I walked up to the shortest line and the cashier (Asian lady) informed me (Black lady) she could not check me out because she was pulling from the back of the line. No problem, I proceeded to wait in line. Other customers new to the check out line were also walking up to her register for check out not knowing the unique process. Immediately after me, she decided to ring up a (White lady) who did not have to wait in line AT ALL! Granted she only had one item, so did I. Hobby Lobby already has a BAD rapport with racism but this was the final straw. I did not feel valued as a customer or respected as a person. As someone who crafts and decorates for a living, I vow to never shop Hobby Lobby again. I will refer my clients, friends and family to shop elsewhere as well.

Hobby Lobby always has something for me to purchase. I went in on September 5th looking for these particular glass light bulbs but they have discontinued the large ones. I was a little disappointed but I still found some cool PAC-MAN socks for my son. Most checkouts you can enter your loyalty number and start scanning. I feel tech-savvy but the self-checkout was just confusing. It's not clear which ones are open. You can't see the checkout situation until you're next in line to checkout. At one point the lone cashier started scolding the CUSTOMERS for not using self-checkout and told US the line was so long it didn't make sense and WE had to do something about it. Excuse me? I don't work here, find someone who DOES to do something about this long line. How about order online and have it delivered? Or better yet... just order from anywhere online.

They have the kind of customer service I appreciate -- where someone actually walks you to what you're looking for instead of just pointing in a general direction and disappearing. That said, the front desk and self-checkout area are another story. I stood at the self-checkout for a solid five minutes waiting for anyone to come by and help with a screen issue so I could remove an item. No one ever came, so I eventually gave up and checked out at another register. Overall, it's a nice store with good selection and solid staff, but I'll be honest -- next time I come, I'll be coming for the sales, not the sticker prices. This store is more like places you'd find in west midtown. I was trying to find a leather rapid 2 pc. rivet to repair one of my favorite custom made purse/backpack. I scowered hardware stores and craft stores without success and finally found it here! The best thing about this store is incredibly helpful and friendly staff. They helped me fix the rivet at no cost... mind you this is NOT a repair shop. I wasn't going to risk it by taking it to ubiquitous unskilled so called cobblers. These guys are just very kind people who go way beyond a normal retail - my std is Nordy's as I was raised on it. Their leather prices are reasonable, in fact, I saw whole pieces you often see at the furniture stores for rugs for a fraction what they charge. You do need to buy whole pices. This place is about same size as Michael's and has nice open, clean warehouse ambiance. It's nicely organized with hanging leather on the right, laid out leather on platforms in the middle and accessories on the left. Front of the store has books/patterns, workshop area and check out and....a clearance table. They currently have certain suade pieces on clearance that I was so tempted. They have 3 tiered pricing: retail, membership ($35/yr) and whole sale. So it's open to both the trade and retail and if you buy a lot, you can save some mullah. It's a fabulous find instead of having to go to ADAC. They also have classes / work shops for nominal prices to cover their material costs. Upcoming ones are suade glove making ($25) and purse construction. I'm so STOKED - Ihave all these cool design ideas that may soon be realized. This Tandy Leather though it's in Lithia Springs / Austell, is definitely a keeper. There's a sister store in Norcross.

I really didn't expect much. However, I left my items and they gave me a receipt, and promised to text me when the evaluation was done. My ID was checked many times So they did text me. Since I wanted cash and no store credit I earned $1.97 instead of $3.54. What I learned from this is, that bartering might work for some people, if they are trading in things. This is not for me. I sold over 3 bins of items to them. Not only did they not state how long it would take but the girl checking me just to the buying was not very kind. She seemed annoyed to be there. Both me and my family member dropped off our items 6 minutes after they opened and made plans to do things in the area thinking it wouldn't take long. We were in the area for a good while and my family member received a text that their items were ready. I believed that mine would soon be done to follow. A few more hours passed and I still didn't get a text so I called in to check. I was extremely disappointed when I was told that my buy hadn't been started. They stated it was because they were busy. Although, when I questioned if they were busy how were they able to finish my family members buy so quickly. They didn't have a response for me other than they had other buys from the day before that they had to finish. I still don't understand how my family members stuff still got finished if that was the reason. When I asked how much longer it would take they couldn't give me an answer. I do not live close so this was extremely upsetting for me because if they had a lot left over from the day before it should've been stated when I dropped it off. About two hours before closing I got my text so I had to drive and pick up my stuff. Once I arrived I was told I was getting a very small amount for items that were in brand new condition or to get 50% more value if I chose store credit. I really wish they updated their system and valued the items at a higher price point and not such a drastic change from cash to store credit. I only came here and settled for the cash because I am clearing up space for a move. If you want what your items are valued don't ever come here.
