I had a great experience with this company. They charge much less to come out and assess the issue you're having ($45). They estimated between 9 and 11 and came around 9:30. Jayden quickly found and fixed the issue I was having with my door hand and lock. He also spend some time trying to fix my deadbolt too, but he realized the key pad needed to be replaced. Though he worked on it for quite a while, he didn't charge me for it. The Professional Locksmith seems like a good, honest company with knowledgeable workers. Another company told me the handles were beyond repair and needed to be replaced and quoted me $300, but Jayden fixed it for half that. read more

I needed new locks put in so I tried the Projects Tab on Yelp, entered my info, and waited for a response. I saw that four locksmiths received my request and The Professional Locksmith was the first to respond to my inquiry. They asked a few questions, provided an estimate, and when I asked if they could come today, they sent someone on the way with an eta of 45 minutes. Normally I would be wary of just committing to a business, but they had the Yelp Guarantee Badge (Yelp guarantees your project up to $2500), good reviews, and I liked that they were quick to respond. They came out, quickly reviewed the locks. The total came to more than I was quoted but I didn't doubt them as nothing in this place is as expected. The job was finished in under an hour, they explained the locks thoroughly, and we were done. I was pleased that the project was completed today. We paid for someone to come out and assess why our buzzer wasn't working. They gave us a quote and we had them come do the repair, which was an additional expense. The buzzer is now inaudible so no one can tell when they are being buzzed in. They acknowledged it didn't fix the problem bc they didn't bring the right part. If we want it fixed so it buzzes they said we have to pay again for the part and labor for them to come out a third time. We have already paid over $1k. I said it doesn't seem right especially since we already paid specifically for someone to diagnose the problem. (You shouldn't charge for that if you can't do it properly.) They offered a small discount on the work but said we still had to pay labor. Guy was then rude to me on the phone. I understand things come up and sometimes it's more expensive to fix things. If they had been upfront about that during the assessment it would have made a big difference. Or acknowledged that they didn't actually do the full job on the budget they promised. The technicians who came out here were always nice and respectful. We just feel like we're getting nickel and dimed and our buzzer is still broken. read more

I can't say enough amazing things about this company and their business model. After being jacked around by other locksmith companies, I was getting pretty frustrated. During one of my morning runs, I saw a Professional Locksmith van in my neighborhood. Quickly took a picture and called a couple of days later. Immediately responsive. The technicians also will take appointments after 5pm. This is so nice! I work a pretty standard business hours job and cant always leave to meet people during the day. We were able to schedule an appt that worked for my schedule. The technician that was sent was so nice. Really professional, polite and efficient. He was able to fix the majority of the issues that same day. Pricing was super reasonable and he was very quick. I had an issue with the key mechanism with the second door entrance to our building because the key turned continuously. After calling The Professional Locksmith, John came out an hour later and determined that we needed a new lockset. This lockset had to be ordered but when The Professional Locksmith got the lockset John came back and installed the new lockset. Yes, they did come and unlock my car after 20x times pulling their tool back and forcing, damaging my car, and now saying that the company is very "professional" and did not accept their fault for damaging my car stating that the car had many damages prior ( they did not even inspect my car to state such stupid things ). The car is kept in the garage and has been taken care of, that is not an old and junk car! Damages were made after the service that they provided. Green marking from the tool they used and the door is not fully closing after. After I send them the estimate of how much it would cost to repair all the damages that were made by them, the "professional" company stops to reply. The technician did not even verbally say something along the lines of "Hey your car is a bit complicated to unlock and there is a small chance I might damage a car. Do you still want me to do the work?" No. So he is responsible for the damage as long as your company is! Additionally, I was 8 month pregnant and this company cause me a lot of stress by calling me a "scammer" I would not recommend ProLock to anyone! Shame on you! read more

My key fob broke to my car so I wasn't able to start my car. I called a bunch of places, and in a rush to get my car back on the road I opted to set up an appointment with this company. Originally by phone the appointment was set up for between 1-2 p.m. which was great, but then I talked to another dispatcher and the appointment got pushed back to between 3-4 p.m. and that was still doable, but the technician didn't arrive until 5:20. I was under the impression that I would be getting a working Key fob and I was quoted a price that was rather high but I understand that there had to be some reprogramming so I assumed that it was appropriate. However at the end of the job the technician told me that the key fob doesn't work he would have to order it and that I basically just have a key. I am appreciative for being able to have my car back on the road, but paying $450 for just a key is insane. So before committing to this service I would say research other companies and find one that won't over charge you. read more

Really disappointing interaction with this Company. I submitted a request for an estimate to provide repair to the iron gate of my condo. I received an email response saying that it's a $45 service fee and the repair starts at $84 and a technician can come out today. Since I would need an estimate approved by my condo association before I could proceed with any repair, I called directly to get more information. On Friday, March 18 I called to set up service with the professional locksmith. I used them once a few years ago and had a great experience. I told the person who scheduled the visit thE number of locks I had and I also requested electronic locks with a keypad. I asked whether I needed to provide those myself, and the person who scheduled the visit said that they would have them on the truck. I asked her how much the electronic lock would cost, and she said about $145. Today, the locksmith arrived and told us that he would not be able to provide any of the requested services. We had a simple re-key and a simple lock change in addition to the electronic lock installation. He had none of the equipment with him. It was very strange that he wasn't able to do those, considering how straightforward they were. He said he could go back to the warehouse and it would take a couple hours to go get the locks. I said no thank you because I wanted all of the locks changed at once for consistency. He showed us a page in a catalog that had electronic locks for several hundred dollars more than I had found online, and said there would be a $125 installation charge as well. This was way more expensive than what I had been quoted on the phone. I told him never mind, I would get the electronic lock myself and then contact him to reschedule installation. Out of the blue, 2 hours later the technician showed back up and said he had brought back the lock from the warehouse to do the re-key. I had very clearly said we would reschedule another time and do them at once. He said he would need the service charge of $45. I asked to speak to the person who scheduled the appointment. His manager called me and explained that the person who scheduled me was new and didn't have the correct information. I explained I would be happy to pay the fee if services were provided, but even the simple lock change was not done, it did not seem appropriate given that I scheduled the appointment expecting services to be provided. read more

Unprofessional! I was on vacation and received a call from my next door neighbor that my Ex was breaking into my home with a locksmith from this company. She had shown them some old utility bill as proof she lived there. She hadn't lived there in 11 years! This was simply a home invasion and a huge violation from the locksmith company. I called The Professional Locksmith company right after speaking with my neighbor who got the locksmith's business card. I told them what happened and asked for a copy of the invoice and for a call back. Once they realized the liability of their violation, they did not call me back or answer my 8 phone calls and many emails. Bad service from an unprofessional company! When I returned home, many items had been stolen resulting in thousands of dollars off loss, tremendous stress, and some heart ache. I immediately called the police and filed a report. I am now pursuing charges against my Ex and will then proceed with getting compensation from this locksmith company. I don't recommend you do business with this company.
