I have a new favorite in town. I was greeted warmly when I walked in. They specialize in Flame grilled chicken, and they have many different ways of serving said chicken - grilled with your choice of sauce (piri lemon, piri garlic, piri medium, piri hot, or piri extra hot), kebabs, burgers, wraps, salads, bowls, and even meals to share. There is a nice array of delicious looking sides, as well, and some vegetarian options. I opted for the grilled breast and wing with medium peri sauce and a Galos salad. You place your order at the counter then sit at a table and they bring the food to you. They have a Kulshan and Aslan beer on tap, as well as wine. For pop, they have a Pepsi machine with lots of choices. The lady who took my order brought over several of the other sauces for me to try. I enjoyed the lemon and garlic sauces, and was "chicken" to try the hot ones. The chicken was moist and flavorful. It is grilled with the bones, so be prepared to work a little for your food. It comes off the bones so easily. Really, really good. The Galos salad was also wonderful - fresh lettuce, cucumber, sunflower seeds, roasted chickpeas, and dried cherries with a vinaigrette dressing. Extra bonus points for the manager walking around to check on everyone. And the interior space is beautifully done. Lots of wood, comfortable chairs and booths. There are 4 TVs but music plays so no sound from the TVs. Can't wait for my next visit. Highly recommend!! read more

I ordered the Galos Piri Chicken Bowl and loved it topped with sour cream and added the Piri sauce to it for a little kick. I also ordered the Piri fries and they were perfectly golden snd crispy! If you value thoroughly cooked food that you can get in a standard lunch hour (or half hour) just look elsewhere. To be fair: the taste of the food is good. Sure. But a simple Caesar salad with chicken and pre-cut lettuce and pre-portioned dressing should not have taken 45 min. to get. Nor the last time. Nor the time before that. I keep giving them chances because I enjoy their food. But customer service-wise, they are not dialed in. First time, my order was wrong. Second time they just left out one of our orders. Third time they have me salmon that was thoroughly raw in the middle (had been frozen, which is fine... but you still need to cook it through). We've never had the food ready on time, and today it was just too dang slow. It's really a shame. I can't recommend this place right now.
