While charging my car at the Electrify America station nearby, I went over here to peruse for some items for my camping trip. This is a medium sized store, with a grocery and Ulta area. I was looking for shower sandals, and was able to easily find them at the front with their seasonal summer items. One thing I love about Target is the affordability of seasonal items. The sandals were only $5, and they also had other cute summer sandals. Going in there for a quick pick up is super easy because of the store layout. This Target is also connected to the mall, so you can enter either from the front or through the mall itself. read more

I popped into Target to grab staples I needed, like eggs and bread, and some items I really wanted, like cheese and cookies. The store was clutter-free, and the aisles were clearly marked, including many clearance items in many sections. While the prices are higher than those at WalMart, I appreciated the ability to check out quickly and the super-friendly cashier. She greeted me genuinely and kindly and quickly and efficiently checked me out. I've been to several Targets over the years, and I have to say this one was one of my favorites. read more

GETTING HERE: This Target, that "French Store" - #IYKYK - is located on Main Street in Ventura, CA. It's next to Bed, Bath, and Beyond (RIP) and has the McDonald's in front facing Main. Huge parking lot, too boot, but it's ^always packed with cars and people. REVIEW: I used to avoid this Target at all costs; but location location location matters, IMO. Service is not what it used to be. The value is not what it used to be. But, we're living in 2024 so what is a customer to do. Pretty solid with holiday items, etc. But, I did notice a negative thing (IMO) regarding their inventory of specific things. I went in today for a specific brand item of makeup, but they no longer have/carry space for it on the floor. Whether it's because that brand is getting phased or pushed out, who knows. But, that leaves me no choice but to order online (from probably a competitor, now). They have the Starb in front per usual. I walked around and around a few times scanning what caught my eye. I cannot comment effectively anymore on whether Target is a value for me anymore. #SadFace. read more

This Target is bigger than the one at the Pacific View Mall. There's more clothes here and a bigger selection of items. They have a lot of kitchen items, gardening tools, and hygiene products. There's also a Target Optical which is great. read more

First of all, I am a frequent shopper at this Target store, as it's the closest proximity to my home, and usually have good customer service there. However, the other day I was stuck behind customers with rather large purchases, and I only had like 2 items to buy. A cashier started to open up another lane, only to take another large purchase customer who was right behind me, and she didn't even offer to take me first. This is not the first time this has happened to me, and it's maddening as hell. Your cashiers are rude, and don't pay attention to details like that, and it should not be allowed to happen. I won't be shopping at this Target anymore, until the cashiers clean up their act, or at least apologize for the inconvenience. read more

I usually shop at this Target when I'm in the area and it has always been a pleasant experience. The staff is really friendly. The shelves are clean and the cashiers are friendly. Lately I have been ordering a lot on the Target app and just driving up to pick up my order. They make the process easy and clear. You find an open parking spot reserved for pick ups and the staff will come drop off your order in a reasonable timeframe. The staff is always nice and apologetic if it takes a while especially when they are busy. Lots of parking. My only warning is that there's homeless people hanging around especially near the McDonald's so be careful if you're walking around the parking lot. read more

A few days ago, I was in need of lunch as I had left mine at home and hate eating fast food. I only get a 30 minute lunch. Target came to the rescue ! I ordered a salad and grilled chicken from here. Both Good and Gather brand which I believe is owned by Target. I am picky with store brand stuff but happy with Target products! A few hours later, I drove up and had my lunch was ready ! So good and great service. My drive up was ready pretty quickly and I didn't starve. I'm trying my hardest to eat healthier and am happy I can just get groceries/lunch via drive up. So easy peasy and the workers here are so friendly. This Target is close to my office, so I stop here pretty often. Also, I usually can't find my make up shade in Oxnard but this Target always has it. Love that! read more

I don't come to this location very often, only when I'm in the area for work. But each time I've gone I've always enjoyed my visit. I'll definitely always stop at Starbucks. That is a must. It's located right as you walk in. The one thing I like about this target versus my location, it does have some different items which is nice. One of my favorite things is to look at the $1-$5 section when you walk in the store. I love the options of items that they have. For the most part when I walk through the store when I'm there, it's usually pretty clean and organized. Employees have always been nice. It's sometimes hard to find one out on the floor but they're very nice when checking out. This is definitely my go to Target every time I'm in the area. And it's nice because it's located near the freeway. The bathrooms are usually clean enough when I am there but there's definitely some days where they could use a little bit of cleaning. read more

This Target has a great optometrist, easily the nicest I've ever been to and I would recommend her and the optometry department. The store itself seems organized and nice and the first two times I visited I thought it was one of the nicer Targets that I've been to. However, as we were walking the aisles we came across RoundUp, which is notorious for poisoning the bees and other pollinators. It destroys Milkweed and therefore decimates the Monarch population. If this isn't enough, Monsanto has already paid over $10 billion to people who developed cancer after using RoundUp! I was pretty horrified to see it on the shelf and will not be shopping here any more. read more

