I'm unsure why the reviews for this place are low, I have always had a good experience here. I like the atmosphere, I like their drinks and so far have had good luck with my food choices. I got the fish tacos today and I was way impressed. I get fish tacos at every place that has them on the menu and these were top notch. I put a pic of me with them so you can see how big they were. Avoid the hellhole... Go elsewhere, unless you're looking for lousy food, neglected service, a dank atmosphere while having flies buzzing about your food and around your table. We hadn't been in a least a year if not two and went again, still a fun atmosphere but the food seems to have gone downhill. Both of our burgers were so insanely salty that we could not finish them (oddly enough the bleau cheese was also a level of saltiness I have never experienced), I would be willing to bet that a salt lick from IFA would have been a better experience if I wanted salt. Our server did a good job keeping our drinks refilled, but he must have asked us if we wanted the bread pudding at least 10 times (we would never order bread pudding). read more

This is a fun themed restaurant with a bunch of amazing cars on display. After that the food was okay at best to me. Maybe it hurt that it had been hyped up to the extreme so my expectations were too high for the average restaurant. The staff was super nice though and the decor is awesome. read more

Came down the canyon after a weekend hike and an appetite worked up decided to give Garage Grill a try after seeing a few positive reviews and appetizing pictures around. We tried; Sushi nachos - 2/5 I've seen a lot of pictures/ positive reviews on this and I love sushi, so decided to give this a try. It wasn't really bad, just very very salty! A few adjustments here and it could be a dish to get when visiting. Tachos - 2/5 Tater Tot nachos that were pretty tasty at first but yet again they were soon just overcome with salt and a dish we didn't finish. (A real rarity for me) House salad - 5/5 Best thing we tried Overall, They have a large menu so could be a few winners here. Jambalaya was not for me, over smoked tomato paste with good Sausage and really good shrimp. Our table had a variety of food, chicken Fried Steak was neutral, ribs were good but really dry and tough, cheesesteak and Beef Brisket sandwiches were by far the best. Chocolate stout, IPAs.. lots of beers were had around the group.. all a yes! Great prices also! Food: Paddock club- large, good, good portion of smoked turkey, avocado and crispy bacon, chipotle mayo.. it was slightly dry for my taste, so when I added mayo it was perfect! $13.00 came with side choice, I got the tots! Speedboat Fish & chips lightly beer battered halibut (4 pc) side choice- twister fries and coleslaw $22.00 no complaints except we weren't a fan of the slaw, fish was delicious, great dill tartar sauce! Winners Circle Burger-- be ready for this big boy! 2 large patties!! This burger was a monster! Let's kick off this review with the positives. Number one, the atmosphere. This is a cool restaurant. Lots of interesting things to see and an amazing collection of real race cars. Second, the fries are pretty good. Best part of the meal, in my opinion. My father and my son each got a burger, they said they were pretty dang good too. Now let's move on to the rest... This is my second time here. The first time I ordered sushi nachos per the recommendation of the server. I'm not sure if I already reviewed them in another review, but I will say they weren't worth the money or the calories. This visit though, I got three different tacos. The server said it was Taco Tuesday, so they had chicken pork and ground beef. I said give me one of each. Have you ever cooked meat so long in a crock pot that it is completely inedible, but still has moisture because of the pot? Have you ever had chicken that tasted just like the pork and the beef, and you can't really tell which is which? Then you've probably had these tacos. I only ate 1 and 1/2. I tried all of them, and they were all gross. My little daughter was excited for miso soup. It's one of her favorite foods. The price was $6. I thought it would be a decent sized bowl. They brought her out the tiniest little bowl that you would get as a side at any Chinese restaurant for literally a dollar. She didn't like it at all. I tried it, had a very weird taste. Three of my kids got mac and cheese. Two of them sent it back immediately. I tried it to see if they were just being picky. It was flavorless and not worth the $8 each. My third daughter ate it only because she would eat dirt off of a princess plate if given the opportunity. We swapped out two of the mac and cheese plates for grilled cheese and mini corn dogs. The mini corn dogs honestly weren't that bad. Had a weird flavor, and we're overcooked, but we're okay. Not worth $8 okay, but okay. The grilled cheese is made with some kind of mutant neon cheese that we have never seen before. My wife got a buffalo chicken wrap, and she's too nice to say anything negative. With tip, we were about 100 bucks. What upsets me is, we could spend a hundred bucks at so many places and get an enjoyable meal and experience. I feel cheated and ripped off. read more

The service was great! Very welcoming and lovely interactions. The ambiance is so unique with the cars everywhere and sitting booths underneath. The food was also pretty good, I had the sushi nachos and the spicy chicken sandwich. Great portion sizes! The fettuccine TO DIE FOR, get that chicken on top! The brisket Mac and cheese is good, not great, but the brisket itself was YUM! The paddock San which is exactly what is sounds like, it's fresh and delicious. The Indy is simple but good. The onion rings were displayed beautifully and tasted SO YUMMY! The Garage is a pretty funky place that breaks a lot of norms. Auto themed restaurants normally wouldn't be my thing and I'd expect a full slate of chicken nuggets and cheap burgers. Not here. The selling point is the diversity of the menu, from surprisingly good sushi to in-house smoked brisket. The food quality was good, but not necessarily stellar. However, you're paying reasonable prices so a few bumps in the quality are no big deal. I knocked a few stars for service. Started great, then didn't see our server until the end of the meal. If you're in Draper and are looking for good food, reasonable prices and a very different vibe, the Garage Grill is worth it. read more

