After being recommended for crowns it was indecided to just pull the teeth. Of the three, only one tooth was successfully pulled.. The other two half of the teeth are still lodged in my jaw. The Spanish speaking woman in the front desk needs to be talked to. She is extremely rude, miserable & doesn't try to help. My mom went in because she was told her insurance had authorized her crowns. It's turns out it was an error, it hadn't been authorized & they wanted her to pay over 1k for that visit. She could've have simply explained THEIR ERROR & rescheduled her. My mom said why I have insurance, & that lady said "I'm telling you you don't have any" my mom hasn't received her insurance cards for some reason, but the last time she was there they were able to look her up in the system. She refused to do that this day. My mom doesn't plan to come back here. I don't know what is going on with this person, but she shouldn't be allowed to talk to others this way. I am a new patient at Galt Dental Group. It had been a long time since I'd seen a dentist and I was a bit nervous. The wait for an open appointment was expected to be a few months. However, I got a call in a few days for an opening I couldn't make, then a bit later for an opening I could make. So great to get in. They took full mouth xrays, and suggested a deep cleaning. I expected it to involve cutting gums and lots of pain but was pleased that it was about getting plaque out from under my gums, which now lie down so nicely against my roots, and basically didn't hurt at all. I had a horrible experience here, and the way they worked makes it seems like they only care about how much they can ignore in order to get the max amount of money from Medi-cal. I had to call Medi-cal and ask to get x-rays and a cleaning taken properly somewhere else. X-rays in my visit were not done correctly and I asked about my every 6 months cleaning and was told I didn't need it. A few months later I managed to get on my dad's Insurance where I was told I had multiple cavities and decided to fix one and observe the rest. I'm in my 40s and have managed to never have a cavity. I've had 2 sealants in my lifetime, and that's it. I switched here bc it was local and in my network. Seems the crap they've pulled on me has been going on for years after reading some of these reviews. I had to wait 9 months for my initial appt and the cleaning consisted of a polishing. No floss, no fluoride, no tarter scraping. My follow up appt rolls around, and I am canceled on the same day as my appt and rescheduled a month out! Then, on the day of my appt they call and cancel me again!!! When I finally got in, guess what? They didn't clean my TEETH!! They took x-rays and claimed they were short staffed. Well, several weeks before my appt I felt pain in my tooth while flossing. I can see brown in between my tooth! I'm getting or finally got my first cavity, and this dentist tells me it's fine?! Says my gums are swollen and prescribed a rinse LOL. My gums are beyond fine. .but after waiting months and months for basic care and a shotty cleaning, I am now dealing with a cavity. On top of all this the place is filthy. I am talking thick dust on everything. These people are strait scam artists..delaying care and waiting til you have major issues in order to do expensive procedures that you would have never needed had the dentist done his job!! Awful service. Called for an appointment for both of my children. The day before their appointment I received a call to reschedule one of the appointments. The day of the appointment it became clear why: they were over booked. The place was dirty and the staff was rude. When we returned for the rescheduled appointment at first we were told that we didn't have an appointment but when I protested we were told that they would fit us in. However shortly after we were called up and told that they no longer accept our insurance as of the week before. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! When we got home, I called insurance provider to complain and will now drive to Elk Grove to be seen. Steer clear from this place, i was this place for 6 years (beleive the negative reviews below they dont care about their patients), they will neglect your teeth and the teeth of family members, don't get crowns done here they don't stand by their shotty work they do, this place will try to gaslight you and make any concerns you have with the work they do as being your fault for not going to dental school if something goes wrong. I have never had a dentsit like this guy before. I started to notice a patten (that this place isn't an honest place of business) and realizing i haven't had a cavity in forever all that i seem to have done is crowns or removals, when my dental history I I had cavities. I remember one of my teeth mimicing what my tooth on the other did that I had to have a crown put on, I went in because I didn't want to lose any more teeth the dentist told me I had no cavities as they also took a full mouth x rays. Beleiveing him a little over a month later about, my tooth chips, I call in to set up an appointment upset because i came to them for help and they told me everything was fine, Instead of taking responsibility they give a dissmissive and Narcissistic response claiming my tooth could have decayed drastically since we last saw eachother, I got in so they can look at it and what do you know there I saw and empty xray of mine and they had to retake my X ray for that exact tooth, oh that doesnt look obvious , that's such dishonesty so i had to have a crown done and when I went back into have the crown put on, part of my toothchipped off more and the6 couldn't do the crown. I had to have that tooth removed as it wouldn't support a crown. Similar with my kids, the last time my kids was seen at this location I was told my oldest son had no cavities and everything looked good, but i did have a concern about my 9 year old son front baby tooth not coming out and my youngest all ready had his to front adult teeth in, something i had expressed many times before to the dentist and i was told everything was fine, however this last time my kids saw this dentist i was able to get him refered out to have it removed and he was seen a few weeks later at the child dentist by this point i had suspected that they were letting things go to create an even bigger issues later. Since the child dentist did a full mouth scan, I asked the receptionist to have him look to see if everything looks good, my hunch was correct, not only did my son have a few cavities, he also has tooth fragments in his gums from when he lost his baby teeth on his lower jaw that needed to be removed. I also wanted to comment on my concern about my sons front tooth as this is still a current issue, because this dentist didn't listen to my concerns sooner about my sons baby tooth not coming down. I have now been told that something should have been done sooner to encourage his tooth to come down and now they don't know even if braces are put on and they cut open his gums to attach a rod to it if it will encourage it to hopfully come down . There is a likely chance that it won't come down at all. read more

