This gym really was and is a godsend and helped me with my Mental just as much as my Physical. I was so frustrated with how run down and crowded the local "Globo Gyms / 24 hour fitnesses" were after the pandemic and really felt like I was missing a sense of community and something different that challenged and kicked my butt everyday. I was nervous & anxious but found Blueprint and tried the free trial. The trainers were super friendly and greated me as i showed up. The gym is super clean and love the aesthetic. When I saw the Kobe & GiGi mural I just fell in love with the vibe. My first training session kicked my butt but Trainer Dan was supportive and made me feel comfortable to really go after it. After my second day I was hooked and knew this place was going to be my home for the imminent future. That was in 2022 and I've been a member since. One of my favorite parts is that there is such a unique blend of people who attend this gym and they come in all different shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. Crazy, I have heard about all of the rave of this place and it is actually true. The culture, the coaches, the blueprint is amazing. Everyone is extremely welcoming & kind. Usually with gyms like this style you would feel like there is a cliquy vibe, but this place is far from it and it's refreshing. The classes, are always pushing myself to the limit with the strength day, as well as the conditioning/ HITT days. Im confused on the one review claiming that they didn't get enough attention by the coaches because I feel like they were always on top of wha they needed to be on top of...Hence, if you feel like you need more attention try personal training rather than a group fitness classes that have 30 or more people in it. To whomever is reading this now, I solemnly swear to give you an honest review. If you want cliff notes then here it is: The atmosphere at the Blueprint L.A. is simply unmatchable!!! If you want to know more, keep reading :) Initially I heard about BPLA from a couple of high school friends who were always posting about how much fun it was and wanted to see what it was all about. They were student athletes and the workouts looked intense and I was both inspired and curious to see if I could survive them. I was on a new fitness journey and in the best shape of my life so I wanted something new to push me further along. I started with the 3-day trial and I won't lie to you, I didn't make it in for the next two days because it kicked my a** (but in the BEST WAY POSSIBLE. Shoutout to Coach Jake @6 a.m.) To put it into perspective all my co-workers were making fun of me for using the janitor's elevator at work because I couldn't take the stairs after all those squats. I kid you not, all it took was that one class to win me over and I left that workout a different person. I felt CHALLENGED and STRONG and yes TIRED A.F. but it was a good tired because I knew that I broke mental and physical barriers to feel that. Aside from an amazing workout I was really drawn into the gym as a whole because of the small details that you don't get everywhere else. Aesthetically it's beautiful and clean, when you enter you instantly feel welcomed and motivated because of their art, values and inspiration that they display and genuinely exert. The trainers are friendly and accommodating and they give you their time. They make it a point to learn your name and ask you about yourself, your struggles, goals, and if you have any injuries so they can moderate exercises for you. (This was a big deal for me because I do have injuries from time to time and some exercises just don't work for me, or I don't feel comfortable trying them.) The trainers work in pairs to make sure people aren't getting injured and will correct you so you can reap all the benefits of building your confidence and endurance for each exercise. The workouts are timed and stationed out like circuit training. Music is fun and hyped and it'll get you going, even at 6 a.m. The equipment is in excellent condition. Open lockers, bathrooms, water is available. The workouts are organized and displayed on a TV in case you forget. One of the best feeling that I got from the blueprint was that it wasn't a race or a competition. I never once felt ashamed for not doing something as fast as someone else because people were each going at their own pace and very encouraging. It definitely felt like a community of like-minded individuals of all shapes and fitness levels, who were there to work on themselves and motivate each other. The members are really friendly and high fives are a thing but if you like your space, don't stress about it, people definitely give that to you as well (which is important because some people don't like to socialize when they workout.) Even though I loved the vibe and positive energy of BPLA and wanted to sign up right then and there I just couldn't swing another gym membership because I couldn't afford it. At the time I was already committed to 5 different gyms: senderone rock climbing, core power yoga, amp fitness, kickboxing and planet fitness. A couple months passed but BPLA stayed with me in the back of mind through my fitness journey and as my other contracts ended I heard about the 45 to Fit Challenge and decided to sign up right before the holidays. It was a big financial leap for me but I decided that it was worth it because investing in my health is one of the best things I could do for myself. I also wanted to get a feel for the gym and make a sound decision on if it was the place for me before I committed to a 6-month membership. Honestly, It was one of the best decisions I have made for myself. The challenge was exactly what it sounds like and I really pushed myself to and