Found this place on the way home to wrap up Father's Day festivities. Atmosphere was unique with all the racing memorabilia, they sat us next to the kitchen so it was pretty smoky from the grill. Our waitress spent most her time chatting with a co worker right by the computer on the floor instead of actually waitressing or even pretending to do anything. Our pretzel appetizer finally came hardly one minute before our kids' meals- which was some dry crunchy rice with no seasoning with a bit of chicken- no sauce or anything worth making it $8. Husband's Caesar salad was ok- definitely not worth the up charge for a few slices of chicken! My wrap needed WAY more sauce/flavor & possibly made me super sick since all I had otherwise was an organic soup I eat all the time just fine. Waitress definitely had her customer service fake voice going the couple times she decided to grace us with her presence. Like another guest said- cool idea- bad execution. This restaurant is not dog friendly. We drove out to give this place a try per a co-worker recommendation. Check yelp first and it's listed as dog friendly. Get there and they turn us away because of the dogs. Had it not been listed as dog friendly restaurant we would have left the pups at home. This place is a must go! I'm not a car girl but I did have fun seeing all the different cars around me. This unique place has all sorts of food. They have sushi, nachos, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, they pretty much have it all! And you won't be disappointed with tHe alcoholic beverages! The low stars worried us, but Rod gave it 5, we were nearby, and hungry. Staff was upbeat (but not in an annoying way) and accommodating. The garage theme throughout is done well from the car rag napkins to the soap smell that reminds me of my grandpa working on his boat (a garage doesn't only house cars!) My photo is blurry (didn't have my glasses on), but it should give you an idea on the portions. My fish (halibut) was lightly coated, giving me more meat than breading. And the quantity was decent but overpriced for $22 - that's close to filet mignon range without the finer dining experience - especially since it only comes with a side of potato (adding a vegetable side would be better). I had to ask for tartar (shouldn't it come with?) and malt vinegar (twice, because the first kid only brought tartar). I'm surprised they don't have an option to jazz up the potato sides. Our waiter, Ragnar - not his real name, said he'd ask the kitchen to add queso, green onions, bacon, and sour cream to my tots. They came out with a little shredded cheese melted on top and queso on the side, nothing close to what we (the waiter and I) wanted but the tots were brilliantly cooked with a crisp exterior, creamy potato inner, and the queso was great for dipping (tastes like Totino's jar queso, which I like)! It wasn't a disappointment because I knew I was asking for something off menu and would be grateful for what I got. Hope they add an option to load the tots/fries, but until then I'll ask for queso on the side. My husband ordered the gluten-free bun and found it to be tasty but fell apart, which negates the purpose of a proper burger. Would choose it lettuce-wrapped, or just on a bed of lettuce if they don't wrap, until they get a better gluten-free bun. Our onion rings could use seasoning (we don't think they had any salt, or at least not enough to taste). They are heavily breaded, which are too crunchy for my soft palette, so I cut them with a knife and fork but found that several onions were too thin (they were that kind of wax paper texture like the outermost layer of onions). Decor = uniquely phenomenal. Service = attentive and on top of refills like a champ. One thing I loved was the versatility of their menu. I could come here with my sushi extremest sister and fish hating mom, and we could all find something to eat in our taste range. Unfortunately, the taste of the food is mostly mediocre. They have the right ideas, but the execution thereof is not quite there. Highlights were the Autobahn Pretzel. It's your classic salted pretzel but they bring it with spicy nacho cheese sauce (spicy as in as spicy as a typical nacho sauce is). It was wonderfully fluffy, like eating a cloud. The Flying Lap BLT really pleased my dad's tummy. He's a classic homegrown man and he really appreciated the thick slices of bread and think, real bacon. And the Sweet potato fries were some of the best. Thin and crispy and paired best with the classic fry sauce it comes with. Never skip on fry sauce. read more

Above average food with a very unique and fun decor and friendly staff. The food is a hodgepodge of American diner favorites, Mexican, creole, and even sushi. I have not tried the sushi yet. It worries me to get sushi at a non-sushi-focused place. The onion rings are quite good. Burgers are above average if overcooked. The jambalaya was pretty good as well - note that it's spicy. The biggest draw to this place is the awesome classic cars, automaker logos, flags, and racing memorabilia. Anyone who is a fan of cars will dig this place. Price is a bit higher than I expected. I think that's probably because you are paying for the admittedly exciting and engaging decor. There are long waits on weekends so get there early for dinner if you go on a weekend. read more

We paid our bill and still had drinks to finish when Zach (assumed to be a manager) came up and very rudely demanded that we leave using the excuse that there weren't enough tables when there were 4 empty large tables next to us, and plenty of booths open all around. No one was waiting either. We kindly got up and left, however our friend from Florida flew all the way out here so we could hangout and chat. Overpriced, but a fun atmosphere. We swung by here because we were in the area to get a drink and appetizer. We sat at the bar and happened to be there during a happy hour type special. A shot of whiskey for $2. It wasn't too bad for cheap whiskey. We also ordered the chips and salsa with queso. It was $8 which was pretty pricey for a small basket of chips. We actually asked for more chips because there wasn't enough to finish out the salsa. The rest of the menu was kind of random. I wasn't sure what they actually specialized in. They had sushi, burgers and pasta and really everything you would ever want. The decor and atmosphere was a fun vibe with cars outside of my price range on display throughout the restaurant.
