My friends and family went there last night, Saturday, May 16, 2026. My best friend is the lead singer of the band that was playing. She asked if I could get 3 tables for everyone in her family and our friends. Well, a nice young lady took me to a table and explained we needed our whole group before saving a table. Well, I sat down and was told that I couldn't sit there unless I was seated by the young lady at the entrance. I said, I was seated by her. Fast forward, wouldn't let us save the tables for anyone. HOWEVER, 1 tables over, a lady sat down, by herself and held a table for her family. She was there over an hour before her party arrived. Another table, same exact thing. Anyway, I went back in line and asked to be seated where my one friend was. I was told to tell my other 2 friends to move from their tables and sit at the table our one friend had. Mind you, no one else was asked to get back in line or move. A very rude man who i was told was the manager came over to me and belittled me in front of everyone. His name is Tom and his shirt said security. For God's sake, we are all over the age of 60. He made me get back in line for the 3rd time. Never have I been so humiliated. He then , after I was seated again, told the servers not to service our table. A very nice young server, Jaselle, not sure of spelling, came over and said she felt sorry for us and took our order. Finally, someone who respected us. I will not go back there again. I have never been treated like that before. Very rude and combative. read more

I gotta say it is really convenient for me. It has an awesome outside area. Biggest problem is the food. I would say it's a four or five out of 10 for food Quality. Services about a five out of 10. I came in the summer and I love the vibe outside! Each table has an umbrella and there are sandy spots too. We had the Hills fries with the crab and Old Bay to start. I had the lobster roll and my cousin had the Hills burger. Food was great and I'd go back in a heartbeat! Service was also great! read more

Well it started out, how should I say, not good at all. My husband and I are visiting from Florida, and trying to reconnect with a group of friends back home in the Reading Pennsylvania area. So with so many to see and such a short time, we decided to find a restaurant with a lot of tables that would accommodate about 15 people maybe up to 20 depending on how many showed up and with significant others. We arrived and first thing we were greeted with was attitude with the amount of people. MIND YOU, THEY DON'T TAKE RESERVATIONS, WE TRIED. And I said you don't like when 15 to 20 people show up at your restaurant? Well then she decided to say we could have one table for four and when everyone was there she would seat everyone. So we said how about if we since there's seven or eight people there now about two tables and we'll go from there? More attitude, but then someone else came over and gave us even more attitude, and then when we said "well let's call everybody and tell them we're going somewhere else", they decided to give us the two little tables. People kept showing up and nobody evercame over to help us so we just kept grabbing tables and chairs and putting them together ourselves. Now I understand not taking up a whole lot of tables if no one's going to show up etc. I get it but there were like 30 tables that were empty out there we were asking for what, four tables? There were even tables stacked in the corner not being used. It was just ridiculous to have such an attitude instead of somebody saying let's see what we can do? Anyway we did have an extremely awesome waiter named Dylan, who made the entire evening go just wonderfully after that.... after WE put our tables together he was right there and he kept coming back waiting on each person that showed up kept coming back to see if anybody wanted more drinks or appetizers or more to order. He was extremely friendly and extremely outgoing. We told him that he was the bright star of the staff that night. Not once did either the manager or the hostess come over.... not once.... to see if we were okay or if the tables were fine. Not once did either of them come over and apologize for giving us attitude for just wanting to give them business. Please understand I've been a manager my whole life in retail so I understand sometimes you're not at your best, but you can come back later and fix things. I also understand not wanting to give up empty tables if they're not going to be used, but again there were literally tables all over the place empty and some stacked over by the fence never being used. So wasn't as if it was packed and we were trying to get tables that were being used. The food was good and the ambiance is very nice sitting outside. But would I go again? I wouldn't say no, but it certainly wouldn't be a hardy yes, that is for damn sure. But the Beverly Hills Tavern should thank our waiter Dylan for making the night special and making this a possible yes, and not a definitely not. THANK YOU, DYLAN!!!!! read more

This ones going to be short but to the point. Coming here with my friend to just chill and grab some drinks was what was totally good if we could have been served the second time. Our first experience with the bartender was positive the second she was horrible she told me that she couldn't make the drink my friend had asked for when she had just gotten it from someone before this just felt like she had an attitude for some reason so I was like ok and we just got other things. The patio was chill I liked how big it was but the service could have been better along with the prices as it was kinda high for a place like this. Overall one good bartender one horrible one either way I had a good time not so much so that I'd come back but then again who knows. read more

My nephew booked this place for a wake. It was wonderful. The food was excellent and employees were very friendly.