Glad to see all the employees were wearing masks. I was impressed that the floors looked clean & shiny. I had a good experience shopping here. Also because I tend to go when they had just opened. I dislike shopping when it's busy. Especially during these times in a pandemic. Only thing I ran into, was that some of the items that I was trying to find on a baby registry, they did not carry or have in the store. Also the one item that was displayed on the Target mobile app was no where to be found. The cashier that helped me was really sweet. Too bad I didn't get her name. So thankful I still have the choice to come here! This store remains my favorite of the two stores in Ventura. The workers remain involved with your shopping experience, are familiar with the store and are helpful. The store is clean and tidy, except for the customer service area. I do understand this part because they are trying to stay up to date with all of the online orders. The online ordering system is always accurate and timely. Stopped in here to grab a coffee and breakfast sandwich. It was a very quick visit so this review will be short and to the point. There wasn't anyone in line so i was able to walk right up to the counter and order. The ladies behind the counter were superb! They were so friendly and fast. I was in and out in 5 mins. Went to pick up some drinks and found a ton of dead and alive ants inside of the fridge where the alcohol is. The amount of ants seems like this has been going on for a while and there were a lot of dead ones spanned across about three door lengths. Pretty disgusting and needs to be resolved ASAP! read more

I don't think people realize that this target IS NOT THE ONE AT THE MALL! This spot is right by McDonald's and US bank on the main street closest to the 101 on-ramp. The people working there are always so helpful/friendly. always a great experience coming to this location. I also overheard someone say that they might add a Starbucks now that they're remodeling. how exciting! Only thing I don't like about target in general are the red cards. The parking lot is a little crazy here, but the store is big and has lots of stuff. We stopped in last night looking for a room dehumidifier. I'd already tried another home-type store that didn't have anything and was hoping Target would. It took a little searching but we finally did find them. They had two models: tiny and very small. I had been hoping for a medium or large but after checking online to read reviews about the very small one, it looked like it would do the job we needed, and take up less room than the one I had been expecting to buy. Target's price was the same as on Amazon but I didn't have to wait for delivery, I bought it and took it home and used it that night. Staff was courteous and professional and the store was tidy and clean. the isles are wide and they have products including clothing, home supplies, produce/groceries, toys, electronics, furniture, pet supplies and more. read more

All I needed was to make an appointment to get my eyes checked. One person who answered the phone stated "This Is CVS". I did not call CVS, and he did not even know what an eye doctor was. Just another good Target location with a few new perks. First, it very easy to find, it's closer to other shopping locations and parking is abundant with well organized carts system. The parking spaces are well dimensioned so that your car doesn't seem to have less room to other cars. Upon entering this location, it's cleanliness and orderliness is very respectable. Searching for items are easy to find and the friendly staff seem to care about not just their paycheck. Had no hustle looking for anything. The lines are average with well within average, but the self paying check out system was highly beneficial, as they had staff close by to assist if needs be. Within my short stay in this area, I have been there twice already, and I might have to go back to get some more milk for my babies. Anticipate an excellent service. read more

Had an awful experience in the old target today. I was able to pay for what I needed in electronics, just around 3;30pm 7/21/21-no problem. That was a 4 star experience. and thanks to Michael for helping with the price override. What happened next was a crummy experience to go through. Maybe about 10 mins later, i had to checkout with something up front, as I had an item that could not be paid for in electronics. All is well up to this point. Now, to give context over how I'm perceived. I'm never treated great by all or very many lighter skinned people as I'm an older, short, heavy set, brown skinned male, however, after initially spending a pretty penny in the old target on main, I was treated as less than a second class citizen by a one manager/associate 'Josh B'. And this was just a few minutes after my purchase. Probably around 3:40pm, I approached your 15 items or less mobile stand you were operating and you completely disregarded my request to check out. Yes, you did this and you need to do better. I also saw how you spoke with a few POC when they were attempting to conduct a debit transaction, and lemme just say, had you said that kinda crap to me, we would have handled it with your upper management. Management-don't let this kid get away with petty behavior like this. Take note, You had the opportunity to help me check out with my one item and instead, you stated 'um, no sorry', and then you proceeded to help another team member, and as her register was closing, you kept your head on a swivel and were looking around at the people in the surrounding lanes as if you had complete awareness over what you were doing. You continued to demonstrate your poor customer service as you decided to open up register 12 less than a minute later, mind you, you kept your light off throughout the entirety of the time and you still continued to help 4 additional lighter skinned women, some older, some with children. But, that was a terrible feeling. I was told 'no' only for you to flip and serve people of the opposite color and gender. This is just your average Target. Better because it's not at the crowded mall location, but I apparently can't find parking in this area. I mean, there is parking off to the side, which I usually park there. But if you need to run in quick, there is horrible parking right at the front. The 200+ yard round trip went smoothly enough - no panic attacks, no Tourette's-like outbursts, or crude arguments with soccer moms. I like this location better than the two story Targets at the mall or town center. The parking lot has plenty of spots and you can wander over to Bed Bath or the shoe store that share the parking lot. The grocery aisles have expanded and I can usually find whatever household items I need. If you want to print your own photos, there are bluetooth/USB kiosks available up front. My last shopping search was for a large button telephone for an older friend. Google told me this store didn't have any in stock but the mall location did, and it was right and saved me a trip to the wrong Target read more

