Went to Ganly's with my husband and parents to have some lunch. What a disappointment... This is a pub, but judging by the price, you'd think you're in a five-star restaurant. $10.50 for Donegal fries. $16.50 for 10 wings. I could almost stomach the prices had the service been good or if the food came out quickly, but alas, neither. The waitress was frazzled and definitely in the weeds. I'm not sure what was going on in the kitchen, but it took 25 minutes to get our soup. If I'm going to pay over-inflated prices for food, I'd better get spectacular service. Neither the food or the service merited the price. Sorry, Ganly's. Do better. read more

Ganlys is my favorite local restaurant. The service is always great and and their Thai chili wings are my go-to. They even have a little outdoor area which is perfect in the spring and summer. read more

Went here yesterday 12/28/21 for lunch with my kids and some friends. Service was a little slow but good and food was good but apps came up same time as food had ordered an app for my youngest it never came out when I asked about it was told they were out which ok I understand but then everyone at the table got their food except my 7 year old...he got his food dead last after everyone else had had theirs for at least 10-15 mins....it was only a grill cheese! I understand they just reopened but to have everyone at a table eating but a 7 year old child really kinda upset me. If you go and have younger kids please make sure to take something for them in case this happens to you! I gave my son my lunch to eat till his finally arrived. May try again but at this point probably won't. read more

Just went there for the first time today, the least I could say is it was amazing. When arriving I was greeted by the sweetest hostesses that then took me to my table. The ambiance was perfect, it was a beautiful day to sit outside on the patio. Our server was very well organized and outgoing and to top that, the food was excellent. I got the Shepard's pie with the Jameson bread pudding for dessert and it was just divine. Overall a wonderful place. read more

Myself and 4 friends recently had lunch at Ganly's. This was my 2nd time here but my last visit was about 15 years ago and I must say it was a pleasant surprise to see the renovations. This was a wonderful place and the food was amazing and extremely delicious and very hot when served! I had a delicious Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries, the best I ever had and for dessert I highly recommend the bread pudding... I wanted go back the next for another dessert! I can't even explain how delicious it was and I have never eaten anything else to compare it too! EXCELLENT LUNCH...will be back soon!!! read more

Ganly's is hands down our favorite casual dining restaurant in the area. Consistently excellent fresh food and bar with super friendly staff. My English husband loves their Bangers & Mash which says everything! If you love desserts the Jameson Bread Pudding is to die for. Creative drink and coffee flights that are fun and delicious. Lovely, cozy, inside atmosphere with a comfy outside seating area. Cocktail menu is refreshed quite frequently with newly invented cocktails by numerous staff. Welcoming to families with children even with the pub atmosphere. Don't miss out...many area establishments could/should take notes from Ganley's. :-) read more

Ate there today! They just reopened on 12/13/21 and we are so glad they did. We ordered appetizers including a scotch egg, Reuben empanadas, French onion soup, and today's soup of the day: roasted red pepper crab soup. It was so good. A tried and true Irish Pub. Do not know what all the hype is about, this is an okay place (neighborhood bar and restaurant, but at supper time it is very noisy even in the dining rood. Service and food are okay. Food is pricey. There a lot better restaurants around. Doubt if we will return. read more

A stone's throw away from Blue Marsh Lake and at the intersection of Brownsville and State Hill road, you'll find Ganly's, an inviting, small-town bar/pub with Irish flair. What it lacks in whimsy is more than made up by its charming architecture and comfort food laden menu. Pub fare is the main attraction here, which includes a familiar offering of wings, nachos, quesadillas, fries, shrimp, and dips. It's comfort food at its finest, with a comforting atmosphere to boot. Beyond the finger food, I wouldn't recommend any of the entrees. Steaks and seafood are oft-overcooked and dry/tough. Stick with the sandwiches and apps, and you'll be in good hands. Another dining option for the vegans (yay)! It's so hard to find vegetarian, let alone vegan options at restaurants so I was extremely pleased to see that there are several options at Ganlys. Many of which can also be made gluten free! Their cocktail menu was fun and their outdoor dining space was adorable. We were extremely happy with our service and meal - we will be back! read more

Lacked Irish appeal. Went three different times based on good reviews from friends all three times were disappointing. Sever was frazzled and confused brought or dinner's out separately.... Forgetting one waited for martini's as they were sitting on the bar getting warm. All three times was poor. Sad because the place has so much potential. read more

