Just went into this GameStop to get my pokemon cards graded for the first time and had a great experience. We were helped by Leia, who was very knowledgeable about grading cards and was kind enough to teach us the process. Although it does cost a little bit to grade cards, the overall process was pretty quick and easy. The store itself was super clean, all the staff were very kind, and the selection was good. Today I went into the store because they had a specific item that I wanted. A gentleman over the phone was nice, answered any questions I had and held my item. When I arrived I told the woman named London (738458) that I had 5 trade-in's as the gentleman said it was ok to do. Almost immediately she starts raising her voice and saying that I can't stack. I told her that I was aware and was going to make 5 separate transactions. I brought my boyfriend and 3 children. With the same tone she continued to talk down to me and says that she doesn't take toys but the posters were ok. Again she proceeds to tell me that I can't stack and that it's 18 and over only that can trade, no children. The gentleman that I spoke to earlier apologizes to me for his mistake and I understood. As I continued to ask her questions to make sure I understood how trade ins work she continued to raise her voice, almost yelling. My anxiety started kicking in and asked her to stop talking to me in that manner, I was simply asking questions to better understand. I requested the gentleman to help me and she said, "no, I'm the manager and he's in training!" I had to ask her a total of two times to stop raising her voice at me for her to stop. On the inside I was on the verge of wanting to cry. I pretended like what she did didn't bother me just so I can get items as they were gifts. I was embarrassed with the treatment, especially in front of my family. My two boys only aged 9 and 11. Please change this behavior of hers. Negative attitude like that will be the downfall of the rest of the GameStop stores. I recently renewed my membership and would hate for that to happen. I called the store a couple of times 3 separate days, and all three days, nobody picked up the phone. On the third day, I called 10times to cancel an order and still no answer. I thought it was time for me to upgrade from PS4 to PS5 and decided to trade in my PS3, some accessories, and a boatload of video games that I wasn't playing anymore. I presented Khristian with my arduous task of going through the games and checking my PS3 console while helping other customers when he could. I think he was the only one working there as a line formed almost to the door by the time he was finished. I bought the wrong version of a game on accident and once I opened it and realized it was not the game I wanted I returned to the store to exchange it. They said they couldn't give me an exchange or a refund because I had opened it even though it had been 20 minutes. This store is an absolute disgrace to GameStop. They can't even figure out how to pick up a phone for over an hour (believe me they are not that busy). DISGUSTING!! Prior to leaving the store, I examined the pre-owned PS4 game disc that I purchased via online but it had multiple finger prints on it. So I asked the temp store manager Alex if it was Gamestop's responsibility to clean the pre owned discs before selling it to another customer and if it is, I asked him to clean it for me. He then brought out an old dirty fabric towel and started rubbing the disc and it immediately made it much worse than just having finger prints. He also explained that he uses the same old dirty towel to clean all pre-owned discs in the store. I told him its really disgusting and unsanitary using a dirty towel purposefully to clean their pre-owned discs and asked him to dispose the dirty towel due to health concerns. Instead of complying to my request, he gave me an attitude and denied to throw away the dirty towel and asked me to leave the store. Basically, I left the store and called the corporate and filed a complaint. I hope Alex listens and does his job by making sure that the pre-owned discs are inspected and properly cleaned before selling it to a new customer. read more

Did not enjoy the customer service got there early today they weren't open at 12 I went in after and thought they got a new shipment for cards but instead was treated with the worker calling me a scalper and assuming I was being there to buy him out or something. Drive too fast on Harbor Blvd., and you'll miss this tiny story. It's located next door to Newport Rib Co (delicious brisket!) but in a tiny little compact parking lot. I think you can probably drive a little further and park in the main mall, but I found a compact spot in front of GameStop. Like most GameStop the store is neat, clean and the staff can be hit or miss. Today was a hit. The ladies were friendly and helpful, and the Funko Toys they had were stacked orderly. Too orderly as I had problems going through them without toppling some over. They'll order or find toys you're looking for. I give 3 stars only because the employees are helpful and give great costumer service but their boss is horrible and yells at them making it uncomfortable for the costumers and does not honor there warranty it correctly. When i bought the warranty they let me know if i had a issue with either the controller or cable i can come in to switch it out and they wanted to charge me for a new one and the boss said he had to be here in order for me to switch it out then. Had an item on hold through the website. Received the confirmation email. But coincidentally got a voicemail saying that the hard to find collectible that I ordered was *sold to another customer*. Not they didn't have it in stock. They had it. They sent the confirmation that it was on hold. The store staff still sold it to another customer. They just called me to tell me not to come in. I called the store and the guy I spoke to, Jose, couldn't comprehend why that was a problem. Worse yet, he was completely unapologetic and told me there was no manager on site, the person that sold my item wasn't there, and worst of all he provided me with incorrect information on other stores that would have it in stock, further wasting my time. read more

They got games, what more could you ask for? I have never had an issue coming to this GameStop. Not too many 8 year olds running around the store here unsupervised. The associates are typically very knowledgeable of the current and upcoming line-up (although they are in the process of removing the giant billboard with the upcoming release dates, not too happy about that). Making pre-orders and picking them up here is simple; come to think of it I have three copies of Hunted: The Demon's Forge to pick up today and know that I will be in and out in a breeze. To trade in a game you need to provide Drivers License, a thumbprint and other BS to get minimal $ for perfect games with all paperwork and perfect unscratched cases. I used to love coming to this gamestop. But ever since the old manager, anthony left, it has been a chore to come here. When anthony was manager every employee was helpful and thoughtful, especially anthony. Now most of the employees ignore you, and always seem to be in a bad mood. I decided to write this review specially because of an experience I had about 30 minutes ago. I walked in, and the only employee there looked up, saw me, and just went back to doing something behind the counter. I walked up the counter, and he just kinda stared at me. I asked if I could trade in a couple of games, something I have done multiple times at that location. He just said "do you have id?" I responded with a yes, and reached to grab my wallet. He asked me how old I was, and I told him I was 17. He told me that I was not allowed to trade in games if I was under 18, something I have done MULTIPLE TIMES, since I was 16. Unless gamestop changed a rule (which he could have just told me), he just stared at me again. Compared to about 4 months ago, I would walk in and be greeted by an employee, asked if I needed help with anything, and even start small talk. It's clear that this gamestop does not care about its customers. I would go down the street to the gamestop by target, as this gamestop will never get my business again. read more
