    Miso cod
    Mindi A.

This place is beautiful. Good location with lots of parking available even on a Friday night. We made reservations through open table and were sat on time. Some of the food was very mid. The appetizer was not hot (fondue) and the mains not seasoned (sole) but they keep their four stars because the miso cod was one of the best things I've ever had. The sauce was amazing! Service was not good. She was very nice but our appetizer and our food came out before our cocktails. We never saw her again to ask about them. So we asked the manager or expo who delivered the mains.

This was our first time trying out this place for dinner. We got some appetizers to start off with which was the calamari and the drum sticks. The drum sticks I had to say, it was super dry for being smoked and we didn't enjoy it sadly. The calamari definitely could have been crispier too but we liked the sauce that came with it. Our dinner entrees I got the seafood Alfredo, my fiancé got the fish and chips, our guests with us had the burger and the ribeye steak. I had to say, I was super disappointed in my seafood Alfredo. The noodles were undercooked and the fish added in the dish overpowered everything else in the dish. I could barely taste any Alfredo and it was just a super fishy dish for me. The ribeye came as rare than what they requested for medium rare, and she gave me a strip to eat because I couldn't enjoy my pasta. My fiances fish and chip might have been the better dishes of the night but soup did not hit. Service was good as our waiter was attentive and the drinks that we got were pretty good. Overall, cute vibes for date night but I was definitely not impressed with the food and wish I could have been better.

I need a Wildfin in my town! While visiting family in Utah we decided to eat dinner at Wildfin. None of us had ever been and we all enjoyed it! The menu is jam-packed with a variety of meal options. I decided to order the maple turkey grain bowl. It was delicious! Every time I look at the pictures I wish I could go back and order it again. The ingredients are fresh and full of flavor. We had a 10/10 experience!

    Coconut cream pie!

We did an early dinner around 4 and were seated alone in the restaurant for the beginning of our meal. (Recommend this if you don't want to wait.) The food was fresh--some of it locally sourced which is a great bonus. The service was great and the waitress was helpful with our menu choices. We split a salad and the salmon prepared the seasonal way. Delicious. For dessert we split the coconut pie with a delicious chocolate coated pie crust. It was amazing. They serve Diet Coke--good to know if you are like me and hate Diet Pepsi lol.

What a great experience! We are new to the area and we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary yesterday. We had reservations at a mega-pricey restaurant in SLC, then decided to stay closer to home (South Jordan) and eat someplace great, but with prices that wouldn't break the bank. We are so happy we decided to take a chance and visit WildFin American Grill for the first time! Our amazing server, Felix was so professional, yet personable, and he will definitely be part of our anniversary memories, along with managers, Richard and Julia, who were also incredibly personable as they visited our table to make sure our experience was going well. Then there was the food... I ordered Garlic Prawns and Scallops, and my husband ordered Surf and Turf, with his choices being the Filet and Garlic Prawns. We also ordered Rosemary Potato Bread, which came with both sweet fig butter and chive butter and was to die for! We don't drink much these days, so we enjoyed two non-alcoholic drinks: Brigham's Brew (root beer, peaches and cream) and Blackberry Basil Lemonade. The filet was done perfectly, as were the seafood dishes. Just delicious! We ended our meal with Coconut Cream Pie - something you don't see on many menus - and it was delicious , attractively presented and perfect for celebrating a special occasion. We considered this to be an outstanding experience and convey our heartfelt thanks to Felix, Richard and Julia. Highly recommend!

I came here twice and was somewhat disappointed twice. I got the ribeye steak which was pretty decent. Flavor is good and meat is tender. Asked for medium rare but it was a little more rare for my liking. I enjoyed the potatoes though. The fish and chips were good but nothing extraordinary. It came with clam chowder and that was just ok and a little bland. We also got the seafood pasta and I did not like this at all. The noodles were a little hard so it felt like it was undercooked. There was salmon in the pasta which made the whole dish taste like salmon and super fishy. Definitely not a fan and would not recommend. Our waitress was nice but the service is a little slow in getting our drinks. A couple of us got a flight of beers and it was not evenly distributed as some glasses were 50% full and some were 70% full. Not sure if that's a normal thing or not. The ambiance was nice and low key. Overall, I don't mind going back but wouldn't be my first choice.

