Do not walk, run! Patrick from Gannon Construction took my $11,000 deposit and after 6 months of promises never started the job. He promised he would get back to me re deposit and then ghosted me. This was phase 2 of a project. Phase 1 was plagued with delays, lies, and problems passing inspection. I've used Gannon Construction for many projects. Was always a waiting game for the work to get completed even though you pay when the invoice was due at certain times of the project, the work that was done was not always done the right way. The latest was waiting for brackets on a bay window installed 5 years ago in which I contacted the owner Pat and he kept promising he'd get the brackets. He did come by & supported the window with wood, said he'd be back, I've reached out several times, no response as I write this. I certainly would not recommend this company at all!! read more

I wish I had read the previous reviews before hiring Gannon. He was recommended by someone we trusted, but has been a disappointment. He has taken deposits for projects that he still has not started. He has not finished jobs that he has been paid for. We still have projects left over from some work on the house we did last year! Constantly giving excuses. Not coming when promised. Not contacting us when he doesn't show up. I am afraid that legal action may be required. Don't hire this guy. read more

This guy is a complete criminal. Don't even go close to hiring him. He did work on my house and stole money from me. He worked on my kitchen and didn't finish it. He worked on my bathroom didn't finish it. My bathroom was a new addition, and a few years later it's now leaking all over the place, it was accessed by another contractor and he said it was done completely wrong. I guess its true when they say a leopard doesn't change its spots. Although I saw some older, less than favorable reviews, I figured enough time had passed without a negative review. I hired him in the beginning of May to do a variety of projects at my home. Long story short, he lied about the status of his credentials (meaning he could not have pulled permits needed to do the jobs at the time I hired him), started a few jobs that he has failed to complete, some work that was done was not done in compliance with our contract, he was a no-call-no-show on multiple occasions, took money for kitchen counters, but to date refuses to provide proof that he even ordered them (and quite frankly I doubt he did). Despite multiple request for a commitment from him as to when he would finish the jobs he started (or in the alternative give me a refund), Gannon has chosen to ghost me. Last communication I got from him was a text on July 19th. No permits were ever pulled for the deck work he did and I am now I am stuck with 2 unfinished decks and still have no kitchen counters. He was paid in excess of what he would have earned if he had completed the projects he started and when all is said and done I am out about $6500. Unfortunately this is not my first rodeo with a contractor who engages in deceptive practices. I learned quite a bit the first go-around and will address this with the appropriate state organizations and have already contacted a local news station. The only reason I am giving him 2 stars is because his employees work hard for him. I just hope they got paid for the work they did. All I can say now, is "let the games begin". read more

He dragged his feet every step of the way. Small addition took double the time it was supposed to. Nothing but problems. Wouldn't show for weeks at a time. Roof constantly leaks after his so called repaired it. We just had a roofer come and look at it and the whole roof needs to be replaced due to his lack of expertise. If I could give negative stars I would. The absolute worst experience I have ever had dealing with a "company" if that's what they want to call themselves. It was one nightmare after another and it seemed to be never ending. One week worth of work was somehow drawn out for over two torturous months. Lied to on numerous occasions, incompetent workers doing shoddy work, and the most atrocious customer service and communication I've ever had to deal with. I have an easier time communicating with my dog and he's not very bright, even by dog standards. I've never posted a review before but felt compelled to warn people about this company. He left us with many items to be fixed. Could not reach him by phone or e-mail or going to his office. I am writing this review for my parents because I have listened to the hassle they have had with Patrick at Gannon Construction for the entire summer of 2015 and need to warn people about this business. They had ice damage from the winter and needed painting, wall papering, carpet replacement, wood flooring refinished and various other repairs. They also planned to do some extra work with him such as replace the outside door to their basement. They chose Gannon based on his good Better Business Bureau review and the fact that my uncle's daughter used him and was pleased. It started out fine. All work to be done was discussed, written out in detail, and agreed upon. It went bad fast and at this point - PATRICK IS PAID IN FULL AND THE WORK IS NOT COMPLETED!! They were told this job would take 2 WEEKS and that was back in May 2015. It is now the end of August 2015. How he managed to take all their money before finishing is unclear to me. What is clear is the whole process has been a nightmare. Even the work completed took a ridiculous amount of time and communication and quality of work was poor at best. As a matter of fact, he would not even bother letting them know if and when he planned to show up or he would say he would show up and DIDN'T. My parents would then try to track him down via his cell phone or email or by leaving a message with the person in the office, and he still ignored them for days or weeks. He sent Incompetent workers to their house - one didn't even know how to paint and needed to repaint their bathroom 3 times and my mother still isn't happy but gave in and decided to live with it! Another person spent DAYS taking wallpaper off the walls in ONE small room by scraping off a tiny amount at a time by hand. He has had one excuse after another for delaying work including many "family emergencies". I'd like to think my parents weren't lied to about that one since how incredibly low would that be - but - it's hard to believe after everything else that has gone on that there were any emergencies and he is just a LIAR. He has now completely stopped communicating with my parents. It has been three weeks of unreturned phone calls and emails. They were even nice enough to stop calling him for over two weeks thinking they should give him a break!! My parents have dealt with this more calmly than most. A very important detail to mention is the fact that my parents are elderly. In the end - this man TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY and should not be in business. He should be ashamed of his actions and sadly appears to be a liar. read more
