Blueberry lavender lemonade and mango passion fruit juice
    Alva I.

I was greeted with a warm welcome right away by Alex. Very clean area and very nice staff. I was intrigued by their drink menu. I got the lavender blueberry lemonade and the mango passion fruit juice. Next time I will definitely be trying their food. I can't wait to come back. Open seating indoors and outdoors and plenty of street parking.

Curry of the day and rice
    Dexter D.

Sometimes I walk around in a daze, overwhelmed by all the sights and sounds around me. That must have been what happened to me here. I thought that I had ordered the Curry of the Day. I paid and got a buzzer. When the buzzer went off, I went and picked up my food. It came in two containers. Once with the curry, the other with the rice. Excellent service. We had picked up food to create a mini-international buffet which we took to our friend's house. When we laid everything out, the Sushi went first. After that, it was whatever was closest but nothing else could touch the sushi in quality or selection. I'm not sure that anyone actually touched the Curry. I know that no one touched the rice. I guess I failed here because I didn't at least try it before we left for our hotel. I'm a Curry Freak. Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, sweet and mild or sweat inducing spicy, with or without coconut milk. However, looking at this curry, without stirring it up, it offered no hints as to what was hiding beneath the surface. I'm sure that I probably ordered Shrimp as the protein and expected to see some shrimp or veg poking out of the sauce but no. That's why I'm giving a neutral rating of 3*.

    Larb chicken dish

I can't remember the name of this dish but it's in my photo. The larb chicken thing is so amazing delicious. We love the mango and the pink lady drink. Can't wait to try the donuts in the winter

    Kao Yum Gai Zap
    Ploy N.

The flavor and spice of the Kao Yum Gai Zap hit the spot good! Super good portion for price and tasty as heck. The flavor of the larb came through strongly. Combined with warm fluffy rice and the dish was a killer. Super fresh ingredients too.

Adorable side of rice they made for my four year old. She was beyond delighted!

Yum! We had red and yellow curry, coconut prawns and Thai donuts. Everything was delicious. The curry was super flavorful, creamy, and just the right amount of spice to make you want just another bite. I'll be back again and again.

Best fried chicken I've had in a long time! Super crispy and extremely flavorful. Be sure to get there early or the wait time gets long pretty as it's just one cook inside.

    Mango curry with tofu
    Linda P.

I loved everything about it! Food was delicious, the chef was friendly, and the portion was plenty. I had the leftover for another meal at home. We both got the curry (1 Panang, 1 Mango) with tofu. Tofu is fried and has great texture even in the sauce. Both curry were a bit sweet. Panang had a good spicy kick.

Both sandwiches had great tasting moist chicken and not dry. Dungeness crab wonton were super yummy, with or without the sweet chili sauce. It was great either way Cajun calamari had great taste. All the Cajun dishes pretty much had the same flavor. None were spicier than the other and we're consistent Strawberry rhubarb and scoop of ice cream was fantastic. Despite the crowd, the service was excellent from start to finish and the food came out timely and hot. We ordered: * Tomato Basil Bisque Au Gratin -- $10.90 (outstanding) * Dungeness Crab & Spinach Risotto -- $48.00 (fresh, rich, and easily the highlight of the meal) * Maine Sea Scallop Cavatappi -- $42.00 * Cajun Calamari -- $14.90 * Tanqueray Dirty Gin Martini -- $13.00 * Key Lime Pie -- $9.00 * Two fountain sodas -- $7.00 The food across the board tasted fresh and well prepared. The tomato basil soup was incredible -- creamy, balanced, and comforting -- and the Dungeness crab with risotto was the standout dish of the night. The calamari (and okra) were just okay -- not bad, just nothing memorable compared to the rest. The only real knock was the cocktails. My dirty gin martini came in a very small glass, only filled about ¾ full, and the quality just didn't match the kitchen. For a seafood place doing everything else right, that was surprising. Total bill before tip: $144.80 Overall though, great neighborhood spot with excellent service and strong seafood. I'd definitely return and look forward to trying more dishes -- next time I might skip the cocktail and stick to wine or beer.

To be honest, when our plans to go bowling and have lunch at Big Al's today fell through because…read morethey didn't open till 3, but we still wanted to eat (and hadn't had breakfast yet at 1:30), I tried every option I could think of to not go to Bannings. When we moved to Oregon, it was under construction but we kept hearing how good it was - in fact, all the local FB pages would gush about it when a newcomer would ask about the best restaurant. And once it finally opened, we tried it, but it was kind of like Marie calendars and Shari's, but local. Ok, but not what we had expected for all the hype. So, after trying a handful of options it seemed Bannings was the only place we could still get breakfast so I begrudgingly agreed. Well, I was mistaken! I got the breakfast enchiladas and a strawberry orange mimosa. Now, the mimosa - I'll get that out of the way first. It was weird - it looked curdled. It just had mashed strawberry at the bottom and it actually was quite good. I'd do a normal mimosa in the future, but good. But the enchiladas - delicious. Like, I'll come back again and again for those. And they didn't charge me extra for the avocado, which I think is righteous because I asked for no hash browns. But not all places would do that, they'd nickel and dime even if you passed on one side for another. Additionally; my husband likes a savory breakfast and a sweet one too - so he often gets two breakfasts and though he may not eat all of both he gets that savory and sweet. Well, the omelettes come with 3 pancakes. Perfection. And, I took 3 bites of them - I usually might try 1 or not at all - they are very very good. Last - it did not break the bank. I've about ruled out breakfast out because of how crazy expensive the places that should be reasonable are. This was reasonable - PLEASE DONT CHANGE!! All in all 5 stars, will be back for breakfast; and hey - when I'm wrong I can admit I was wrong! Give them a try if you haven't!

They were rubbery and chewy but not grainy like gf tends to be. They were fluffy. Overall I'd have preferred regular pancakes. The waitress suggested them to me instead of the French toast which she told me wasn't very good and vegan French toast is hard to do (not true I do it at home... but appreciate the honesty). The tempeh bacon, tofu scramble, and sausage was also applauded at the table but I didn't personally try it. I found the chicken too chewy but others like it. The carrot cake was good but the icing is a lot. Very rich and sweet. I'm probably the only person who likes a more savory icing everyone else liked the cake but agreed you couldn't eat a whole slice yourself. the coffee was great and they kept refilling in true diner style.