We have eaten here before in the past, under old management. Not sure what changed but I've never seen the parking lot so full on a Thursday night. Insane to find parking. We ordered 2 Ganly's Reuben's. One with chips and one with fries. Paying 1.50$ for fries. Son got a Pub Burger with Fries. (1.50$) All for 48.76, which is fine if it's good food. So my wife and I both agree the Reuben is just not worth it. One, wife ordered fries and got chips, not happy about this. Two, placing chips in a container with hot food, not ideal. Chips were wet and then turned cold in the air. Paying for fries and not getting them and then being stuck with wet chips. So I'm not sure if they tasted bad because of this or if they just taste bad on their own. Good note, son liked his Pub burger and fries. Even stated he got a lot of fries. His meal to him was satisfying. Last note. Made a comment to the front about how I've never seen this place so full. Lady in the front stated " oh this is light". So besides screwing up our order, this place is doing something right to pull in a crowd like this on a Thursday night. read more

We came for their vegan weekend and were very pleased to find upscale whole-foods type dishes -- NOT the dreaded grilled veggie plate or pasta primavera or hummus, hurray and bravo! We brought eager friends, and the place was packed. Beers were great, as was the service. There were even wonderful desserts, mini-cheesecakes of different types on a plate served as a flight, how cool. I would never ever have thought there would be awesome vegan food here. Such a delight to be able to enjoy a classic Irish pub. Hope they do this again. We will cancel all plans and gather our friends to come right out! Fantastic to see Ganly's making a comeback after the woes of a pandemic. Fantastic food with something for everyone. I would not suggest making reservations here! Made a reservation months prior for a large party, spoke with the manager multiple times, and even have voicemail confirmation. Just a week before the date, the restaurant called to inform me that they were now closing on this day altogether for a different party. Ive been here several times hoping they just had a bad day. I have sent my food back every time because it was extremely salty.

This was our first time here and we loved it! First off the place is CLEAN and all staff were following safety protocols with protective gear and cleaning off areas after customers left. The staff were extremely polite and helpful throughout our dinner and this was on a busy Saturday evening. All of our food was delicious however the standout was the French Onion Soup without a doubt one of the best I have ever tasted! Also I had a burger and although all of us can make a burger this burger was cooked medium as requested and seasoned perfectly. We also had a bangers and mash excellent as well. What a great find! We were visiting from out of town and decided to sit at the full service bar for dinner. The bartender who served us, Giovanna, was awesome. She was so friendly and efficient. I felt like I was having dinner with friends. We took our time and chatted with some locals. We shared the lemon crab dip for an appetizer (delicious!) and then had the baked chicken entree with potatoes and asparagus. My husband doesn't generally like mushrooms, but we both loved this dish! Everything we ate and drank was delicious. Not only did we have a tasty meal with excellent service, we were also provided with some recommendations for the area. We met some local family here whom recommended the place. There was a restaurant portion and then a separate bar portion. We sat on the restaurant side. The menu had appetizers, sandwiches, burgers and some entrees. There was a selection of Irish favorites as well as some Italian and American. Some of our table chose the burgers, one the chicken francaise and the banger sandwich. There was a kids menu available too. Everyone said their meals were delicious. I've never had a 'banger' before but it was pretty good, it was a sausage on a pretzel roll with sauerkraut and honey mustard. Most of the burger/sandwich meals came with fries which were the wedges, and just sub-par at best. Our waitress, I believe her name was Victoria, was amazing and very nice, constantly checking up to see if we needed anything. read more

They didn't seem too friendly towards minority people when you came in. I felt very uncomfortable and the waitress was rude and didn't pay attention to my needs the food wasn't good at all not enough seasoning, it was bland and over priced. My sister and her fiancé had been constantly telling me they wanted to bring me here for the draft selection. Unfortunately we ended up here on a day where they were short on staff. I don't want to knock too many stars because that obviously isn't their fault if waitstaff decides to call off for the day, this is more a 2.5 than a 3 but still. I also didn't get any food, I just wanted me some brews. I ordered a flight, and when one of the beers tapped out literally on my pour the waitress informed me someone would bring me out another... That replacement took quite awhile though. But again, not totally their fault. My biggest gripe is she didn't tell me which beer was which.. And considering I ordered multiple stouts I was a little begrudged, but eh. This happened on the second flight as well... K now that's a little annoying, short on staff or not a waitress should know to tell me what I'm drinking. Overall, I would happily return in hopes that their staff is stocked, and the fact that they had an awesome draft selection. My company enjoyed their food as well, so maybe next time I'll have a few bites along with my beer. read more
