I like trying new food and don't mind spending extra especially if the name of the food sounds convincing so anyways if you think the double leg and thigh is what it seems- it's not; the portion and name was honestly not worth the $12. The veggie bowl- also the name is not what it seems, like why is it called that in the first place? The zucchini fries or fried zucchini, whatever they're called, I just thought: where's the zucchini? I'll give it to em for the crispy fries and the young cashier who was nice but that's it. Soon thereafter I ordered, it started getting busier with lots of people who didn't not look like me, as I am Latina, so that in itself made my brother in law have his own opinion. he tasted it and even then was like "yeah I would not pay that much but I'm thankful I know now." All in all, I went back and asked the cashier if my order was right and he said "yes I agree that the pricing for portion is ridiculous but I'll talk to my manager for you." We had lunch there today. Lots of great choices including shrimp and vegetarian. Also a kids menu (smaller portions) that anyone can order from. I had the Chicken Galos Piri bowl, medium spicy piri sauce (options included no spice, hot, and hotter). Just right. No spicier than a 1 or 2 in Thai restaurants. Lots of fresh veggies, rice, and diced chicken breast. I'd probably get the kids bowl next time. It was a lot of food! Really, really good. Worst experience at a restaurant. Waited over 45 minutes for food and there was hardly anyone eating. It sat at the window for 10 minutes so by the time we received it, it was cold. The couple in front of us asked for a refund since they didn't even receive their food and they waited longer than us. I tried this restaurant for the first time today and was VERY disappointed. I ordered a chicken breast and wing and a Ceasar salad. The Cesar salad was brown and inedible. The breast was ok, but it was a bit dry and the wing was nonexistent. This cost me $14 for lunch and all I got out of it was the small, dry breast. I will not be coming back to this restaurant. Fantastic relatively new place. The ambiance inside is chill and cozy. Chicken is consistently good, moist and well-seasoned. Rice was a little dry and bland but the other sides were all great. Ordered online. Got to the restaurant and waited in line for five minutes . Got to the server and explained that I had an online order and also wanted to know the price of the lava cakes (they weren't on the online menu and but were on the store menu and sounded good). She told me their online orders don't usually pop up for them, so there would be a wait as they made my food. She got the order uploaded and looked up the price of the lava cakes. She said, "We could throw one in, if you like." I said, "Well there are two of us, so if you'd throw one in, I'll gladly buy a second." She rang them up and told me my total would be $14.xx. She went to deliver an order. When she came back, I explained that I had thought she was planning on comping one. She gave a short laugh and said, "no". I told her to go ahead and cancel the dessert and sat down to wait for my order. Fifteen minutes later and I'm still waiting.... To be clear, I'm not upset about not getting something comped or the miscommunication. But, I an upset that it's so matter of fact that the website tells me my order will be ready at 7:33 and I'm sitting here at 7:53 with no food in sight and this seems to be a normal, unapologetic part of the way this business is run. The quality of the chicken has declined, the preparation has become sloppy, and the staff are now completely unable to get orders right. Flavorful, moist chicken just dancing with flavor, nice chunky red and green peppers lightly grilled, and rice that's nice enough to eat on its own, THIS is something to order! We've been ordering their most popular, a chicken piri bowl, and we ask for a medium with their garlic and hot sauce on the side for extra kick. The staff are sweet and friendly, it's fun to let them know how great their food is. I'm a picky home cook, new in town and I'm just ridiculously effusive when we walk in here, it's so good. I know it's the pandemic, and I really like the taste of their food and their dishes. So I'm giving them a 3 for now. First time ordering, it was all awesome. Second time ordering via mobile, the order hadn't come through. Not their fault, necessarily. But not a good experience to order, wait 40 minutes, and then wait another 20 minutes when you're there. They were very apologetic and all. And as I said, the food was good. Third time, food was prepared on time ready to go, but the salmon on my salad was only cooked about 2 mm into the portion. The rest was quite raw. No indication if this was sushi grade salmon (I'd assume not) so I had to throw that out. Luckily I'd eaten very little of it. Maybe if they were busy this would make sense, but there was NOBODY in there or in line. I mean, a simple thermometer would tell you if you'd reached 145°F. So... great concept and tastes. I'm saying this out of love for a place that we visit probably once a month . Normally really decent , your Bellingham location needs some serious help now . Last time in , everything was perfect . Today was a total c*********k . For starters , there was no one that was allowed to serve us beer , so we drank water :-/ . Next , we had to repeat our order several times , and they still ended up bringing cole slaw that I didn't order instead of my fries . There was only I think 3 tables with customers , and it took 35 minutes to get our food . They put our chicken on tiny plates (last time it was on a platter style plate , just right ) that made cutting the chicken w/o it spilling on the table nearly impossible , the Caesar salads weren't in the usual bowls , but on a plate , and I counted no less than 20 croutons covering it . I could see the guy working the kitchen , reach into a bucket of lettuce with his hands , grab a fistful , put it into our bowls . I'm not going to tell you how he opened the dressing bottle :-p . I had the feeling that none of the 3 people working had received any real training , so I'm questioning if it was actually their fault . I recommend to the manager to be there during the lunch rush , and not leave a crew of 3 lost crew members to handle it . C'mon people . I don't want to lose this restaurant . read more

We will drive into town specifically for Galos chicken wings when the craving strikes! It's SO delicious. Best chicken ever. We also love their piri sauces. And the FRIES! If you want something healthy, nutritious and family-pleasing, I'd highly recommend trying them out. The mixed vegetables are grilled to perfection too, if you're looking for something on the healthier side of things for a side dish. It's also a bonus that Galos is so easy to access. My wife and I stopped in for an early lunch and as it was the first visit we had Karen at the counter offer us some suggestions. My wife had a wrap and I had the 1/4 plus chicken. It arrived promptly, nice and hot. My wife loved the wrap and my dish had great flavour, nice and moist with additional sauces to add even more flavour - not that it needed it at all but Karen wanted me to try them all!