0 star worthless. Went there last weekend because I was visiting my parents and met up with my cousin to grab a drink outside on a beautiful day. We just ordered drinks and the draft beer I had was a bit funky and off. Looked at it closely and it's pretty clear they aren't likely cleaning the taps regularly. Didn't get a refund despite only drinking 2-3 sips out of a pint glass and being polite about it. There is so much potential here in the venue. Maybe they'll have new ownership one day that actually runs a half component restaurant and bar. read more

Didn't even eat or order drinks...have 2 toddlers (3&6) that we thought could play in the sand, well apparently the sand is closed on the weekend...was told could play in sand where cornhole boards are, well being that there wree 10-20 hornets flying in and out of the sand , nest? we thought it best they dont....also our oldest asked me to out the umbrella up so I did and the waitress said we weren't allowed cause of the wind??? My farts produce more wind then what was blowing, if you don't want people to put up the umbrella then don't put the umbrella in the table??!! The food was really good especially the boardwalk fries. But other than that the service was very very very slow... we arrived at 7:30 pm and left around 9:00 pm, keep in mind it was a table for two. The ambience is cool when the sun goes down, there's plenty of seats outside and more inside. Over all I rate BHT 3/5 the food is the only thing worth coming for. read more

Was excited to try this place out from an ad I saw on Facebook. Sounded like a great place for some mimosas and a Prime Rib Brunch for a good price. Drove 40 minutes to arrive and be seated, wandered around a lackluster buffet set up with an abandoned omelette station. I finally asked my server where the advertised carving station with Prime Rib was. she ran to the back and then came back to let me know there was no prime rib today. No carving station, no one to make omelettes as advertised. Just a few chaffing dishes full of cold food. Never again. read more

I don't like to write a review like this but it feels necessary considering my experience here tonight 6/20. I understand when it's busy service becomes slow. Our server only came and checked on us twice. We got our food and drinks. We finished everything and sat there for a half hour with empty drinks as our server cleared tables around us. I didn't leave much of a tip at all considering I feel we were given terrible service which was a first for us here. I asked another server for our check, we cashed out, moved tables to the other side of the bar, and opened a tab at the bar. Our previous server then proceeded to come up to us and harass us about the tip we left. We explained she gave us terrible service but she was persistent in thinking she gave us "excellent service". She continues to argue with us and I then asked for a manager. A manager never came to our table so I am now writing this review. I assume she didn't want to get herself in trouble considering she borderline harassed us even after me asking her to leave us alone. Went here with a friend on a Sunday afternoon not busy at all..ordered drinks my beer was in a can no glass offered to me for it and then we ordered food. I had the Tuscan chicken wrap it was ok but my friend got a "chicken cheese steak"...I've never seen something look so terrible!! It was a roll a few pieces of cut up grilled chicken a few onions and green peppers most were just on one side no cheese to be seen or sauce?!?! Asked bartender he said that's how they make it and then he walked away....really!! I'm in the restaurant industry and would never think to treat a guest like that! We were at the restaurant last night....which is really what they call the tavern...even though the bar on the outside reads TAVERN....now I know...any way....it was a very enjoyable experience....nice and warm inside since it was a chilly spring day/night outside.....I had the ahi tuna tacos and hubby had cheesesteak and fries. Wow...no skimping on the tuna! 2 big delicious pieces on each flour tortilla with an amazing sauce...everything in it had an amazing taste! The best I've had around for sure....they were out of steak so hubby got the sandwich and he gobbled it up...it was also delicious! A bit dark inside but it seemed very clean and the staff was very friendly....not sure what was going on at the bar....Johns dance band...the door was closed and I am guessing no room for us due to reservations...we plan on going there next weekend at the other side...my cousins band will be playing...we love coming here for outside seating! Drove from Lancaster on a Sunday to check this place out. My husband and I and my Autistic brother were seated and waited 25 min on the patio next to the bar. We understand restaurants can be short handed and tried to be patient. After seeing several other customers who arrived after us enjoying drinks and having multiple servers, food runners and bartenders pass our table several times, we decided we no longer wanted to give this establishment out hard earned money. The hostess may have noticed but she was too busy on her phone. On the way out I went inside and asked for the manager who was comfortably seated at the bar. I told her of our experience and let her know I would be posting a poor review. Since it was a far drive and it was getting late we unfortunately had to stop at Sheetz to feed my brother. It wasn't the nice weekend lunch out we were expecting. We both worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years and just don't understand why customer service has declined. We know the price of food has risen and when it can cost up and over 100 bucks to go out for lunch the least I expect is to be acknowledged and appreciated that I came to your establishment. My recommendation is to spend your money somewhere else. We recently had a wonderful experience at Stubby' s in Lancaster. The owner was out on the patio greeting guests and confirming they were having a good experience. Now that's how its done. I had to post a star but they really don't get any !!!! The four of us had the Mother's Day buffet. Everything that was offered from the salads, soup, potatoes, crab cakes, veggies and meats were prepared perfectly and very tasty! Dessert bar was a little lacking, but I'm not really one for sweets. Plus we were way too full from all the other yummy offerings on the buffet. Kuddos to the chef. Atmosphere is cool. We had to wait a while to get service and the drinks. However, you need to know that there is a cop that sits in the parking lot hiding in the trees all the time. We didn't have more than one drink. Having a cop sit in the parking lot is not a good look. I wouldn't recommend getting more than 1 drink here unless you want problems. read more

