I came in looking for funko pops and left with a very pleasant experience. I don't usually frequent this side of Tacoma, so naturally this isn't my usual GameStop but since I was in the area I decided to make a pit stop. Since the moment I came in I was greeted, I was asked if I needed any help and I was told about the promotions the store had by LaPorscha. LaPorscha went above and beyond in helping me find these 2 Pops I purchased. Both Funko Pops were not in display but LaPorscha mentioned she could look them up in the system. She went to the back, browsed around and found Silver Surfer, but Invisible Woman, man, she was truly invisible! The system said they had her in stock but she was nowhere to be found! But LaPorscha did not give up, she kept looking, heck, she even delayed her break to help me!! At the end of it all I left with exactly what I needed and wanted, and with the joy of a very satisfied customer! Prices were good, and they had a lot of deals and promotions. I did not do any trade ins, so I am unaware of their pricing for that, but my experience was great. Bought a game online through gamestop.com and issued a return. The website and confirmation email states to take it to ANY gamestop location, and the website clearly states corporate policy on returns, however the manager refused to accept the return because "corporate is wrong". I went to the one in Tacoma Mall afterwards and did the return just fine, so the person was lying. read more

should probably get better reps working here. Julian is quite possibly the WORST rep I've ever worked with at any GameStop. Lack of effort, the lack of knowledge. I will no longer be purchasing anything from this location or any GameStop in fact lol literally trying to give you money and not digitally download, but you can't even comprehend the app or help? I asked for help and he said I don't know how to use the app, Lies Anna and her rep that was TRAINING Personally helped me last time I came in to pre order games and buy other miscellaneous items. After today, I cancelled all of those, got my money back and will never be coming here again or even be giving GameStop my money again. Digital downloads (which give no attitude) here we come. I have regularly been coming to this GameStop for about 5 years. Very nice people. Soulja is the best! But tonight I was in there and an employee named Jordan do the whole speech about getting the pro membership to save money, which is true. But there was a guy and his girlfriend who came in to get Zelda Breathe of the Wild since it was for sale for $40 online. Not an online or pro member only sale. Jordan asked to see the online price, the guy showed her, she proceeded to let him know it would be $35 with the pro membership renewal, and the guy said sure. He then decided to say "Nevermind, I actually don't want the pro membership" and Jordan then tells him "Well the game is not $35 then, it's full price." The game is on sale, non-pro member specific and she denied the guy the game for the discount because he changed his mind and didn't do what she wanted. That is bad business and even worse morals. Just because they didn't get what you wanted, doesn't mean they don't deserve the deal every other non pro member gets. When me and my wife checked out, she was friendly to us at first, then I told her a game was cheaper online so we can price match, showed her, she discounted it. She then turned from very kind attitude to a very "here's the games, now get out" type of attitude. Ridiculous and kind of embarrassing to be honest. A great place. Friendly, courteous staff. They're professional but you feel like you can still have a conversation with them. They will help you find a game no matter what. They once called and ordered a game for me from way out of the city. They don't seem judgemental or snobby in any way. read more

Been in here a few times in the past few months because its the closest to my house but im just gonna drive to a different store from now on, they never have games in stock and usually redirect me to a different store. This is a week or so after release and literally every other store on the list they gave me is in stock of product. Dont go here for new games unless you preorder. read more
