This was a great bonding family activity, but I can imagine it also being a great date night or…read morelaugh filled experience with friends. Maybe even a great team building adventure with co-workers. The quality of this experience over other escape rooms really sets the tone of future expectation. The waiting lounge was comfortable, everything was sparkling clean, the puzzle was a mind bender, the gamemaster (Arianna) was attentive and focused on our experience being perfect from start to finish! We felt like real VIPs. We want to go back and do all the rooms. It would be great if there was a way to track with a commemorative trinket, or like a digital monopoly game, or buy a special collection shirt for the rooms that we solve! Great experience, highly recommend!

The cost was $110 for a group of 3 (about $36 per person). It was a private room and I would suggest 3-5 participants as these are narrow rooms. The lobby had a Steampunk design which immediately had my attention. The hallway was narrow and down each hall there was a door that was assigned to each experience. To be honest it didn't look like it would be much due to size but when we entered the room it was cleverly decorated and very engaging. The length of the room was quite deceptive. To be honest I assumed this would be very easy room since I associated the theme to be childlike but no ma'am, no ham, no turkey! They did a great job and at the end offered us each a bottle water and bracelet. They also offered a discount for your next adventure. To be honest if I had the time I would've booked another room ! To top off the experience we received an email reminding us that we did not escape along with a picture of our experience . If you're in the Fayetteville, NC area or anywhere there's an escapology give it a try!

Then I remembered this little place tucked behind the arch down town! We came in and were greeted so warmly by the owner. I never caught his name, but he was so nice and helped get us all set up to solve a murder. There are a handful of different rooms that you can try, and I already know which one I want to do next. The room we did was recommended because of the fact that there was four of us and we would have space to spread out and all be in on the game. Once we were locked in, we got right to it! You can get clues along the way and there are folks watching you to make sure everything is ok. I am sure they were laughing at us, as we are a very animated bunch! There is a screen in the room to pay attention to, and they will also guide you through a speaker in the corner. The clues and puzzles inside are done really well and are pretty tricky. We missed solving our murder by only minutes!!! We knew who did it, but had a few stumbles along the way getting things done quickly enough. It was still a super fun time, and I know that my Husband and I will come back to try out the other rooms!

Our game host, Attic, was kind and enthusiastic, which helped make the experience enjoyable. The facility itself was clean and well kept, and the waiting room had a lot of fun games to play before starting. The only thing to keep in mind is the booking/payment system for smaller groups. I came with one other person, but the online reservation system requires payment for a minimum of three people. Since there were only two of us, we still had to pay for a third person upfront, and the difference was given back as a coupon code for a future visit rather than as an actual refund. While I appreciate that they offer a credit, it did feel a little confusing and less straightforward than simply charging a higher two-person rate or clearly listing the minimum charge upfront. Overall, we had a good experience, but I do think the pricing/booking system could be made more transparent.

The room itself had a few rows from an actual airplane, and screens in the window simulated flying, which was a great touch. The puzzles were good for our young group, and the ability to ask for unlimited hints was crucial (we ended up asking for 5 hints). Some of the puzzles were pretty basic (akin to doing a sudoku puzzle without giving too much away). And almost all of the locks were basic 4-number locks; it would been cool to have some more creative locks instead of just trying to find 4 numbers over and over. For example, different style locks or automated mechanisms that would open a door when triggered would have made all the difference. But the airplane theme was strong, and the kids LOVED it. I did want to call out our game master, Jay, who could not have been more patient with our group. Thank you for making the experience so memorable for us!