Wildfin America Grill has a really cool atmosphere and their team was really nice. The food overall was rather disappointing, especially for how expensive it was. I got the ribeye steak which included undercooked potatoes that were really hard. The steak itself was very dry and not cooked as asked. It almost felt as if it was freezer burned or something. Our waiter was really great but a little too attentive. She gave us the dessert menus before anyone was done eating dinner and came back asking when will be ready to order dessert. It almost made it feel like they're trying to rush us out of the restaurant or something.

Very nice building and atmosphere. Make sure you make reservations. Or get on waiting list early. The place is packed at 6pm. First impressions started out off kilt. It's odd to come from Washington and have Utah weird liquor laws. The receptionist wouldn't let us sit at the bar. She was panicking to not let us sit there. We explained we wanted drinks as we wait for a table and she let us in. Totally odd. Something Utahns are not accustomed to adults who like a pre dinner drink I guess. The waiter and the food redeemed. The Shrimp and Grits was awesome. I'm not much of a grits fan but totally recommend. My wife ordered the French Onion soup and Parmesan Soul. Both to die for. The server Marec was awesome. Made great recommendations, was prompt and anticipated what we needed.

The best word for this restaurant is "rustic." The decor is rustic and so are the flavors of the dishes. Don't get me wrong--I loved my food--but the flavor profile was more...earthy? than I expected. We tried the appetizer tower with the garlic prawns, smoked salmon, and calamari. We also got the bread with fig butter, and I had the Parmesan-crusted sole for my entree. I liked it all, although I would say the calamari was my favorite part. There was an issue at the end of the night, which is the main reason I am only giving the restaurant four stars. The server didn't give us a dessert menu; she just shared the dishes from memory. Although she mentioned the alcohol in the doughnuts, she didn't mention the alcohol in the coconut cream pie. My FIL gave my one-year-old a bunch of pie before the rest of us tasted it and discovered it was boozy! I'm still fairly furious they gave us an alcohol dessert without warning us, especially since we a) are obviously teetotalers since we didn't have any drinks with our meal and b) had a very young child along.

Welcome to Wildfin (damn, that's a good photo!).

After a little shopping in Riverton a hunger settled in that needed immediate attention, so we decided to try one of the many new restaurants in the area and Wildfin looked particularly appealing. I just LOVE it when a hunch turns out to be spot on! From beginning to end our experience here was top notch. Our server was professional, polite and attentive, and helped us make some great food choices. First off, the Rosemary Potato Bread as a appetizer is a can't miss. It is served with both a sweet and a traditional butter selection that each completely changes the taste experience--try 'em both, because they are equally scrumptious. We had both the salmon and Mahi Mahi specials. In particular, I tried the Mahi served with roasted cauliflower and I've gotta admit that at first I was a bit hesitant about the idea of fish topped with pistachios and crazins. Well, it turned out to be crazy amazing, so from an alliteration standpoint the toppings were perfect! Honestly, despite my travels on both US coasts and countless seafood dinners at a variety of high end restaurant, I'd absolutely put this Mahi dish in the top ten all time. Just incredibly delicious bite after bite. Then even made the cauliflower taste delicious, and I am not one to voluntarily order cauliflower very often. I also had a bowl of the Seafood Chowder and it was absolutely packed with seafood bite after bite. I did add a bit of hot sauce to it to give it a little kick, but if you're not into that the chowder is plenty tasty as served. Summing it up, Wildfin is a heckuva catch, and a great addition to the Riverton food scene ... but how about adding a location in Holladay?!?

Great location located in a busy shopping area. The waitress was so nice and spent time going over the menus and drinks. The restaurant itself was clean and good for cocktail parties or casual nights with friends. I ordered the salmon. My brother ordered the shrimp and grits. I enjoyed my food. I did have to add a little salt. I am from the south. Ultimately I liked the freshness of the fish and the quality of the food.

    Fondue
    Chalese P.

Not awful... but definitely not in a hurry to come back. The Cheese Fondue was really yummy and came with a lot of options to dip. We ordered the non-alcoholic spritzer and the blackberry basil lemonade and both were super strong (not in a good way). The potential was there, but we had to pour in extra water to dilute it because it tasted like straight-up syrup. The entrees were just not impressive. They looked beautiful. The presentation was great, however, it just wasn't anything special. It was anticlimactic! The Sockeye Salmon was good but not super flavorful, in my opinion. My husband ordered the fish and chips and enjoyed them. They are served with a chowder that had potential but was super salty. My mother in law ordered the Ahi Tuna salad. She thought it was good but the dressing wasn't what she was hoping for. The only other thing I'll say is that we came in at 7pm on a Friday and they were already out of halibut, king salmon, clams, scallops, and ginger beer. It just felt a little crazy that they were missing so many items on their menu. I don't think 7pm is late enough to be running out of things, but good for them for staying busy! We are typically pretty easy to please, but this was just not our favorite!

