Terrible terrible terrible, super shady wouldn't give me my game I ordered for pickup. Scammed me and didn't get my game before my vacation.

I've been to this location twice, both Melissa and Lindsey were the only ones working and provided great customer service. The first time I came in they were dealing with a rude, inconsolable customer who was trying to return a gift card with no balance on it. I felt it's worth mentioning because these two maintained their professionalism when they could have easily asked this customer to leave the store. My second visit I came to buy a game, return an item and sell old games. As we all know, GameStop doesn't pay much for games. They offered me $3.50 for the two old games I brought in, I chose to keep them! Always an option for you who are offended that they don't pay enough for your old games that you don't even want anymore! (Or sell them online!) these two also went above and beyond to help me utilize a BOGO offer that I'd missed last time I came in, they didn't have to do that! In the end I've had great, quick experiences with the staff at this store and plan to stop in more often though I don't purchase many games anymore! read more

This game stop is the closest to my house and my last couple of experiences have been nightmares I went there and bought we sports resort only to open it three days later and find out the game disc wasn't working I couldn't even return it because I didn't buy an extra two dollar gizmo a couple of months later I went there to buy Subnautica and the guy gave me Subnautica below Zero which is the sequel to Subnautica and a different game double check everything at that store they gave you finicky games that don't work or the wrong games. go to a different place. read more

If I'm not at work or doing homework, I am most likely playing a video game. I usually try and avoid Gamestop because of their relentless and pushy preordering policy, but this day they had an awesome upgrade opportunity that I had to take advantage of. This is one of the better selection Gamestops in the Valley and I figured that I would have best luck here for what I wanted. I went in when there were no other customers and went right up to the counter. I lead off with what I was looking to do and advised that I wasn't going to want to preorder anything and that I didn't have any rewards, nor did I want any. The employee was cool about it and then processed my request. He then asked if I wanted to preorder. Three times. No. I get it might be something that he's required to do, but if I have lead off with it, one time is more than fine just to tell your boss that you did it. Everytime I said no, he gave me a cold look and asked if I was sure. I am very sure I know what I want, but thanks. Overall it was a painless experience for what I was wanting to do, and I know he was just doing his job, but there's no reason to be relentless about it. I'm not a huge gamer, per se. I have a Nintendo DS, the man of the house has a PS3. GameStop is cool because they have a huge selection of used games that are sometimes significantly cheaper than their new counterparts. You can buy a used game and bring it back within 7 days if you don't like it. How awesome is that? Customer service at this store is usually pretty good- I've found all of the employees to be very knowledgeable and they've always got something to recommend to us. I said "usually pretty good" because the store can get busy and I feel sometimes they are a bit under-staffed, where one or two employees are helping several people at once, whilst trying to ring people up and answer the phone. The PowerUp rewards card is cool- you acquire points with every purchase and can use those points toward discounts, merchandise, and gift cards. Their pricing is fairly competitive with big box retailers and even with sites like amazon.com. read more

The employees are the worst, the guy who first approached us approached 5 more times after we told him we were just browsing. As we checked out the cashier was singing, the whole experience was so annoying! We decided to trade in our Xbox at this location. We called 45 mins before closing to verify it was ok to bring in the equipment. Chris D. (Manager) said it was ok, as long as we bring it in before closing. When we arrived a few minutes before closing and started unpacking the equipment with another associate, Chris started giving us attitude. Saying the other associate was new and it would take too long; that they wouldn't be able to help us. We stated what I mentioned above and asked why he was giving us attitude. He was pouty. Long story short they ended up helping us. We told him if they were short on time, he should have stated that when we called earlier. *huge eye roll* side note, the new guy was awesomesauce. Came here to trade my PS4 for a PS4 slim and the entire transaction kaden k made me feel like a terrible person. I understand it's an annoying process but when you roll your eyes, constantly exaggerate sighs, and have no desire to help the customer it really makes people feel terrible when they're just trying to save some money survive as a broke college student. I am a big gamer and I like talking to folks that understand games. I love this GameStop because the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can also tell they want to be there and have always taken care of me. Great group of people and I've even met the Regional Manager who was super fun and easy to talk to. read more

I went to this gamestop and I got a used black ops game, and that disc didn't work properly. I went back later that night, and they gave me a different used disc of the same game, and that still didn't work properly! They said they gave me the best used disc they had to replace the previous used game disc they gave me earlier that very same day, and that still didn't work properly! I don't know if this place is all that reliable! Made me so pissed! read more

Quick shout out to Trevor at this location. My 9 year old has been searching for an item that he heard was going to be exclusive at Game Stop and Best Buy. Not wanting to drive out on one more errand, I suggested that my son call in advance.