Who doesn't love Target?! I recommend this location over the mall Target any day. Parking is more readily available here and the spots are big enough to park an SUV-plus shopping carts are also more available. There is a small food court located to the right as you enter which serves hot dogs, nachos, Jamba Juice and coffee. All items are reasonably priced, great snacks to provide energy as you shop. This location is also more organized than other places I've been. You can actually find the sizes in order from 2,4,6,8,etc. There's always someone at the fitting rooms so you get to try things in and then you're out, nice and convenient. read more

I took my grandmother - I call her "Gammy" - to Target today as a special treat.  It's one of our favorite places in all of Ventura.  Gammy has always been there for me.  She took care of me when I suffered a serious calf injury in 2006; I collided with a young cow while cycling in Napa wine country. Gammy and I appreciate a good value on high quality products, and the recent renovations at the Ventura Target store make shopping there a distinct pleasure. Unfortunately, Gammy's health has been in decline and she's slowed down quite a bit in recent years.  In her younger days, however, she was unmatched at three things: quilting, showing her grandchildren unconditional love, and bouncing checks.  Gammy was a saint, but we never got too attached to her birthday gifts or Christmas presents. Those days are behind her now.  Gammy and I enjoyed walking through the bright, well-lit and highly organized Target aisles.  Seasonal products are starting to appear and they're always an exciting treat.  Holiday decorations bring back vivid childhood memories for me - a time when anything was possible. I had an imaginary friend named Omar when I was a child.   Omar and I started growing apart shortly after Gammy stole his identity and bought a trash compactor and lifetime subscription to a popular fruit-of-the-month club on a credit card that she opened in Omar's name.  Regrettably, we all suffered as a result of Gammy's imprudent actions.  Omar's credit score never recovered, and I internalized that unfortunate event in my own way. It was a crisp Autumn morning when a coverall clad group of fruit-of-the-month club henchmen tumbled out of a white van in front of our house and onto the front porch to repossess our cherished baskets of loquats, mangosteens, elderberries and honeydew.  That event was seared into my memory, because it occurred while I was hosting my Boy Scout troop on the front porch.  Omar was livid, Gammy unrepentant, and I was denied a rare and coveted 'Exotic Citrus' merit badge that year.   The Target food court now has a Starbucks! Gammy and I sat and had a hot beverage at Starbucks after buying socks for Uncle Nando. I don't know much about Nando other than the fact that he's never had a fixed address and is not allowed to visit petting zoos in Arkansas. When I mention his name to Gammy over our warm lattes she discloses no more than a painful smile. It was soon time to leave, so I carefully guided Gammy out of the store and back to my car.  I'll always cherish this special time with Gammy, and it was made possible only because of our shared appreciation for reasonably priced consumer goods. What's there NOT to love about T? Absolutely nothing! This store is located near the 101 and quite a bit of other home stores and a bunch of eateries. The store is kept pretty clean and for the most part, it seemed like most of the products on display were available. This store has the typical sections like the dollar spot, seasonal section in the back of the store and groceries, along with the others-home goods, clothes, etc. I don't normally review T's but I had to give a shout-out to the employee who helped my friend and I. I wish I got her name, but didn't think about it till after. Every time I've shopped at any Ts, no employees have ever really stopped to ask if I needed help. But my friend was looking for Dino nuggets for her son and we must've had a noticeably puzzled look on our face because an employee pushing a merchandising cart and a scanner stopped well after she had passed us and asked us if we needed help with anything. She scanned the item that we were looking for and she let us know that they were out of it currently but gave us three other Ts that had them. We just thought that was the nicest customer service ever! read more

First off Christmas this year is difficult for everyone for those who have lost jobs and for anyone who has not gotten promoted for SteppingUp and doing the job of the Manager. Being from out of town went to this Target to get some last minute gifts with My Wife and Sister-in-law, the cashier and the team leader Josh was very helpful but Daniel the So Called COWARD OF A MANAGER that out right should not be in the position he is in, that is afraid to assist his team leader in a customer service Issue should be Demoted from his position and the individual Team Leader Josh who was very helpful in handling the issue should Out Right Have a raise and Promotion to the MANAGER POSITION. Hi I really like this particular Target myself. I thank target corporation for a QUIET atmosphere! I never hear hater parents or drama-addicted couples! The children are safer too, from demeaning adults. I have never had any conflicts or troubles except when the pharmacy changed ownership to CVS. Records were not kept straight. I switched to an established CVS, but this was eons ago. Someone reported that target must throw meat out if a customer at the register decides not to buy. Return your meat to the proper place yourself before you get in line. My sister and her kids dumpster-dive. They love to have the fresh meat. Don't concern yourselves with ethics.