This is an upscale, trendy seafood place that is bringing a little culture and culinary diversity to the southwest corner of Salt Lake County. Tonight my wife and I visited for the first time and were pleasantly surprised to find such a restaurant close to home. We both ordered the special-halibut with a pistachio crust. It had a creamy sauce on top and a side of zucchini and squash. Overall, it was good-but not something I would probably order again. I think it's just a personal preference, not anything wrong with the food itself. We both drank water and had no appetizers or additional items and our bill was $85. A bit steep for a casual dinner, but I'd splurge and come here for a special occasion. Our server was unintrusive and low key. She was friendly enough, but not overly chatty. Something else of note-this restaurant has a full bar, something not a lot of other places in the area can boast about. So if you want a nice meal paired with an adult bevvy, Wildfin has you covered.

I was impressed. Didn't expect much from bar food, but this was really good food…read more I had the fish and chips. The fish was very good. Good sized planks, three of them, with fresh tasting fish. The waitress asked if I wanted malt vinegar when taking my order. A very good sign. It came with a very good cole slaw, sliced thin and with an excellent creamy dressing. One of the best slaws I've ever eaten. The fries were excellent. It also came with tartar sauce, of course. Best tartar sauce I've ever had in my life. Seriously. I never eat fish and chips with tartar sauce, it has to be malt vinegar in every bite or it's sacrilegious. But this tartar sauce--wow. I alternated bites between the tartar sauce and the vinegar because I couldn't decide which I liked better. I took home what was left of the sauce so that my wife could taste it. She agreed that it was excellent. This was a board meeting for our club. Others had the steak salad, fish tacos, bacon wrapped hot dog, chicken teriyaki lo mein...other items that I don't know what they ordered. But all around me said what they were eating was very good. There were some nachos passed around, the Station Nachos: "House Made Tortilla Chips, Fresh Queso, Four Cheese Blend, Citrus Pickled Onions, and Pico de Gallo." It was very good. The place is a bar restaurant and the interior was comfortable enough. It was a bit noisy for the older folk in our club to hear each other for a meeting, but that's the way it is. Our server was efficient, though I was wondering about the order and time it took for the different items, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Our party of 15 got all of our food in good time. The waitress was friendly and efficient, but we were in a different large room and I think she was also waiting on tables in the main room. As such, I didn't get checked on my soft drink for refill. Not a biggie as I didn't need one. Pleasant surprise at the quality here. I would definitely return. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Bonus points for being able to accommodate larger groups. They can handle parties of 10, which is not always easy to find. We're already planning to come back to play pool and check out their weekend brunch. Highly recommend.

First, the food took a long time to get to us I'm sure the burgers are made to order but, it seemed longer than usual. The next reason is although the food had good flavor I didn't feel like I got what I paid for. For $20 I wish the burger to bun ratio was more even. The burger was 1/3 the size of the bun. Perhaps a mistake was made and it was the pub size? I was charged for the stack size so if that's what you get it's pretty small. Also I upgraded to the onion rings and I literally got 5 they were crispy but maybe a little too crispy. I get that profit margins for restaurants are slim but it seemed like everything was skimped on. The place had a cool vibe and the beverages look great. I was overall disappointed with the skimpiness.

The Double Smash burger was incredible! $27 is pretty high, but it lasted me for two meals! Ha! Fries were so yummy, and I loved the fry sauce that tasted of mango--different than my usual fry sauce, but I LOVED it! We also tried the Massaman curry, the crab & cream cheese rolls, steamed dumplings--all so delicious! I also ordered some mango chicken for the next day, which rewarmed a bit dry, but would've been better fresh, I'm sure. The coconut ice cream was yummy, too! Negatives: 1 - There is no menu to hold nor on the wall. Customers must scan the QR codes on each table to review the menu on our phones, which isn't ideal, IMO. Had to pull out my readers! 2 - It was quite noisy in the restaurant with no dividers or soft surfaces (super hard chairs for a 2-hr visit with a friend, but probably by design so you turn over the table/don't stick around too long. Busy on a Wednesday night. 3 - This is the only location! I live an hour away (Davis County), so getting there as often as I'd like isn't feasible. Big bummer! I've been craving it since I was there 2+ weeks ago! If you're in Herriman, consider yourself super fortunate!!
