Gandy's Beach is a cute little strip of road along the shoreline in Cumberland County, NJ. But despite the name, there is no beach here. A minute away on Money Island, there is a small bit of beach, but Gandy's only has some parking spaces, and a seawall where day trippers come to sit and fish.
The singular road that connects this little community, is lined with homes at least a story up on pilings. It's a fun place to visit to see how folks live here, and catch glimpses of the DE shore across the bay, or see a beautiful sunset. But you can walk the entire road in 15min, so this is not a major destination, unless you're there to fish.
Money Island is a minute away, so it's worth checking that out too, but again, you can walk the place in a half hour tops.
This area is remote, through a lot of marsh to access it, no stores or gas stations for miles. So be prepared. read more
