I've been a lifelong video game enthusiast and I remember coming to GameStop formerly known as Funcoland as a kid. I've had great memories through the years. And there was a period where I completely disengaged from gaming and the Nintendo Switch brought me back. And I'm so glad that I've gotten back into gaming. Every time there's a new game release I always head over to this particular GameStop location. There's a guy by the name of Brett, working over there. And he's very kind, helpful and truly brings the excitement out again as I was as a young kid. I cannot describe how awesome the atmosphere is there and the fun nature of being around games and very nice and welcoming people. I would totally recommend this GameStop for anyone that's into gaming or just want to check out some cool stuff. I'm looking for a new Xbox controller which I know is scarce right now. I Tried calling at 12:15 earlier today, then I called again MULTIPLE TIMES from 3:40 to 4:52. They have not answered a SINGLE TIME AND CONTINUE TO IGNORE THE PHONE. I know they cannot answer the phone when it is busy but There is absolutely NO WAY they were busy the absolute entirety of the last hour and a half while also being soooooo floored at open. Pretty sure I got a faulty controller, I bought the series - 2 brand new, the controller has high ms, aiming on shooter games I have to change my whole tv setup and game settings just to hit ok shots, Literally missed a shot on a player standing still numerous times because this controller is jumpy so I'm gonna return it and try to get a better one. hopefully this helps out with any one who is a actual gamer, I've even tested the original controller that comes with my Xbox nd the aiming on it is smooth but with this one my aiming is all over the place, hopefully it's just a latency issue and I can just get a new one read more

It's a mixed bag when I go to this store. It's just the closest to my house. I had an issue before where they gave my son the wrong game and it was some other game that was rated M. I just let them know and they apologized and sent me a gift card code that didn't work. When I reached out they just never responded again. The manager now is cool and helpful but watch out for the short blonde. I've caught her twice throwing warranties on my purchases that I did not ask for. I made her back up and take them off. That is illegal and really aggressive. I suspect upper management is forcing everyone to make certain goals for add ons but pissing off the customer isn't how you do that. read more

Had to do 1 Star but I would rather do NO stars. There is this little asst. manager girl that works there that took her job too seriously. My boys visited the store with my mother their grandmother to purchase a game. Please note that I DO allow my son to play M rated games while I supervise that is my prerogative as a parent. The last game I purchased for him was the new COD just last month and it is in our membership log of transaction. Well today he wanted to buy another game that was M rated. She refused to sell the game to them because I was not present I even called the store to verify but besides the fact they were with an adult my mother why is this sale not doable? She claims she fears of losing her job if she sells the game with out me physically present. The boys ended up choosing another game and was on their way. She claimed she has to follow the laws and rules but she failed to ID when the credit card was being used cause she allowed them to use my credit card without me present. Didn't even ask for an ID. The point of this review is that Authority some people let it get to their head. Why are u being difficult. There was an Adult present and the log of games purchase has been M rated in the past. And if u gonna follow the rules and laws to the fullest .... well hunny you just broke one. Failing to check ID on a transaction with a credit card. read more

Very rude and unwelcoming staff. We were only browsing for a total of 5 minutes when the staff started speaking very loudly saying they hate when customers come in close to closing. Mind you, we were not there loitering until the last second of their store closing. We just wanted to take a quick peak at the games. I just went to trade in a game because I had no use of it anymore. The guy asked for my ID which was weird because they have never asked me for an ID at any other GameStop. I would understand if I looked like I was 13 or something but I am 18 and look that age. So I went to go get my mother bc I didn't have my ID with me and he asked her for her ID knowing damn well she looks older. And he was just plain rude, you could easily tell he didn't want people coming in to the store. read more

This location is in one word, booty! No legitimate customer service, and not really anyone working there who doesn't have an intent on screwing you around. Heaven forbid if you talk to the District Manager for this store, he'll feed you empty promises and never follow through. This location used to be eccentric and had a knowledgeable staff who would answer all your questions regardless of how many times they heard the same question from different customers. Now it's like walking into a 7/11.....BOOTY! Find the one in Oakridge Plaza, those people know what customer service is about. Know problems ever! read more

If I could give them zero I would this place was a disaster we went on a Saturday evening (two young men were working) or more like hanging out with the customers being a distraction. They were talking and laughing amongst themselves meanwhile 10+ people are sitting around waiting to simply be checked out. I found it hard not to scream at them but thought they were probably too high on whatever to care if I had exerted the effort. Gross. I'll go elsewhere to spend the 60$ required to purchase a game. I give them 2 stars Why? -I purchased a Naruto Ultimate Storm 3 Full Burst for 30 bucks by 08-09-2014. They said it was new and they used their own seal to seal the game. Game came without booklet. I tried to returned or trade for another game by 08-17-2014. They did not accepted refund. My only choice is trading the game for 13 bucks. This blew me out. You will have no benefit at all. Why? -The new game I buy from ebay by variety people still has its own seals with new wrap - I can sell this game through ebay for minimum 25 bucks as used game at the present time. I rarely shop at store but this was my first time and I would like to warn you guys to choose wisely before shop at gamestops. read more
