I get that places need to make a profit but tripling the price from what's on the sticker is a little misleading because you're pretty much running a gamble if it's going to be cheaper online once he looks it up at the register. If he listed a game for $20 and then found it online for $5, would he lower the price? Yeah, I'm not holding my breath.

The brothers that run the shop have always been kind and I've had great offers for cards that I have brought to trade in. In addition to Pokemon, they have sealed Magic, Lorcana, and One Piece products for fair prices too. They have a wider variety of Pokemon singles displayed in binders, but upon my recent visit, I've noticed that they have expanded to One Piece and Disney singles as well. Aside from tcg, they also have older video games and consoles. I always enjoy my visit to Mero when I am in the area and love that hit of nostalgia when I stop by!

We didn't have any penny sleeves or toploaders so I needed to come back. The owner was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The prices for everything was also very competitive and reasonably priced. They also do grading services which I can't wait to bring my cards in to get graded! Overall the experience was great and I can't wait to come back here!

I paid up because I didn't want to leave empty handed, but just to give you an example, the same box I picked up later that week at Walmart for my kids and it was 25 -- point is that this was not even an in demand or rare product but I got scalped paying double here... WHY?!? I don't get how places stay in business charging this much, maybe there is some volume discount I'm not aware of? When I asked about the broader EDH community, the owner was dismissive and overly corrective. It felt closed-off rather than supportive, especially when he made it clear he doesn't promote anything beyond his own store. That approach doesn't work for me. I prefer spaces with a more open-minded, generous vibe, not a "there can be only one" mentality. As an old-school player, I value basic respect and being part of a positive, inclusive nerd community. I'll look elsewhere.

The prices can be ok to great depending on what promotions they have going on, but luckily a dedicated staff member will help you get what you want or want adjacent at a reasonable price!

Service is not what it was once was, sadly. But I am old so I remember the good ole' days with fondness. Today, it's basic enough. Thankfully, one doesn't get screamed at across the store of "Welcome!" as it happens in other businesses. Most employees I saw were behind the registers when I was looking around. I did see one employee on the floor, but she was laser focused on something. Prices are on the higher side, thanks to the current state of the economy. However, I feel that the books and other items are of good enough quality to somewhat warrant the $. Be sure to check out upstairs.
