Lady that was at the counter today March 18th at 1:20 pm was horribly rude when I came to the counter and commented to my friend that the prices of Pokémon were a little high but I was still willing to pay for it. With her nasty attitude she rolled her eyes and angrily told me that she "loves to hear that every day" if you can't handle it then quit. I will never come back to that game stop and she needs to reevaluate how to talk and speak with customers because no one will buy if they feel their sales associate don't value their customers. Horrible attitude, nasty tone, needs a reality check. read more

This is one of the many locations I tried to patronize this weekend in search of some gifts and, like many other Gamestops in the area, it was inexplicably closed when I arrived Saturday. I included the photo of the sign I found on the door stating there were "unforeseen circumstances" but it is still so off-putting. Since this specific location said they would be open Sunday, I returned and to their credit they were, however I didn't find anything I was particularly in at this location and I would highly recommend the store on McCarren for your Gamestop needs. Daniel was so awesome. We had problems with an online order. The CSR was unhelpful. So I went to the store. Problem : we live 3 hours away from Reno, the closest store. Instead of saying sorry can't help you, come back another time, he was so kind and understanding about our situation. He spent the time it took to check in with his manager to resolve our issue. While this company may be a combination of a toy store and pawn shop that takes advantage of children, this 5 star review is for Robert, an employee who works at this store. While I was literally thinking of never doing business with GameStop ever again, Robert was able to give me hope and demonstrate that although GameStop is a corrupt business that doesn't deserve any of our money, there are still some good people that work there. The problem that occurred was not Robert's fault, and completely out of his control, but he handled the issue with some of the best customer service I've seen to date, especially for GameStop. Am I a gamer? Nope. Never have been. Every year or so I find a game that I want to play. I purchase it and it tends to last me at least a year. A few hours every month and by the time the year ends i'm ready for a new one. This was my first trip to a Gamestop... ever. It was multi purpose. I needed a birthday gift card for an actual gamer and I needed the latest installment of the Assassin's Creed series to keep me occupied for another year. The employee working was busy with another couple when we walked in. That was perfect as it gave me time to look around and get my bearings. I found the game I was looking for pretty quickly as well as a gift card. When she finished with the other customers, the employee rang me up and asked me if I had a 'power up' card. I told her I don't shop here often enough to merit that but asked if I could give her the phone number of a friend who frequently buys games. She was gracious enough to add the points to his card. If I need a game in the future, or game related goodies, I would make this my first stop. The selection, service and quality were all exactly what I needed. read more

I've been going to GameStop since I was 13 I move nearby never had a problem with this GameStop. recently there was a gold rush Xbox One X Battlefield V Edition. I called and asked if I can pre-order he said yes I can. I live an I live an hour + away. I get there I wait in line patiently I get to the counter and ask him if I can pre-order the special edition console. well they can't find this the SKU code to set up a pre-order that's fine, I sat in line for almost a half hour I asked if they want me to come back later she said no. so I hang out for 15 minutes go by and I mention how I'll come back later I had shopping to do. and she says no it's no problem, and under her breath she says I can't help an imbeciles. I sat in line for almost an hour being patient asking if they want me to come back later and I get called an imbecile. I will never go back to GameStop especially at this location ever I've never been treated with such little respect, and insulted by the supervisor. I will never go to GameStop again, ever! read more

This was the only gamestop i would go to in the Reno NV area. Store manager Marvin and his crew were the best!! Launch parties and really made you feel like it was a family not just a retail chain. With the departure of Marvin and his crew its just another game outlet. New area manager has no idea how to make a shopping experience personal or engaging, its a real shame to see this areas Gamestops faltering as they are. This marks the end of my business with Gamestop already cancelledmy cards and tossed them out. Ill just preorder online or through another business. Ten years ago I was a "gamer". XBox 360 and 25 games, headset, XBox live account, etc. Now i'm in my mid 40s and out of touch to put it lightly. With the weather getting nasty and cold, I wanted a way to work out indoors w/o joining a gym. Decided to purchase a Nintendo Wii U and needed assistance pointing me in the correct direction. Enter Amanda. She was extremely helpful in pointing out the games that would accomplish my needs, explaining the different controllers, and even their rewards program. I love going here for games and other info for games. I like that the staff likes to talk to their customers about the different games that they are buying or the different things that they are buying for their games. I went there for a book about Sims3 for Wii, and one of the guys asked me if it was good. I told him it was better than on a computer screen because you can see more on the tv screen. I believe that the Game Stop people are very knoweable in what they do each and every day. read more

As far as Gamestops in town, this one seems to always have a weak selection of used games (mainly 360 ones). Used equipment seems to be pretty "well loved" pieces. Not bad if you are looking to pick up new releases or if it's close to you, but I feel there are other Gamestops in town that have a bit better selection read more

I frequent different gamestops regularly and sometimes I get good service and other times it is poor. I went to this location on Oct. 7 for a birthday present around 6 pm. The cute young lady working the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the questions I asked. She deserves a raise. Some of the gamestop employees are mediocre or downright rude and passive. I appreciate good opinions and friendly interaction. read more
