Carol and John's Comic Book Shop…read more I don't think anyone would argue that this shop is a prime example of everyone's favorite friendly-neighborhood comic shop. John and crew make this shop accessible to all ages. They have their layout dialed in, their social media dialed in, their special events dialed in and exciting and their books and pricing dialed in so all collectors can enjoy. New books weekly with some cool Facebook intros. A stellar shop cat, Winston, who actually runs things. ( it's a his shop and he actually let's us all enjoy it.) Their back issues are on sale, they have some neat manga titles and families will like the kid's area. They have supplies and probably the largest dual wall of Graphic Novels in Northeast Ohio. They don't give ya crap for used ones and to buy them (used) is a ripoff too. Ebay for that or even the Exchange across the street is cheaper. Only time I would sell games here if I robbed them from someone and didn't care about how much I got or if I was on a pcp binge and needed a quick buck...

But for the most part, you know…read morewhat to expect when it comes to GS: - No pushy or overly sales-y tactics - Great deals on pre-owned, quality tested games - Knowledgeable staff always willing to help or answer questions I've had a bunch of experiences at this particular GameStop and some others just to poach Nintendo 3DS StreetPass friends. (Don't judge! I buy things, too!) But my latest experience at the Lakewood GS was extra-extra special. Why? Well, my guy pre-ordered us the new 3DS from this location. I'll give you a second to let the excitement sink in... My very first release day experience (with a line!) was made extra perfect mostly because of my savvy boyfriend's planning, but also because this GameStop location was extra helpful. We had no snafus during the pre-order or trade-in process, which could have been pretty messy. And many folks who came as early as we did were turned away without copies of Majora's Mask or Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate because they didn't pre-order like we did. Beyond this experience, I really can't think of another time when the staff here wasn't ready to help with questions or advice. The only reason why this location doesn't get a 5th star isn't exactly fair, but it's the truth... that parking lot is the WORST PLACE ON THE PLANET. It almost makes you want to drive out of your way to go to another GameStop. I'm not sure why this parking lot is so difficult for the residents of Lakewood to figure out... But it is consistently a collection of the worst drivers on the face of the planet. Don't believe me? Try it. I guarantee you'll want to rip your own face off within two minutes of trying to park in that beast. Or it will just make you loath mankind.
