I lost my iPhone at the gym. So I came in to get a phone I bought elsewhere to add to my previous line at Verizon. Carmen came to help me and I ended up leaving with a New iPhone Air. Carmen literally made my day not only with my new phone and new internet but her customer service, kindness, professionalism and empathy. I literally had a smile on my face for the rest of the day! I appreciate when a person works hard at making things happen even when they are facing difficulties. I highly recommend this store. Mom and I came to this location to get her new phone activated. The only available associate at the time was Chris. I explained that we needed to get the new phone activated and so we could return the other one. He began looking into the account and said this can't we returned (referring to the new case cover I had also brought in) in which I replied I am not here to return any accessories I'm here to activate this new phone so I can mail in the old one back. He then proceeds to say oh there's an activation fee to do that if you're not in the account. Never even cared to ask for my mom's ID to even check himself. I could tell from his vibe he did not want to help us so we left another location on harbor st. At that other location they were very welcoming and the associate there was very helpful in confirming that mom was associated with the account and no need to pay for an activation fee. I finally decided to breakup with my cell provider after several years of grueling & unreliable service. Verizon was recommended by a handful of friends that said they were very pleased with their service. A new location was erected nearby my work so I decided to head over and see what options they had. The store is located on the first floor of a two story building in a small shopping center on the corner of MacArthur & Bristol. When I stepped inside, it looked clean modern and well appointed with accessory displays throughout. The associate was working with someone so I waited for about 10min or so. When she came over she apologized for the wait and I began to discuss cell phone plans. She offered some great plans which included internet as well! So not only was I breaking up with AT&T, I was breaking up with Spectrum, too! They offered a sweet discount on the iPhone 17 Pro Max, so I went with that. About 20min later, I had a shiny new iPhone and sparkling new cell service & internet to boot. I'm still working out some of the kinks of having new service on a new phone but all of that is par for the course. Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience and I'm hoping it will the start of a long & happy relationship. read more

I've been a Verizon customer for 11 years, and this store is the first time I've ever considered leaving. The associate who helped me with my phone upgrade chose an address that is not even associated with the primary one on my account and never confirmed it with me. The phone ended up delivered to the wrong location, got sent back to their warehouse. I spent weeks dealing with Verizon support getting nowhere. I ended up having to come back to this store a whole month later in person to sort it out. The representative who assisted me this time had a dismissive attitude and I've never encountered this with Verizon customer service. She also said that the associates are just "here to make sales" after I asked questions regarding my concerns. The lack of care, accountability, and professionalism here is unacceptable. The best customer service is when you don't need to explain profusely and shouting from the top of your lungs for a solution. I had 3 issues (billing, tech and adding a promotion). After 10 minutes of chatting, Josh M, assistant manager, helped me to reset my tech issue to get in my Verizon app and after reviewing my bill, he switched me to an updated plan that reduced our billing. He then asked Jeremy S to help with setting up Netflix/Max promo w/ Verizon. While doing all this, we all enjoyed a nice, fun and funny conversation among the 3 of us. I can honestly say I have had the worst experience with verizon in general but, this store has been extremely helpful and kind. Verizon lost my phone in transit (long story short) and my phone bill was high because they have been wanting for me to pay the amount of the phone which has since been found 5 days ago. I got an email stating it was scanned in and credited to my acct. Fast forward - everyday since 12/23 my phone has been shut off causing me to go in circles for 3-4 hours daily on the phone with random verizon employees in order to get it reconnected. Anyways, Monica the store employee at this location and the manager Joshua were extremely helpful and could see my documented acct as well as emails sent to me from verizon directly. Joshua spoke to financial services and they too gave him the run around but he told me to return today since Jan 1 was a holiday so that he and his team could further help me. My service has since been turned on and they truly were helpful. I cant say that I am happy with verizon but this manager and his employee went the extra mile to give top tier quality customer service. Thanks Joshua and Monica! Went into this branch wanting to buy a new iPhone but had a few questions about trade-ins and fees. There were about 3-4 Verizon employees and one other customer. I started to ask my questions and the employee was dismissive and very short with his responses. He was also very vague with price breakdowns. I felt that I was annoying him with my questions so I ended up leaving. I decided to go the Apple Store instead. I received $70 less for my trade-in but their customer service was superior. Needed to upgrade my phone and I didn't want to do it online since I ask a million and one question. I booked an appointment the next day. I arrived and was greeted right away even though both guys were with customers. I wasn't with someone until 10min past my appointment time. Bernice was great. She answered all of my questions and didn't seem phased when I asked if she could look up various models to compare ship dates or explain the whole payment thing. She was also very responsive to other customers when they walked in, making sure to check them in while she was waiting for my phone to receive a code or something else. I did not see her other coworkers do this nor did they do that with me when I walked in. Pretty sure she's superior with multitasking than her coworkers. The store did get busy while I was there. It seemed that a lot of people were coming after work hours. If you plan on doing the same, I would expect a 30 min wait. read more