past my limits. I came out of it stronger, my muscle mass was up and my BF was lowered. I had much more knowledge on technique and built my endurance. I made friendships and had a strong support system within the staff who shared their passion with us day in and day out. I was given nutrition coaching, meetings for goal-setting, reminder texts, helpful content and info for a well balance lifestyle and accessibility inside and outside the gym through phone and social media. S/O to Coach Lindsay (YOU DA BOMB!) And even though it was tough (yes, I had days that were hard to get out of bed...) I never once regretted coming to the gym and putting in that energy. It always feels incredible leaving a workout and knowing that I AM CAPABLE and I DID SHOW UP and PUT IN THE WORK. I did end up becoming a member because I do enjoy everything they have to offer. I was bullied and attacked most of my childhood so walking into new places with large groups of people can be intimidating and scary. Blueprint LA (BPLA) was the first gym I felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed the first day. I found Blueprint LA after I posted on Hermosa Forum (Facebook Group) looking for a personal trainer to get ready for my wedding. Coach Melissa answered my post. She was the one who first introduced me to BPLA and I will be forever grateful for her. I did personal training with Coach Melissa and Coach Shannan. I never felt alone. They have made such an incredible difference in my life. They helped me realize that if I am committed to something, there is nothing that will stop me from achieving what I want to achieve. Both trainers have pushed me to train harder than I would ever push myself. They continually inspire me to try things at a level higher than where my comfort zone lies and it means the world to me. They were patient, flexible to work around my schedule, and checked in on me daily to see how I was feeling after a session or in general. Melissa and Shannan are one-of-a-kind, really care about their clients, and want to make sure they reach their goals. They have helped me achieve an incredibly strong core which has given me more confidence with everything that I do! Thank you Melissa and Shannan for being my coach, friend and inspiration! This is more than just a gym, it is truly a welcoming Tribe. The BluePrint offers HIIT Cardio and Strength classes on a daily basis. They also offer a variety of specialty classes such as Yoga, Cardio Boxing, Breath Work, and Lower Body (Glute focus) workouts. What sets The BluePrint apart from other gyms is the way they care about the entire body (person) - physically, mentally, and spiritually by offering such classes. I went looking for a gym the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I was tired of feeling lonely working out at 24 hour fitness. I drove to six different gyms that Saturday and talked to the staff/owners, but it wasn't until I walked into the Blueprint that I felt at home. I took my first class the next day and loved all of it - the workout, the palpable camaraderie, the large, well-equipped space, and even the music. Now that I've been a member for a little while I've been exposed to a number of different instructors and they are all great - intelligent, educated, kind, good-humored and excited to be teaching. And unlike some other trainers I've worked with they have no objections if you want to modify on your own and can offer modifications if you ask. As an older female with a plethora of "battle scars" that is super important to me. Oh! And they even have yoga! And it's great! Great instruction, very detailed. I'll never forget the first time I trained at the BPLA. The VIBE was unlike anything I've ever experienced before... People of all ages, from all walks of life, GETTING AFTER IT in the midst of an electrifying atmosphere of black and blue, Stars and Stripes, and swinging kettle bells. I started going to the blueprint last October and ever since then I have loved working out. Walking into this gym is walking into a family that pushes you and wants you to be your best when you are working out. The trainers are unbelievable and the atmosphere of the gym is one of the best. He provided me great PT rehab after foot surgery that got me back on the tennis court and identified a weakness in my wife's hip that kept her in constant pain and created a training protocol that has her pain free. When entering a new gym or starting something new it is very normal to be intimidated or reserved but when I started at Blueprint I felt the exact opposite. Sophia was the first to reach out and got me set up with my trial she was so helpful. I wanted to try a variety of classes to ensure this was the right fit for me. Shawn and Shann are amazing coaches and their workouts are the perfect balance of comfortable yet challenging exercises manageable for anyone. Dave has an energy you don't see often. He is so excited when you show up to his class and reach new goals and comforting when you've had a rough few days. A gym that got me directed in the right path. A lot of people especially myself have gone through depression, heart ache and rough times. We all have families to push us and get us back on our feet. Blueprint helped change my life, pushed me when I wanted to give up. Blueprint made me apart their family. It started with 5 am workouts with every instructor helping you out along the way. I've been to a lot of gyms in life. Not one is as genuine as this post I'm writing it for. A lot of gyms don't invest time in you. The blueprint genuinely cares about each and every member. No matter what walk of life you are, what shape you're in, what you've done in life good and bad they treat you like you're apart of they're family.
