Last 7 times I've ordered items to be picked up in store they are always "out of stock " conveniently only to go to the store and get the item myself. Be sure to sign up for thier scorecard customer perk. It tracks your points and helps you acquire gift cards and coupons. It appears that they need some help up front. Only one cashier was available when I was checking out. The line was 5 deep with no help in sight. The customer service was still friendly and polite. I will continue to come back as long as they keep the price match option.

Plus I didn't know where to start on what I would need. Daniel and Duncan were incredibly helpful. From informing me about the different layers I would need to helping me find the right size thermals, ski pants, ski jacket and gloves. I was able to try everything on to make sure it fit. This place has top quality brands. The staff is very knowledgeable. They also have a lot of stuff for hiking. What a great find! I pulled in because I needed something from the store, had a question about my…read morehouse batteries, and thought I might ask if they had a campground. I was greeted with kindness and treated like family. Jimmy and David answered my questions and helped me find what I needed. I was pleasantly surprised to find Gander is part of their store. Not only did they let me stay in their lot, they hooked me up to power and water and didn't charge me anything. They Introduced me to their manager, John, who was equally inviting. The showroom and the store were very nice. I, of course, found some things at Gander I could not pass up and Hunter took good care of me at the store. The next day I asked about staying another night and David said that would be perfectly fine. He even recommended a bike trail close by. When a problem arose numerous people came together to help. These folks have earned my business in the future.

I purchased a Furrion Chill Cube air conditioner from Camping World in Dothan less than 30 days…read moreago. I installed it and used it one time without issue. On the second use, the unit stopped cooling completely. I went back to Camping World expecting them to stand behind a product they had sold me less than a month earlier. Instead, I was told I would have to deal directly with the manufacturer. I understand that manufacturer warranties ultimately go through the manufacturer, but when a product fails almost immediately, I expect the retailer to make some effort to support the customer and the product they sold. What made the experience worse was how it was handled. The service counter staff were short and dismissive, and speaking with the manager did not improve the situation. There was very little effort to help resolve the problem or even acknowledge the frustration of having a brand new unit fail right away. To be fair, the manufacture (Furrion/Lippert) has been responsive so far, and I appreciate their assistance. My complaint is specifically about Camping World of Dothan and the lack of after-sale customer service. A brand new air conditioner shouldn't fail after essentially one use, and a customer shouldn't feel abandoned less than 30 days after spending their money. Based on this experience, I would be very hesitant to purchase another major RV component or anything else from this location. Selling the product is one thing. How you handle a problem afterward says much more.
