It's almost a warehouse of used books. In the middle of summer, this place gets hot as there's no ac or air circulation. Browsing title after title while drenched in sweat gets a bit too much, so I didn't stay in as long as I had hoped to. This book shop has a bit of everything but mostly religion, gardening, and education books. We didn't find Stephen King or other authors we enjoy but I did find some Marvel comics and a Far Side comic for $3 each...not a bad deal at all considering the Thor comics were in mint condition. Overall, this is a good used book store that may have something for you that you wouldn't have expected. Just go when the weather is cooler a d you'll have an enjoyable time.

I requested the price of a sealed booster box. These are roughly 100 dollars at every store and online. Again, he told me it was 100 dollars after the discount was applied. Either he was being deceitful, or they charge 170 dollars a box. Both of which are not okay. It does not matter, I will not return.

There are two problems with this location…read more First, the bathrooms have no ventilation and no attempts are made to cover/fight smells. If someone uses the bathroom and doesn't flush right away the horrid smell suffuses the room in a stomach churning smell that frequently drifts out into the hall. Sometimes you can smell the bathrooms 10 feet away. It's always been like this and it's inexplicable to me why they haven't done anything about it. The second problem is in the cafe. In our society where everything is driven by things they need to be plugged in, it's a mystery to me why there are are no plugs in the cafe. I think each side has one two plug setup and that is it. I'm really surprised they haven't just done a refresh on the whole area as it looks very run down and ratty. It would be a good excuse to add in the outlets and charging stations.

Pricing varies, assuming based on amount of specific items in inventory, rarity, and condition. The staff was friendly, and welcoming, asking if there were specific items I was looking for. Great spot to have in town, but potentially financially dangerous for music lovers out there! Though it was my first time, I'm certain it won't be my last. After having been selected as number 4 of Yelp's Top 50 most prolific Elites of 2025, a year when I also was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Photographer of the Year Award at their Yelpies 2025 Award Ceremony, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, and where last year I was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Yelper of the Year Award, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and businesses, and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. Parts Unknown The Comic Book Store in Greensboro, North Carolina is a perfect example. I immediately found a side street parking space and parked my pearl white Lexus there and walked over to the store. It was a pleasant walk and the building where the store was located had an interesting graffiti on the outside, side wall. Inside I was greeted by a friendly and very knowledgeable employee who has also been a good friend of the owner for years. He told me how the owner John Hitchcock had owned and operated this business for over 36 years with around 25 years in this location and how the business originally opened up in Cotton Mill Square in 1989. How Hitchcock had always had a passion for comic books and started collecting them when he was 10. He started selling comic books in a store downtown 37 years ago and this led to his opening his own store. Hitchcock's favorite comic book creator was Alex Toth, an artist who had been well known for his expressive line and masterful storytelling. Hitchcock and him had been friends and collaborated on a book called Dear John: The Alex Toth Doodle Book. He showed me a copy of the book that was being sold there. The store had an inviting atmosphere and as I walked through the store it was like entering another world. The uniqueness of this comic book shop was that it exclusively specializes in comic books and books about comic books. It had in its inventory some rare and expensive ones like The Invincible Iron Man selling for $2,000, a Green Lantern one selling for $1,500, and a Special 25th Anniversary Issue of the Amazing Spiderman selling for $1,200, among other well known and rare ones in excellent condition. College students enjoy visiting the store because it's like a live history museum of comic books and also carries many of the current looked-after ones. And the store brings back happy memories to old timers and makes valuable merchandise accessible to comic book collectors of all ages. I highly recommend it if ever your in the area. To me it was an extraordinary and exhilarating experience.
