This place is absolutely awful. Nice enough people but incredibly unreliable and kept me waiting for weeks just to get an estimate for my install in my bathroom. Not sure why they are neglecting business, but maybe I am just too small time to hold their attention. Very frustrating as I then had to give up after calling 6-7 different times for my estimate and was forced to seek out an alternative vendor. I didn't realize that they do not specialize in auto glass and I wish they would've said that when I called. Their time estimation is accurate- I was advised 4 hours for a windshield replacement and it took 5. They are very nice, but to be honest I was disappointed with the work done on my car. The lady that rung me up told me if I have any problems to let them know. As soon as I drove off I pulled over down the street and took a look at the window and noticed that on one side it looked great but on the other red clips were showing. I've never seen this before on any windows. In addition, my cowel was cracked- it was never cracked before. The top of the window had small gaps and it looked messy. He also left greasy fingerprints everywhere. And I just noticed he scratched the interior of my car. I'm so upset. This is so messed up. Anybody that looked at the window would think I replaced it because it doesn't look professional at all. I turned around after noticing all of these issues and brought it to their attention. I was advised, oh those are just clips, no big deal, don't worry about it. I brought my car to an auto glass repair shop in Fall River to get a second opinion. He looked at it and said it was put together poorly. He actually started snapping it back together in some places. I asked him if he could fix it and he offered to do the entire job over for $300. He told me to call my automaker For a new cowel and we would replace it, I did and that costs $200-300! I'm very disappointed and I will never go here again. I do not recommend anyone going to this place to get their windshields replaced or fixed. I'm now spending triple the money to get this repaired professionally. read more

Gambrel Glass has always taken great care of me. It's a family run shop so on occasion you might have to be patient waiting for a callback because they're out on a job but the work is always great and I'm happy with my results. Something has happened to Gambrell glass. I have made so many attempts to contact them. I even went to their location in person TWICE and gave them the measurements. No follow up. Basically same experience as another commenter. It's puzzling, since the older reviews are so good. read more
