So two days later I called four times at various points in the morning and got no answer. Then later that evening, I was told that the framing was finished. When I picked up the picture, it was not centered in the frame. Probably 1/4 of an inch tilted at an angle. Just enough to bother you when you look at the picture. The framing department could improve with communication and take better care to ensure that custom framing projects are accurately centered in the frame. I had to have it reframed at Chico Paper Co. I hope that this is not a common experience, it's possible that I just fell through the cracks, but something can be learned from this for both the potential customer and the store. And you also get what you pay for. Bargain framing isn't always a bargain.

Being that it was not a full piece of laminate, one would think that it was obvious that the board was not new, nor do they sell single pieces of halved laminate. Two days later in Garden, I purchased a plant on a trellis for 69.95. He asked me if the trellis was included in the price, I told him it was.Because the fact that the plant was wired to the trellis in the pot. I paid for my purchase. As I was leaving, he stops me by the door, to scan a different label on the trellis to double check with the scanner. I was in retail back in the day, and when you started a job back then, they hgave you some idea of the products that were sold. The scenery and atmosphere in the café are very calm and soothing. Excellent lighting too, making for a great reading area. And now the rest of the store. The selection of books and magazines is impressive at this store. I love going down the aisles, taking books off the shelves and sampling them a little before making a decision. There are chairs out in case you want to sit and read for a while. It's wonderful that Barnes & Noble is still around, because I just love book stores. In our digital age, they sadly are practically becoming extinct. On to service, I have yet to have a bad experience with employees at this location. For value I'd say the prices aren't bad. They often have sales going on.

Shortly after, I called to inquire about hosting his birthday. I was told they were just starting the planning phase of hosting birthday parties and I would get a call back. My son was over the moon excited when we got the call back from Shaun to book the party. Come to find out we were the first birthday party they hosted and it was down right the best birthday party ever! Much to our surprise Shaun made custom personalized stickers and a giant banner for my son (that we even got to take home). They had the party area reserved for us to decorate with our party decor as soon as we arrived. They had all the cars charged up and ready to go right on time for all the guest to use upon arrival. Shaun and his team gave great instructions and after everyone getting to test out the cars for a bit Shaun got over the loud speaker and announced a couple races, personalizing it just for our son. After about an hour of racing we braked for pizza and doughnuts (my son's preference over cake) while Shaun and his team charged up the cars for the second wave of racing. We had all ages of racers for the party from as young as age 8 all the way up to age 85 and let me tell you, this is so much fun for anyone at any age! When I first arrived I had certain coworkers who worked there complain to me about her mean girl tendencies and gossip/drama ways. I've heard she made people quit and never gave recognition so on. Within my first month working there I had to call off twice. The 2nd time being because of my family member passing away. She never gave me her condolences and she lectured me over the phone. She cut my hours from 35 -22/18 .I showed her records of medical issues because it activated due to the stress of losing my cousin and my hours. I was struggling mentally , emotionally and physically I told her I was losing motivation and asked for more hours. I was a key holder at my lost job yet she promoted/ hired /4-5 new key holders some with no experience at all. I reached out the DM about her behavior. She would avoid me and not speak with me. I've been trying to find a new job since march. And luckily I found a new one. I asked her if I could still work at least 3 days . She only put me for 2 days. Which passive aggressive I decided to walk out. She is not fit to be a manager. She is Immature and Insensitive. Karma always comes back around. Goodbye DG.
