Check in was super quick. They had offered to lock up your phone but I felt better hanging onto it. You also have to remove your shoes cause you will get wet regardless of where you sit. My husband and I took the sunset cruise with Galveston Water Adventures to celebrate our 27th anniversary. The departure location was easy to find and check in was quick. We did not have to wait long to board the boat and get going on our adventure. Captain Stephen and Captain Austin were very personable and made connections with everyone on the boat. They were both informative and energetic and found the perfect spot to watch the sun set. They made sure to turn the boat for every single group/couple just to get the sunset in a personalized picture. That's first class service! Overall it was good trip, too short though. Towards the beginning of our trip, we were given the option of going to look at the mans face in the building or getting closer to the sunken ship. The boat unanimously voted to go look at the spooky face, we didn't realize it would take so long to get there that we wouldn't have time to go back into the water to look at dolphins. We did see a few dolphins in the distance at the beginning of our tour but that was about it. The face was cool but if we knew that would take up half of the tour, we wouldn't have done it. I think we will do another tour next time that gives some history of the harbor and a little more time spent out looking for dolphins. read more

So we went a little early to walk around and such and per the man working from here standing on the corner of parking said we could go on to the dolphin tour earlier than our 11AM time. Thought that was super cool and helped save Us time on our vacation! Once you park in the paid parking area- $6 bucks, there is signs and that a man that I was referring to earlier to help assist/direct you. On the boat, it was 2 of them working -the captain and another younger man walking around the boat helping, which we're very nice and knowledgeable! On spring break week on a Tuesday morning @10AM, there was only approx 3 other families that joined us. It was SO foggy, I thought they would cancel it but nope, he was great. We saw dolphins jumping, swimming, and playing within 5 minutes of boarding. We looked and awwww'ed at them for approx 20 minutes. It was fun and cool to see them all around the boat! Also, saw old Riggs and big boats docked. It was cool scenery! Kids loved it. I would def recommend for families of all ages! read more

We booked both a dolphin tour and a ride on the jet boat with these guys and let me tell you...they are awesome! We did the dolphin tour first and Austin and Mike were great! They took us out to an old sunken boat and have us some history on that, answered all of our questions, made a ton of jokes, and were all around great guides! They gave us some lunch recommendations and they did not disappoint with those either. We went back after lunch for a ride on the jet boat. If you haven't ridden this then you should definitely do it. It's super fast and exciting and we really had a great time! I recommend both! read more

We did a 1-hour dolphin tour 7/12/2020. We really didn't have any expectations, we just needed something to do. The guys ensured social distancing and hygiene on the boat. We arrived a few minutes early, so we were allowed to join the earlier trip without issue. It's a beautiful ride! Honestly, the guys are young and laid back. It took me a few minutes to relax, trust that they knew what they were doing, and we were safe. We are glad we did! The guys gave a very fun and knowledgeable tour. Booking.com recommended to use this service and so we thought we'd try it out since we were right in the area. It was easy to find and we were able to actually get an earlier ride than the one we bought the ticket for but I was glad because it wasn't a full load of people. There were plenty of places to sit and stand so we were easily able to walk around and watch the dolphins in the harbor. The guides are great. It was a lot of fun and we got to see a boat made of cement so that was pretty funny. I definitely recommend it. It's good for anybody, kids and adults. I would recommend parking over by the Fisherman's Wharf and getting your parking validated by getting lunch after. It makes for a fun trip. read more

We were going to check out a Dolphin tour with a different company. When we pulled in to the pier area a man approached us and told us he had a tour leaving within 30 mins whereas we would have to wait an hour for the company I was going to use. Also we weren't sure where to get info from the company I was going to use so we say what the heck, we will just go with this tour. We parked and go to the stand to get tickets and are told we will have to wait an hour. Ugh, ok, not what the guy who flagged us down said. We figured we would go have drinks and get our parking validated while we waited. Then the time comes to get on the boat and the boat is packed. They said it would be at 50% capacity but it was pretty full. Also this company doesn't have a boat with a deck like the company I wanted to use did. Oh well. We already paid for this. The guides were nice enough but they were more interested in chatting with each other than telling us any history or jokes or interacting with us hardly at all. We saw a few dolphins but it was more so just an hour ride around in the boat. I would suggest going with another company. They all operate in the same vicinity of one another. read more

I enjoyed some Galveston Water Adventures over Mother's Day Weekend. We booked the Jet Boat Tour and the Dolphin Sight Seeing Tour. The Jet Boat Tour was AWESOME! Really great and skilled captain. Note: you will have to take your shoes off to get onto the jet boat. 10/10 would do the jet boat tour again. The dolphin sight seeing tour... was a snooze fest. Halfway through I was looking forward to getting off of the boat already. Nice history facts given and we saw a few dolphins out there but the boat moves super slow and there's not a lot to see out in Galveston waters. The tours leave right on the dot, so make sure you get there early. We missed our first initial booked time for the dolphin tour and was charged a 20% rebooking fee to move it to a later time. No surprise however since this was fully disclosed on their website. It was personal conflict that cause us to be late. Very easy to find them. Paid parking right by their location as well, it's $6 per hour with a max of $20 per day I think. Restroom available for use at the building right by the waters. Okay, no, this isn't a paid commercial but I did have a great time on this boat. We not only got to see a buncha cute dolphins but we also got a great tour of Galveston bay-including oil rigs, cruise ships, sunken ships and shrimping boats-which was quite frankly just as fun and interesting as seeing dolphins. The captain was friendly and knowledgable and the tour was a nice cool breeze on a 107° day. I'd definitely recommend them if not go again myself next time I'm in Galveston. read more

We went to Fisherman's Wharf and noticed the sunset cruise and decided to try it out. The cruise is about $30/pp, ages 21+ and 2 hours from 7-9. The cruise was very nice. The hosts were very friendly and allowed the riders to enjoy the cruise. You can bring your own drinks and snacks aboard. We were able to see a few dolphins and got great views of the gulf. Wow! This was a great experience! My family and I are in Galveston celebrating my toddlers birthday so we wanted to add a dolphin tour to the activities planned for him. This company is not concerned with keeping the customers safe during the COVID pandemic, the captain kept taking his mask down, his assistant didn't wear one at all, boat was to crowded for safe social distancing, they should be shut down and have training about the guide lines for COVID Also, when we went to check in for our "tour" (basically a boat ride) none of the 4 people there had masks on, as the parent of a child who is immuno compromised I found this deplorable Lastly, once the boat left the dock, it was encouraged for people to drink, so of course masks came off and all precautions were out with most of the customers, is it not possible to have people refrain from alcohol for one hour? read more
