Falafel sandwich. Photographing a pocket sandwich is awkward.

Yum. This is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. My family has falafel sandwiches and hand cut fries. The falafel was very flavorful and not too fried tasting, which is a problem at other places. I loved the hummus, veggies, and sauce. The hand cut fries were pretty good, but weren't really hot. It seemed like they had been sitting quite awhile. However, we came on big truck day at the MJCC, so they were very busy.

Oh my! I've been wanting to try this place since I use the JCC occasionally. It's amazing! I got the Falafel Pita Sandwich and it was so good and filling! Comes with a what I assume is homemade pita (I don't know for sure tho), hummus at the bottom, shredded cabbage, mixed tomato salad, falafel patties (I think there were three but might have been four) and tahini sauce. It was phenomenal! A bit messy to eat but holy crap so good! I'll be back next week for a kofta beyond burger plate.

Ate there twice at Zidell Yards events. Nice people. Yummy falaffal sandwich, and vegan too! Thanks for being there for us!

John's Marketplace - Veggie burger innards shot. Super tasty! I was wondering about the barley, carrot, and celery mix, but it tasted just like a Boca burger!

This place is retro, shabby, comfy, and delightful. Here in the heart of the Oregon craft beer…read morescene, this place is the flagship of all things sold that come in a sealed container. Thousands of options here in one gigantic marketplace, and something for everyone! The marketplace itself is quite dated. Yet it is eclectic and quirky. It is welcoming and irrefutably very memorable. There is a dedicated area to serve beer on tap with a list of about 12 options and then there is a restaurant with a limited menu. Mostly things like burgers, sandwiches, and other common pub fair. There are vegetarian options available. When your order is ready, they use an overhead mic that is resemblance of something that you would hear over the loudspeaker at an 80s rollerskating rink. On site, there are bathrooms and areas for seating that include bar tops, high tops, and even a couple of comfy couches. There is an outdoor patio that is very inviting during the warmer months of the year. Ultimately, this is an incredibly impressive presentation of beverages. Perhaps even something that some people would consider a museum of sorts. Either way, there is definitely choices for everyone, and this is an establishment that can't be missed. Yes, you can visit the other location on Powell, but nothing will ever match up to the original location here in Multnomah village. An experience, a chance to shop and stockpile some beer, but truly a showcase of excellence in beer culture in the heart of our city.

This was my 3rd time here: Pros: Their sourdough bread was good when I tried a few months ago. Nice atmosphere Decent service Cons: A few pastries of theirs I have tried in the past fell short for me. Just didn't taste good. Either too greasy, or the taste was off. Cranberry Almond scone, recently purchased, fell short for me. Way too dense and too sweet. It would make a decent cookie. Buckwheat and seed scone also fell short. Way too dense and dry, too sweet. Also would make a decent cookie. Scones are supposed to be dense, but not as dense and not as sweet. At least the traditional scones. Lemon poppy seed rugelach was not good. It had a hint of rancidity and bitterness from poppyseeds. Poppy seeds taste bitter when they are either incorrectly processed or improperly stored. Rancidity happens when poppy seeds are old. It's a very specific taste that cannot be mistaken with anything else. Tried the bites of Stollen laid out for people to try. It just didn't taste good. Dry, flavorless.

Their white harvest bread is so fantastic for sandwiches. Take that loaf straight home, toast it and make yourself a BLT and thank me later. Coffee run and croissants are always a win (ham and guyere croissants are also soooo good)