Went into the store to pick up my phone and Omar helped me out. I asked how to return my phone on 4/22. He said I can turn it into him to get my credit. When he gave me the paper it said $80 when my credit was supposed to be $900. I told him and he said it doesn't matter the price it's just for tracking. I really wanted to stay with Verizon Wireless as my carrier, but every time I have tried to stop by this store to get a few questions answered I am dismissed very rudely. I fully understand due to COVID there are some restrictions in place, and so appointments are needed, however if I am required to do all of the shopping online and can't talk to a human being, what is the use of having the store? We had an appointment last week 19-Nov-20. Upon arrival, we were turned away as we had not completed the plan renewal online. We had SO many questions about the new plans, new phones, 5G, etc. When we tried to ask the questions the gentleman at the door interrupted us and told us to just shop online. We left, looked up alternate options and decided to cancel our Verizon plan once and for all. If you are considering getting an alternate carrier, I encourage you to go elsewhere. I personally switched to T Mobile and have had no change in service since my change, and received the BEST customer service. Goodbye Verizon... I was already home so I went back to Verizon and realized the store was already closed. I sat outside Verizon to chat with an agent since I was connected to wifi. I walked in- no greeting nothing looked around lost.. said.."hello?.. is there a line..? or... what?" guy comes around with a tablet and puts my name down wait was definitely LONG compard to normal (not sure exactly but definitely longer than the other stores) was helped by a lady, who wasn't the nicest in the beginning but got nicer as we talked, and she definitely got more helpful as time went on so I appreciate that. I usually go to the tustin stoer in the district and the staff there is AWESOME, nicer, and quicker to respond. read more

The guy we spoke to on the phone was nice enough, knew what needed to be done, and also arranged for a time to meet. We figured we'd be in and out in about 10-15 minutes and I'd have a shiny new iPhone 5s. But alas, it all went south as soon as we walked in. Michael, our rep, looked up the plan and was confused about what we wanted. Hey, we just spoke to you earlier today. How are you now confused? Then he just stood there for 10 minutes determined to be right about whatever what going on in his head but then decided customer is always right. Um, yeah. If the customer wants something and you're getting a commission, just shut up and do it. Why are you questioning anything??? Then he said we couldn't do what we wanted to do. Do you not want to get paid or something? Instead of figuring out whatever the issue was, he just looked us point blank in the face and waited for us to make a move. Ugh. An hour later, after a manager stepped in, and we got everything cleared up - I got my phone, we changed the plan around, and left for a late dinner. Wtf? It shouldn't be this hard to upgrade and get a phone. Just do what the customer wants and everyone will be happier in the end. read more

Small location means small staff which means long lines. If you're not able to get in right as they open, or on a random weekday, have fun spending twice as long as you planned inside the store just waiting for someone to help you out. I know people complain about service for all cell providers so this is not a knock on Verizon but just on this particular branch. I really wish it was a larger store where they could handle the amount of volume of customers that a cell company would bring in. The employees here are all very friendly and have always been a great help, but I just can't stand spending so long waiting around just to get to that great help. read more

NO STARS- Not specific to this location but Verizon as a whole after 25 years with them- THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE SCAM WHO HAS OWED ME $1400. For 90days since issue resolved. I'm always told the refund has been processed & mailed for MONTHS!! Today again told it was finally mailed again and will take 3 weeks to receive!! This refund was approved March 2021!! It took 3hr waits and holds, multiple times and calls- it's July 7th- there is no check received. After countless calls they say they have the wrong address!! All of the depts do not communicate effectively and they will take your money and without any concern how their fraud & incorrect billing may effect you, answer sarcastic and use the line "it's out of my hands." Or, "that's not accessible to my dept!" This company is first rate BS! Expensive service where no one I know ever has paid the HIGH, UNAUTHORIZED bills that I receive. Don't go to this location! The worse customer service. It's hard enough to get an appoint now that there is no walk-in but even during appointment they don't seem to provide good service. All I wanted was to get a new SIM card for my phone. The tattooed guy just gave me the card and told me to put it on myself. To start, I don't even have anything to open the sim holder. Once I got home, I tried to swap the sim and it doesn't even work. He didn't put it in for me to see if it works. I've been to a Long Beach branch before to replace my sim and the rep helped me put sim and did some configuration test to ensure SIM works. This guy did nothing! He just wants to rush back in the store and lock up and do nothing. Waste of time. read more
