You can still get lucky at retailers and it'll be restocked. Here, just 2 days after launch, they're selling for $50. Just nuts. I guess it's clear this isn't a "card shop," it's a scalpers storefront. Don't go here looking for Lorcana--guessing the margins are too low. Except for their singles, which they sell for $2-4....crazy pricing for Lorcana. Anyways, i won't be back. Will have to continue my search for a card shop that's ethical and somewhat reasonable. --------- Edit in response to business reply: 1) i agree conversation could go a long way. But when your pricing on a brand new Pokémon set (which doesn't have a set market yet) is already 3x MSRP, what productive conversation can happen? It's just a straight up gouge. I'm not naive to expect to get everything at MSRP, but i think 3x markup 2 days post launch is unreasonable. 2) i did ask about Lorcana. I was told you "don't carry much" and "didn't have any right now." 3) you seem to be implying that you're aware prices are high and can then be negotiated lower. If that's how you want to do it that's your prerogative, just understand that's offputting for new customers. It's hard to want to establish a relationship and have a conversation when the first impression is being taken advantage of. And when your response to pricing questions is "well the hobby is thriving!" I don't think that's off base.

We had bought a xbox 360 and the controller that came with it had insane stick drift I took a video of it to show to the workers when my boyfriend got there, so he called and they agreed to let him replace it with another one. Needless to say this one was no better! It had corrosion all in the battery pack I took a soft q-tip to clean it out and it still did not work! I was fed up and so was he! Mind you we live an hour away! We spent 3 hours going back and forth to this location several times! Disc replay prides themselves on testing and giving you working controllers but it seems to me that they have been lazy lately and needless to say WE WILL NEVER RETURN HERE! If you are looking to go to a video game store consider going to disc replay in Downers Grove, they are not affiliated with them and the staff and everyone are so helpful. I even brought the busted controller in to them and they offered to replace the battery pack at no cost!

The staff will look up books to buy new for 20% off, too, if they are still in publication. The gentleman behind the desk showed us some special editions of some books. Although we could not buy them, it was really interesting to see. Good selection and genres are well marked so you will be able to find science or science fiction books.

Game Stop on Weber Rd is giving out false information and faulty systems…read more My son bought a used XBox on June 16 and the associate on the clock told him he had 30 days to return it. The box was marked as 30 day return. We were assured it worked and had even bought the extra warranty with it just in case that covered everything. The person working that sold it to us and told us verbally also you have 30 days to return it to get a refund. Assistant manager Jon said the associate had the wrong information. Again how is this our issue??? The system was faulty and lagging so my son took it back today and was told he would either have to sell it on Marletplace or trade it in. Why??? It had a 30 day return policy. They did say they would buy it off of him if he traded it in. He is a minor and was told to sign a paper. Should not have happened again last time I checked a minor. We went it because needless to say we were not happy! The assistant manager Jon told us oh well the associate should have verified he was 18 before having him sign. Didn't happen!!! We then wanted to get the system back so we can ship it in because apparently default systems can get a refund if we ship it but then again Assistant Manager Jon said there isn't anything they can do once a trade goes through it can't be reversed. Of course I was mad because a minor was told to sign a paper for trade was only to be signed by an adult 18 or older. He was given a gift card to use and it couldn't be reversed either so now infuriated. We told him to find what he can use the gift card on that is new and never opened because anything used they don't stand behind. Needless to say we have number to corporate and hope to get it resolved as my son is now out over $200.00 due to their misinformation. Will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE!!!!

I assumed she wanted a docking station for her Mac and a larger desktop monitor. But when I got to BB, she further explained that she actually wanted a PC desktop for gaming. I felt a little blindsided. I thought I was spending $500 and suddenly I'm looking at 2k setups. Without any warning or time to research. Ramy was soooo helpful. For a high school kid, he most definitely understood his stuff and was very good at explaining computers in a way I understood without it in any way sounding condescending. I know zero about gaming computers, but I never felt dumb because of it. I'd wished I had my gamer college aged son there, but Ramy made his help and presence unnecessary. I never felt any pressure to spend more than I wanted. Or buy more computer than she needed. He was very helpful in showing us a range of options at different price points and explained each of their pros and cons. I also really appreciated that even though she's only 13 and in junior high, he involved her in the conversation. He asked her questions and educated her on what she needed. He didn't just ignore her because she's a kid. I sure hope I won't be back here again, buying an expensive setup, but I'd hope he's working there should I be in that situation again

Guy stated he had to wrap the tv up himself bc it wasn't ready. *red flag* - this does not sound like an excellent condition tv 3rd - went back to complain and speak with a manager now. She acted very friendly and gave a little refund back for the missing parts and a "free" 30 dollar gift card . And I say this bc it most definitely was NOT , free ! 4th!!!!- when unwrapping , I noticed some scratches/dents & when plugged in , whole thing was broken. Trash asf! 5th!!!!!- went to exchange it at a closer loc and was told I had to pay the difference for the new condition priced tv. decided to return it and this is when I realized I was scammed out of that $30 "free" GC. My original amount paid , and refunds, do not match the original price I paid. I am short $30. & the gas used !