It's a beach bar in Berks! There's a huge outdoor patio area that surrounds an island bar that can thankfully be accessed from all angles. That's definitely a positive, since this place can get absolutely packed in the summer. Inside, there's a pretty standard restaurant and bar area. Really though, the only time this place attracts huge crowds during the warmer months. You see, it's all about atmosphere here, and other than the outdoor patio, this is just another run-of-the-mill eatery. The food is standard fare. There is a slight emphasis on seafood since they want to give off that ocean-side vibe, but you'll find all the usual suspects - burgers, wings, entree salads, fish/poultry/steak, etc. For a locally owned place, you'd hope there would be maybe at least one totally bonkers off-the-wall signature dish, but alas, they chose to play it safe (read: boring). My friends and I like to come here because, for as moderate as the weather is in Berks County, very few bars/restaurants offer up a distinctive, spacious, and enjoyable outdoor experience. Sure, there are a ton of places that have outdoor seating, but it's usually in a tightly enclosed patio with no character to speak of. Some of my fav features not mentioned above: - Sand! - Giant playground for kids in the shape of a boat - Corn hole! - Hook & Ring Toss Actually, there are a lot of cool games here. There's also a giant trashcan beer pong night during the summer. What holds this place back is the substandard menu, average service, and little incentive to visit during the winter months. read more

