The sunset cruise did not disappoint!! Our crew was fantastic and we had a great time.

This was the group that we went out with. Had so much fun.

Awesome experience! So much fun. We had some people with us (not in our group) that were a little apprehensive and didn't want to get wet so our captain was probably a little more conservative than normal, but still a great time and completely worth the money

So we went a little early to walk around and such and per the man working from here standing on the corner of parking said we could go on to the dolphin tour earlier than our 11AM time. Thought that was super cool and helped save Us time on our vacation! Once you park in the paid parking area- $6 bucks, there is signs and that a man that I was referring to earlier to help assist/direct you. On the boat, it was 2 of them working -the captain and another younger man walking around the boat helping, which we're very nice and knowledgeable! On spring break week on a Tuesday morning @10AM, there was only approx 3 other families that joined us. It was SO foggy, I thought they would cancel it but nope, he was great. We saw dolphins jumping, swimming, and playing within 5 minutes of boarding. We looked and awwww'ed at them for approx 20 minutes. It was fun and cool to see them all around the boat! Also, saw old Riggs and big boats docked. It was cool scenery! Kids loved it. I would def recommend for families of all ages!

We booked both a dolphin tour and a ride on the jet boat with these guys and let me tell you...they are awesome! We did the dolphin tour first and Austin and Mike were great! They took us out to an old sunken boat and have us some history on that, answered all of our questions, made a ton of jokes, and were all around great guides! They gave us some lunch recommendations and they did not disappoint with those either. We went back after lunch for a ride on the jet boat. If you haven't ridden this then you should definitely do it. It's super fast and exciting and we really had a great time! I recommend both!

Stephen and Mason did a masterful job on this incredible hour sightseeing and adventure tour where we were able to see 100s of Dolphins up close and get a little bit of the history of Galveston. Great for groups like ours of 20 students the crew was professional fun and friendly and a great activity if you're in the area. They also have Sunset Cruises available for groups of adults. Thanks guys for a great experience!

10/10 would recommend! We took the dolphin tour one day and went back for the sunset cruise the next. We saw dolphins both times we went. If you want to see plenty of dolphins then go first thing in the morning. The sunset cruise was fun and laid back! The crew is super nice and friendly. They cracked jokes and would stop the boat when dolphins were near by. We loved Austin, Cole and Mike! Probably the best thing we did on this trip. Definitely will go again!

View from the boat! One of the dolphin views (snapshot from video excuse the quality...use your video during tour!)

We did a 1-hour dolphin tour 7/12/2020. We really didn't have any expectations, we just needed something to do. The guys ensured social distancing and hygiene on the boat. We arrived a few minutes early, so we were allowed to join the earlier trip without issue. It's a beautiful ride! Honestly, the guys are young and laid back. It took me a few minutes to relax, trust that they knew what they were doing, and we were safe. We are glad we did! The guys gave a very fun and knowledgeable tour. We were able to see several dolphins and other sea life. Overall, we definitely recommend to see more of Galveston!

Super fun! Our tour guides were great! Especially Stephen! He's a hoot! Great music played during the tour, had us in stitches the entire time. Definitely had a great time! Thanks for making the end of our trip a great memory!

My daughter, about to ride the jet boat.

What a thrill! My daughter and I had a blast and enjoyed our experience! The employees were kind and added to the awesomeness of the experience!

    About to head out.

Had a fun time today, saw a number of dolphins and learned a little bit about Galveston history. I would recommend Galveston Water Adventure for anyone wanting to see some dolphins.

