9/26/22 This Gamestop isn't to big. The selection of PS4 games is small, but so are the selection of PS5 games. Matter of fact, PS4's selection is bigger than the PS5 area. The PS5 launched in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. This happened on 12th November 2020. It arrived in the rest of the world (UK included) on 19th November 2020. Since the day it his stores, demand has outstripped supply. This is great and all, but after nearly two years, I thought there would be more games than what I was seeing. Many of the games ars upgrades with added content made for the PS5. Some games were made for PS5 and now are available for PS4. The associate working there was pleasant, but I did not understand everything he said. I certainly did try to understand him. I really appreciate how well he maintained the store and how organized it was too. I did want yo get something, but buying without a need isn't worth it. Another time then. read more

I've had decent experiences with this store before, but I was at a store near where I work and they called in(while on my lunch break) and placed a game on hold for me. They were unaware that this store allegedly has a 1 hour hold policy where most other stores I've been to/dealt with, have a day hold policy, especially for pro members. When I showed up, they said it was sold(I'd just recommended this game to another shopper who apparently purchased it). The customer rep, Sean, said, then proceed to inform me of their alleged policy. I will not be shopping here any more since if I place a game on hold at another store, then probability of me being able to pick it up within an hour, is very slim, especially for healthcare workers. Game Stop needs to work on correcting their unwritten policies as this was unexpected and inexcusable. I'm a long time gamer and now in my 50's...probably not the demographic of this store. I'm currently using Stadia and Xbox xCloud as I wait for the new PS5 to be widely available though I've tried multiple times to buy one online. This is my local location and it's OK. I found the service to be OK. I've both traded in and bought games. I've had issues with used games being damaged but exchanging was quick and painless. Gamestops are usually just OK, it's just par for course, unless I guess if you're a regular and know staff on a first name basis. I just don't game that much. I prefer to buy from online brands I know and trust with more consistent service. I do like the Gamestop in Dulles which I've found better than most. read more

After calling to verify if the store had a PS5 the store representative assured me they did. After driving all the way there they stated they never had one and no one at that store had said that. Hitting redial in front of them called their phone and they just kept saying they will have some on Black Friday. They value no one's time but their own. read more

If you're coming here to purchase a used gaming console (in my case, I wanted an Xbox that ran smoother than the original Xbox but nothing too fancy, so I purchased the Xbox one x), don't. The cashier knew his stuff but was awkward and a bit rude. He wasn't really clear on everything that came with my purchase. GameStop in general should be required to completely wipe and factory reset all used consoles. For me, this wasn't the case. I got home excitedly ready to download some games and apps, only to find out that there were still the old accounts on the Xbox and that the Xbox's system needed to be updated before I could factory reset it. All in all it's not a super big deal, it just makes everything go a little smoother if they had updated it and reset it beforehand. read more

This is the second GameStop I've been today. We moved recently, and somewhere along the lines I lost the power adapter for my Xbox 360 Slim. The first GameStop in Chantilly we went to had a bunch, but none compatible for the model I had. Living next to Dulles Town Center I decided to stop here on my way back. We asked an employee if they sold Xbox power supplies and he has no idea what I'm asking for. We try to clarify, and he suddenly just goes "NO! We don't sell those" and brushed me off, suggesting I go to Craig's List. Uhm, what? AT LEAST suggest checking GameStop's web site (where they DO sell them, though it's not the version I need) before sending somebody off to Craig's List. The guy was just completely unwilling to assist us. It's frustrating, especially after having just come from another GameStop where the employees were more than willing to help (even if they didn't have the right version I needed). read more

Ok I've been coming back to the store lately and I have to say the staff is much improved and there are actually some really good employees now that are very helpful to the customer. There are two employees in particular that I really like. However I do still see some of the bad employees sometimes when I go in there. Overall it depends on the time and day. Its definately an improvement from the last time I went there but there are still some poor employees in the mix with the really good ones. read more

Tried to sell me a used game, when I wanted a new one. On top of that this new one was not sealed, the disk was kept uncovered, claimed to be new. I get that they don't keep dvd's in the box on display, but hey you should keep sealed copies. How do I know you are not selling used ones for the price of new! When I objected, the sales person again suggested I buy a used one for $2 less!!! Kept repeating the same thing again about the security against theft... Pretty clear to me, if you cannot store sealed dvd separately, just man up and sell open ones at used rate. Whether its because its the very last piece or for whatever reason.... Apart from the smart-ass attitude, she had the gumption to say if you are nice to us, we will let you have a in store credit if this dvd doesn't work out .... Duh! Thats basic expectation of customer service I thought .... One star, because I can't give zero, mainly for the smart-ass attitude, being unreasonable, and thinking your customers are stupid with no place else to go! read more

I pre-ordered Star Wars Battlefront and kind of forgot the release date due to working nights. Well, I decided to stop by and behold they told me Gamestop is going for a personal experience and I should have been called. That's what they told me when I said I haven't received neither a text, or email. Yes my contact info is up to date. So I asked why didn't they call me..and he told me "We didn't want to because we didn't want to make 200+ phone calls. What do mean you don't...its your job...I pay for the Game informer to get these notifications and you "Didn't feel like it??" So for the first time I actually did the customer survey on the receipt. I applaud the manager who called me(not the store manager..like district or something). He wanted to make up for my bad experience (he saw from the stores just how much business I gave Gamestop) without giving away the store. I flat out refused and told him thankyou for contacting me and explained since I and everyone else who is paying for game informer are paying for customer service and your sorry employees are too lazy to do their job. I also told him I would not be renew my subscription and I will be making what purchases I can digital downloads for my PS4. I have finally said good bye to Gamestop...thanks to this lousy one at Dulles Mall. I'll just look for deals online for my older consoles. I like GameStop BUT DONT BUY USED GAMES! Because I got GTA V for PS3 and it didn't had any marks on it. I played it on my PS3 it worked half way in though the game it's KEEPS FROZEN EVERY TIME, i am never going to be used games EVER,only new ones read more