Do not recommend at all - 0 stars! . Arrived at 7. 10 mins for a table. Told 20 minutes for a menu and an hour for food. We were talking amongst the group. Time slipped away. At 8:30 we finally asked for menus and got them, ordered a few minutes later. 8:45 told the kitchen recently closed a few minutes ago. No explanation. They comped drinks. We would have maybe stayed for more drinks but they wouldn't let us order in. Others in the parking lot had pizza delivered and ate out there.I know times are tough but this is insane! I have always loved it here but my most recent visit makes me not want to go back. Recently my family including children went for dinner. It was NOT busy at all. Our drinks took 17 minutes to arrive (we checked the time.) Our server took extremely long to take our order. When she finally did our food took extremely long to arrive. Once our food came our server was walking around everywhere but to our table....we needed drinks, items for our food, etc. We watched her walk around everywhere but to our table, to the point we went inside and ordered with someone else. Our entire dining experience took 3 hours.... 3 rounds of drinks and dinner (no apps or dessert) on a not busy evening should not take 3 hours. Walked in at 7pm. Ordered the all you can eat wings. It's now 8pm and haven't received a single wing. My wife ordered pirogies and salmon. She's already eaten. I've watched other people walk in, get seated and have already eaten. Management you need to get it together. This is the worst service I've ever had in my life. My daughter and my grandmother and I came for an early Saturday lunch and arrived to almost nobody. It took a while to have a server come greet us, but it seemed they were still setting up for the day. After being greeted, the time between ordering and getting our drinks and food was pretty quick. The potato soup, salad, and calamari were all really delicious! I loved the dipping sauce for the calamari and the house dressing for the salad was amazing! I was a little confused by the sand area. Whether or not the "no kids" signs were meant to be ironic or not was lost on me. If that truly is the case, why are there sand toys? I have mixed reviews about this place, at times service is superb & others very mediocre. Today was another mediocre visit as my draft beers were room temp when freshly poured that I had to request cups of ice on both, utensils were not given until I asked for them even after our table's appetizers & food came out, & 1st time ever I was charged for a side of hot sauce. I understand if it was custom special wing sauce or something extra they whip up in the kitchen but this was for using a bottle of Tobasco on my food. Not a big deal since it was only $0.50 but just a definite odd experience there & when I brought that up to the waitress she was shocked herself as she insisted they don't normally charge for that and had to see it on the bill herself but offered to take it off which I said no biggie. Now am I supposed to expect to be charged if I use the ketchup or salt/pepper shakers on the tables??? She was nice & helpful so still gave her a more than generous 25% tip. Just disappointed as today had maybe 15-20 total diners compared to last Wednesday I went around the same time & had probably over 60 customers & service was superb with that nights waitress. Maybe I'll just blame it on the full moon that we have tonight. Prices are very reasonable but when ordering dinners or appetizers I see why as the portions are very minimal. When you go to a place and half the tables are empty and the hostess says we can't seat anyone because the kitchen can't keep up that's a sign of a real issue don't you think? I can only imagine the amount of money they lose on send backs and people who just leave since you order your food and it won't come out for hours and I can't make this up it's been like that for years at this place. I don't have an axe to grind and I go to this place freely but honestly, they need to do something about the kitchen at this place it's horrible The worst thing about it is you see the owner there and he sees this is going on yet there's a continual pattern of him not doing anything about it. The amount of money this place pulls and you would think they would add an addition to the kitchen? Maybe fire up that grill that they have outside and have quicker food for people who are just looking for something to eat while they drink. I don't own the place so I can't tell you how to run it but it's quite obvious from what I can see At the end of the day we did order some fries and sliders as we sat down for some drinks after waiting an hour for the table but we had already eaten elsewhere but just to see how long it would take. I had visited this location in the tavern side, on a Wednesday night, and I can say it was very dead inside, along with freezing! When it came to the service though, it was excellent (5 star)! There were two bartenders, who both kept coming over and checking on us. Our drinks were filled as needed, along with plates cleared as we emptied them. When it comes to the food....I would probably give my burger a 2.5-3 star unfortunately. I had asked for medium well, but it was just overall dry, and the outside was pretty burnt, which that flavor took over everything else. The fries however were very good. On the other end, my boyfriend had gotten the blazin buffalo burger and he was quite happy with his. I can say he LOVES heat, when it came to the burger, some bites did have a good amount of heat, while others were on the normal side. He said he would get this again. I had also tasted some of the chicken dip that fell out of the middle, I can say that it tasted pretty good, but for me was a little spicy. read more

This is probably the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. My company booked a private party. The restaurant knew beforehand we were going to have Karaoke along with interchanging gifts. During our festivities, the manager approached and told us to lower our voices because there were other people in the restaurant. When we were finishing up, the server informed us that we would not be able to take the food home due to their policy. Additionally, halfway through the celebration, they removed the appetizers without asking. Lastly, they informed the food would be removed at 10:15pm. We sat at a table and the tables in front of us kept getting waited on we were there about 15 minutes and I got up an caught a waitress leaving the table in front of us and asked could we get service. Was told we were at the start of the area that didn't get table service we needed to order at the bar. They were 6 of us I would think it would be worth the extra 3 steps ! Ordered at the bar . Drinks were not good in more ways than one we all switched to beer . We ordered steamed shrimp was was ok . High point was the band ! Went back a couple of times and stuck to beer and apps outside and it was a nice place to hang out . Went back recently for the Sunday brunch . It was absolutely horrible. We we sat down we actually heard two tables complaning but we really didn't listen we could tell they just were not happy. The buffet was worst ever . Dried up crap that was the saddest food ever ! The drinks were worse than in the summer . I have never had a bloody Mary that was so bad . The table of Ladies next to us spoke up and one said when she heard me order she was going to warn me but didn't know if I had been there before and liked them that way. Apparently I have lived only 30 minutes from this place for about 20 years and had no idea. Really awesome atmosphere number one and the food I had so far was really great bar food. Hubby had the flatbread pizza which didn't disappoint and I had he garlic smoked wings. And really reasonable prices too. Just wow that we never noticed this was so close to us.
