Friendly knowledgeable staff, was in the area and decided to check them out. Several games I couldn't remember the name of and they knew exactly what I was talking about and had all the hard to find titles from older to new consoles. Highly recommend a stop by and check them out. read more

I've been in a few times and the guys working are always super nice and helpful! I bought a Wii here and they made sure to tell me about the return policy in case anything didn't work. They also have a DVD/CVC buffer/cleaner in case anything isn't working properly (that doesn't have major damage). read more

I was told I would be getting a genuine Xbox 360 controller receiver. It was a cheap china knockoff that does not work. The store will not give cash back, they only want you to get store credit and be unhappy. Another downside is that they won't keep records of your purchases. This gives them a chance to not even give you store credit. read more

I have had nothing but great customer service. The store manager has always worked with me if I was short a little. I like all the employees there they are nice and proactive. I will choose this store over any game stop or any other game store. read more

Had a friend inform me that they sold and purchased vinyl records. I called and asked what they would offer on some records I had and I was told $.50 per record. Some of the records I had asked about were brand new, just to see what kind of price they would offer. They told me if it wasn't in their system of what they already had in stock, the best they could do is $.50. This place is worse than a pawnshop. I went in the Gainesville store with about 30 records and was told the same thing $.50 per record. The woman working told me that she wasn't going to waste her time looking up any of them and that she was told by her district manager to just enter them at a bulk purchase. She told me that they were just going to sell most of them for $1.99 each but I looked through some of their records ( several were the same that I had brought in my own stack) and some of those were selling for $10 read more

I just had the best experience I could hope for with the happy, helpful people at Game Exchange, Denton. Not only did I get excellent cause for my money, but each person was very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff is really nice and helpful the games I buy (even if used ) are always clean I rarely have problems finding games and when I do the staff always helps me find the game I'm looking for but some times controls have issues or have cracks and sell for the same price other than that this is a great place to buy video games, electronics and dvds etc.... read more

I reviewed the wrong store! D: this store is McKinney. Being "Denton" on the map confused me. This store deserves less than 1 star. 2 co workers asked a customer who helped them. They lady said a name and they both said "ohhh! He's a dumb a--." Completely inappropriate. The girl employee with really bad arm tattoos yelled LOUDLY at the customers in life to pick something because there's other customers waiting to pay. It was extremely awkward to be there in that tiny store and that crazy employee. She then said lyingly that she had anxiety or some crap. If so, work a back room or warehouse job, you don't need around customers. Their prices are okay but I try to avoid this one. The employees are unprofessional kids and it's just awkward at this one. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and have always pointed me in the proper direction if I need something they don't have. Poor customer service. The associates hold games for the district manager to resell out of store on eBay. I know this because I have talked to an associate about some games that were just traded in and I wanted one of them. She proceeded to spill the beans about what her district manager asked her to do and to top it off she is related to him. If I wanted to pay eBay prices and not support local I would stay home and shop. I only go here now to catch the store slipping on prices so I can sell them to buy games somewhere else. read more

I did a lot of business at Game X Change for a few years, including trading in movies, games and gaming consoles, but wont be going there anymore! The employees are rude and inattentive. When trading things in and using store credit, there is no system in their computer to access your account, just tiny slips of receipt paper that say your current amount on it. I had my wallet stolen with said tiny slip of paper in it, and had no way to access the money I was owed from all the trade in I had made. That sucks, and so does the fact that they don't have a real trading system. read more

I have purchased some games here but I stopped after awhile because of an employee who presented himself as a higher up. He might be the manager or assistant manager. He wears a ball cap and is hispanic. My boyfriend and I had been in there 3-4 times before. We purchased the Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition. He has to find the cd in their library behind the counter, gives it to us, we purchase it for like 10 bucks and he sends us on our way. We get home and discover it's not the special edition it's just Devil May Cry 3 which doesn't have what we wanted on it. It's too late to go back so we go the next day. I guess my boyfriend lost the receipt or threw it away with the bag so we didn't have it but the guy saw us buy it and like i said we had been in there before and he knew us. He says they never had the special edition to begin with, and he must of made a mistake but refuses to even give us store credit even though the case we have with the game in it said game xchange and the title on it. I asked if he could look up the purchases on his computer, and gave him the estimated time we bought it. He goes "well there is just too many purchases to look through"...are you kidding me? What a liar. It's not a shop tons of people are at everyday. It was his error that we got the wrong game in the first place and he didn't even apologize. I left but was pissed so came back in and gave him a piece of my mind. He gave us store credit, still no apology though. After that each time we came back to buy something he would ignore us and instruct someone else to help us. The last straw though was one time I noticed someone was trading in Luigi's Mansion so we waited around and then when the girl put it in the inventory we asked to buy it. Only 8 bucks...a steal for this game. As we are buying it he grabs it from her and is like "Why is it only 8 dollars I would have priced this game 15 dollars at the least. She shrugs and he looks at me, I glare at him because for a spilt second I thought he was gonna change the price or something. Guess he was just being a douche bag. Maybe one day ill come back but hopefully he won't be there. To be honest though the last couple times I visited the selection seemed to be worse. They had 12 plus copies of madden 2007 and less anything to actually care about. Prices on newer gen games (360/ps3) were also more expensive than what you would find at game stop. In the retro selection there was usually nothing interesting or special. Sure they had some Ocarina of Time but nothing to freak out over. There is a gaming store in the golden triangle mall that has way more selection and is organized better. read more

Very rude staff at Game Xchange Denton. They treated myself and a friend like we were stupid when asking simple questions about the condition of an item. One of the store associates said "we don't worry about that. And by "we", I mean the CUSTOMER". I will never shop here again and will tell all of my friends in TXRGS not to shop there as well. I am embarrassed for whoever is responsible for hiring the staff at this location. read more