Word of mouth is definitely one of the ways that these tours garner more people on each tour. Our tour guide for this evening was David and he was so welcoming and knowledgeable on the tour that our tour that evening went on a bit longer than it should have. I chalk that up to everyone on the tour being enthralled by the history and the many questions we all had. Plus David took time to go a little more in depth for the tour. As you can see, our tour was of the Red Light District of Galveston. This tour gave me more insight into how Galveston was in earlier times and how that shaped the way Galveston was shaped. Where we were in the city definitely embraces the red light portion of it. Some businesses paid homage to the area and the significance it played in shaping the city. Where you start your tour is basically where the Port of Galveston once stood for the many military ships that would drop anchor here and the many sailors would start their journey into town. As the name suggests, this area was exactly what it was and the buildings still bear signs of that time. Many of them have upper balcony areas which allowed for the working ladies to work. We made our way through the area to notable businesses that have been in the area a while. So much so that they have markers on the building to let you know where water levels were during past hurricanes. We were also informed about what the Blue Light District was. I had no idea about this, but that refers to the section in the city that catered to those looking for working men for some same sex fun. Learn something new every day. While this tour focuses on the Red Light District, we walked and got a lot of information and history on other things around the island as well. Some topics touched on were the mob, the railroad, the historic buildings, and how life was in this area of the city. You can almost see the lines of the neighborhood as you are walking as well. Now, this isn't necessarily a ghost tour, but it could be as we were told about chilling things that happened in this area and the outcomes of some of the people in the area. Definitely a worthwhile thing to do if you have the time.

Highly recommend this tour. Easy walk. Fun info about the area. David was excellent!!!read more

Baywatch Dolphin Tours is one of the most popular dolphin excursions on the island, taking guests out onto the Galveston Harbor on a fleet of four different pontoon boats with shaded seating and open sides for sightseeing. Dolphins often swim through Galveston Bay and are easy to spot on wildlife-watching outings from Pier 21, and as such, a dolphin-watching trip is a perfect excursion while staying at your Galveston. The outings last 45 minutes and cover 3 miles of waterfront, so they're easy to squeeze in on a busy day of sightseeing in the Downtown Historic Strand Seaport Area. On this tour, you'll be able to see Galveston's waterfront attractions, like Pier 21, 1877 Tall Ship ELISSA, and the S.S.Selma while learning about some of the harbor's history. As a veteran, I was most impressed with the history of the S.S. Selma. Fun facts: The Selma is a 7500 ton reinforced concrete tanker built in Mobile, Alabama, was launched on June 28, 1919. The ship was one of several concrete ships conceived and designed during World War 1. Construction was not completed until the war ended. The ship had a length 420 ft., a beam of 54 ft. and a draft with full cargo of 26 ft.. and loaded displacement was 13,000 tons. This vessel marked the first use of shale aggregate expanded in rotary kilns for lightweight structural concrete. The tour guides were both entertaining and knowledgeable. If in the area, this tour is definitely one to go on as it's for all ages and can please those like me who like to learn historical facts on trips, for those who love nature (the dolphins were very active during our tour) and for all those in between. * Tours happen rain or shine

It was clean, amazingly fun to see all the spaces. If you have a baby you'll want to baby wear them. Strollers can't go below deck because it's stairs. Some of the stairs are tight or small spaces but you don't have to take the smallest stair you can take one main stair down and then back up. The crew were so kind and helpful! The atmosphere was light and jolly. We have a delightful time. There is a bathroom in their gift shop and benches by the gift shop for anyone who needs to sit. An adult ticket for the one hour boat tour is $17 and you can add another tour of the adjacent sailing ship Elissa for another $8 to make it a combo price of $25 total. Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket booth at Pier 22 between Fisherman's Wharf restaurant and Willie G's restaurant. This tour is conducted on a 50' boat with twin inboard motors. The boat has a lower deck that is covered with open sides and another deck upstairs that is open air and provides the best seats for viewing as long as the weather is good. All seats are general admission so if you want a topside seat board early. The tour makes one loop of the inner harbor along with venturing just outside near the shipping channel and on the other side of Pelican Island. There you pass by the Naval Museum that includes a destroyer escort and submarine from WW II both on land and a little further you will see the remains of the old SS Selma freighter that was scuttled there. It was a ship that was built of concrete during WW I and then scuttled shortly thereafter. For some reason, my tour only got with about 250 yards of it and no closer. Also during the boat ride you will numerous dolphins that are native to the area. There are other tours advertised as dolphin watching tours and I'm not sure how they are different from this one because my tour saw many on our ride. An added treat was being able to cruise by Battleship Texas which is currently in dry dock on the other side of the harbor and fully exposed from the stern for great viewing. The tour returned on time. The only reason I don't give 4 stars is because we should have gotten closer to the Selma for viewing and pictures and the audio speakers topside were very weak and made it hard to hear the live narration of the sites we saw passing by. If you visit the island and want to get out on the water and see the sights this is a good diversion to consider.
