I suck at directions without my beloved Google Maps. I almost need to use Google Maps to figure out directions for a circular route. Needing to pick up some gift bags and a birthday card from Dollar Tree, I thought I could travel to my usual Dollar Tree by memory alone. In short, I did not know where I was going. By the time I turned on my directions again, this Dollar Tree was the closest to me. Ending up at this Dollar Tree was one of the best accidental decisions I've made recently. This is the best Dollar Tree I've ever been to. The cashier was super friendly and greeted me when I entered the store. The store was very clean and well-stocked, and there was plenty of parking. Plus, the store wasn't too busy. I felt like I had ample room to wander the aisles. As long as I have my trusty phone with directions, I will be back! read more

GETTING HERE: This Dollar Tree is located in Ventura on Telegraph next to the Smart & Final EXTRA (the old Albertson's). It's in the same strip mall area as CVS and Two Trees. There's ample parking; usually not too much of a hassle to park. REVIEW: I love this Dollar Tree! Yes, the new name should be changed to "Dollar and a Quarter Tree", but alas. Such is life. I've frequented many over the years and this is my favorite hands down. It's common to see it pretty packed with customers waiting in line. But that's what you get when you shop now a days. This store is large and spacious and the aisles are spaced out. The staff have been nothing but pleasant and helpful and don't harass you (can I help you?) as you shop. I'm a fan and will go out of my way to shop at this location compared to others in the county. :) read more

Some of the best employees here! Unfortunately I've had a lot of bad run ins with Sherry. I got told by a manager she is the one who runs the store! She is so rude and extremely rude and disrespectful towards her employees.! She yelled at the nice cashier Gilbert because he was helping us out instead of stocking! How on earth can such a woman be in charge of a store! Rude and nasty lady she is. I've witnessed her yell at cashiers countless times for asking us about our day and going the extra mile to help us locate items in the store. SHERRY is a nasty nasty lady. Find someone better to run this joint! Everyone else who works here have been so kind and so helpful I know they didn't learn it from her! read more

Maudie, the cashier, deserves a 5 star!!! She greeted each customer in line like they were top priority and served with wonderful customer service. The processing system for credit/debit cards was extremely slow, so she even prepared by asking the next customer in line if they will be needing a bag. There were 2 other employees who were not so helpful. The store was well stocked for Valentine's Day and even had the gear for St. Patty's Day. The manager on the other hand may need a little counseling in how to best support her staff and teamwork. I just watched as the manager saw a line of at least 8 customers extending and backing up. Instead of placing another team member on another terminal to help, the female manager interrupted Maudie while she helped customers in a long line. Maudie answered the question, smiled and continued checking out her customers. The store is well stocked and clean, although there has been some serious water damage in the ceiling and the back right of the store needs some lighting addressed as they have major flickering of lights. All in all, it was a good trip! Just hope great employees are not run out because of bad support. read more

The most wonderful thing is nothing is over a dollar were the 99 Cents store and other stories similar you can pay a very expensive price for some things. I've never seen a neater store than this one period. Everything was nicely neatly stocked. The store was very clean and very organized you can tell it's being run by a great team. My family and I have been shopping at this Dollar Tree location for years. Ive never had to make a formal complaint but customers should be warned about worker named Maricela. She abusing her rights as an employee by harassing and targeting non Hispanic EBT card holders. She insisted my card was not working I explained I already checked balance prior to coming shopping I have couple hundred available. She said "No ma'am you do not." I told her she was wrong but she scoots all my bagged purchases to the side of the counter and says I can call again to recheck my balance but she has other customers. She inconvenienced me and my child but I got the balance and shared it with Maricela on speaker phone of phone call so that worker could be witness that I do in fact have money. She continues to make me and my child wait while she helps another customer and a good five minutes goes by and I said "As you can hear I have money on the card so let's scan all this again and try my card again." She was so mad at me that she starts accusing me of being rude and agues at me in front of my kid when I asked her to stop several times. Even two customers chime in on her side and even offend my child verbally! They told us we should leave?!? Crazy world. I stood my ground and insisted that I wasn't leaving until she tries again. And warned her a reminder there are security cameras watching how she is harassing me. So she re ran the order of my items, doing so reluctantly and angrily , and once I swiped my card it went through! And she was in shock and said have a lovely rest of your day like she had done nothing wrong. I scolded her that there is my proof I Did in fact have money and that she had harassed me wrongly with no right or justification and then I left. I returned once more after putting purchases in my car to get her name and told her that I'm going to make a complaint against her with manager and she insists she is the assistant manager. I said I don't care because I'm calling the Real manager (her boss ASAP) . She said the manager wouldn't be in until today and now no one is answering the phones.