This review is about the dentures that I received. They slant down on the upper left, they look like they are from a novelty store. When I pointed this out the dr blamed it on my gums, said they slanted. Wtf kind of bs excuse is that? I have to live with these corny looking teeth. I will call my insurance co. to see if I have any options. Also I wanted them White, not yellowed. I waited almost four months for them and still have issues. The worst clinic ever. I had an appointment at 9 and had to wait 40 minutes in the chair just to get a cleaning that only takes 2 minutes max. I was one of the first people to get called in and I watched the staff's family members get treated first. Also the staff brings their kids in who run around the place touching the equipment and the gloves which are then unknowingly used by the staff. I've read peoples horror stories about this place and have been told by friends how long they take and how bad they are but being my insurance is assigned to them I had to come here. The receptionist was nice the woman who took my xrays was nice and the other woman who helped was nice. The dentist was very nice and you could hear him being calm with younger patients who were scared. The wait was the worst part but I was in by 10 and out by 11:05 . I was a first time patient this past week and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this office. I had two Wisdom teeth extracted by the oral surgeon Dr. Chen who by the way was amazing. The two assistants that I dealt with were Nancy and Maria, I just love these girls. They made me feel very comfortable and were extremely gentle and professional. I have been coming to Galt Dental Group for years now and really like this place. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seen. The receptionist is very helpful and is very accommodating to me when I've needed her help. Even with my insurance and with my crazy schedule she has assisted me to the best of her ability. The dentist is an honest man and does good dental work. He is also very informative which is helpful And the dental assistants are always kind, friendly, and concerned about how I'm feeling along the way. The Dentist barley looked at her teeth and said she has no cavities. She did have one, it was in a baby tooth but still he was very short with us. I was very uncomfortable. My daughter had been coming here for several years but her dad has been taking her. This time around, I decided to scheduled her appt. and brought her in. I didn't particularly care for their policy of parents not being able to go beyond the waiting area, due to confidentially, at least that's what the sign said. This is the first dental office that restricted parents from seeing the treatment that is being administered to their minor child. As a Social Worker and with all of the news surrounding child molestation and abductions, I am not okay with this policy. When did they think that this policy was acceptable, especially with minors? If u haven't vetted the dentist or doctor, dental hygienist or anyone assisting behind the doors, how do you know you can trust them. Just because they are professionals, does not mean they are not capable to doing the worst things imaginable to children. Not to mention, how does a minor know how to consent for dental treatment? I have been getting my teeth cleaned every 6 months for 25 years. Usually takes around an hour and I leave pretty sore with my goody bag of toothpaste and brushes. Not this place. They took X-rays, the dentist picked at my teeth for a few minutes, then they flossed and brushed them. That was it! Whole appt took about 15 minutes with most of it being X-rays. No goody bag. Really really poor cleaning. Didn't make me feel like I was getting anything for the money that I pay. Won't go back. read more

If I could give less stars I would. I was having a dental emergency and I called their office 6 times in the past 4 days, with no answer. I figured "oh, they might be at lunch or really busy". I work 40hrs a week, all day long so it's hard for me to take the time to call the office, so I call when I can. Today I called their office 15 times in one hour (at 12pm- their automated message says they don't go to lunch until 1pm). Out of the 15 times I called, not once did I get an answer. There's no way they could be SO busy as to not answer the phone at all. And it's Monday, they're open. I even called their emergency line 3 times and didn't get an answer. This is ridiculous. How is someone supposed to get their emergency tended to when no one answers the phone, not even the EMERGENCY LINE. read more

They handled the referral request with my plan and I was able to recently have the procedure done with them.
