My fiancée went into this shop hoping to get a haircut as a walk in. They told her they had an opening in a bit, so she asked for the price, which was more than she expected but didn't say no immediately. Maybe a few minutes later after leaving to think about it, she came back in and confirmed. They supposedly slotted her down for that time. During this time, she left for a brief moment to get a drink and then came back to wait the rest. They let her wait there for over 30 minutes until the allotted time passed, and she asked if they were ready. Mind you, my fiancée already felt immediately uncomfortable and judged the moment she walked in. I was on the phone with her the entire time. So you'd think that she got the haircut, right? Nope. Turns out, they thought she had left and wouldn't come back (which she did, very shortly after leaving briefly), so they scheduled over her. Without telling her. On top of that, the woman who told her this decided it would be appropriate to "get down to her level" by crouching. She is not a child. Considering my fiancée is very sweet and doesn't like confrontation, I decided to be the one that wrote this for her. Heavily disappointed in this salon and angered at the ridiculous, disrespectful treatment my fiancée got. This salon is beyond unprofessional to newcomers and does not create a warm or comfortable environment. This time, I scheduled at 10:30 and Garbo's called me at 10 to let me know she is running behind and they could put me with another stylist or I would have to set up another appointment for another day. Shellac mani/pedi. Both services were awful. Uneven paint job on my fingers, tech only used one layer of color on my fingernails, overpainted the topcoat which ended up on my cuticles which equals the polish pealed right up. Pretty much same results on my toes. It cost me $140 and didn't even last a week. Would NOT recommend. read more

I love Garbos! This location is the biggest out of all of them. They offer everything from a new hair do to massages. I have only ever gotten my hair done. My hairdresser Sam Dolan is the best! (Yes, she really is.) I have gone to Sam twice and always leave feeling so great and confident about myself. She is friendly and knows what she is talking about. My favorite part about Sam is she gives me her honest opinion. I'll bring in a picture and she always tells me her expert opinion to make it better and work for my hair. I would much rather my hair dresser do this than know I won't like my hair once it is done. This is how I know she is great at her job. I went there to do my hair and I choose the higher level,the receptionist said she's a level 7 so I pick her. I want to make sure I will have a better result that's why I chose a higher level ,but unfortunately my hair turn out darker. I told the person that did my hair I want it to make it lighter. She even told me my hair will come out very light, but it didn't. I am not happy how my hair turned out. And also she left me in the shower sink for like 15 minutes did not say anything that she's leaving so my neck/ head was hangin in the sink . I originally went in to get my hair done in Feb 2022. I asked for bayalage and had a picture for reference. I asked for a more experienced person since I didnt get exactly what I wanted prior. When I left, my hair looked awful. It was basically white highlights that looked like something Christina Aguilera rocked in the early 2000s. The stylist basically dyed my hair dark brown and add white chunky highlights. It was embarrassing. They were chunky over processed highlights. She also only spent few mins cutting my hair as well because it was getting late. I had a few pieces that werent even close to being even and I trimmed them on my own. I contacted the manager and the owner. They assured me that they would have someone else fix it. I went back in about 2-3 weeks later and someone else worked on my hair. My hair looked better at the time but I was nervous the brown hair dye they used to cover the awful highlights would wear off. It mostly did. What was left after about 2 -3 weeks was shimmery copper highlights. I was in the middle of moving and a lot of other things so I just threw my hands up and thought "oh well, just not going back there again". Then.....my hair started breaking off a lot where the blonde/copper highlights were on the top of my head. I have tons of short hairs that stick straight up now. My hair is so dry from being over processed. I'm left with thick copper highlights on top with crazy short hairs sticking up all over. And then blonde on the bottom. What really made me mad is that a few weeks ago, I did engagement pictures. I just got the pictures back, and my hair looks awful. The high lights look so cheap like I did them on my own at home with a blindfold on. I knew it was bad, but I didn't know how bad bc I don't really see the side of my head. Any picture from the side felt unusable. This is not my first bad experience, but its the first that I felt just angry about the results. The owner said I could come back if I didn't like the results from my 2nd apt, but how can I go back when they have already damaged my hair so much? I'm left with something that cant really be fixed. $200 for destroyed hair..... read more

We didn't have an appointment for a hair cut today, but Garbo's was able to get my son in for a haircut before school starts on Thursday. Friendly service and very clean place. The stylist was very nice and did a wonderful job on his hair cut. She was current with kids hipster cuts. Looks like we will be back next time he needs a cut. read more

I came here about 4 months ago and got balayage done by Molly and it looked great!! However, two days ago I went for a retouch and Molly was not available, so I made an appointment with Emily. She ruined my hair!! I asked to go lighter and for a retouch, but when she bleached my hair, she bleached a dot on the front of my hair, so she "fixed it" by double bleaching the front of my hair. MY HAIR TURNED WHITE AND THE REST OF MY HAIR IS BROWN AND BRIGHT YELLOW! It looks so bad!! I have never felt so bad about my hair before. I only recommend going to Molly. $124 to the trash because now I have to dye my hair back to brown. read more

I came here for a simple cute while on a business trip. My hair isn't high maintenance, just wanted a few inches cut off and some layers. Kelsee was my stylist and she was wonderful. So friendly, but not overbearing. For my fellow introverts-she kept a decent flow of conversation going but it didn't feel forced and there were easy lulls. It's important to me that a hair stylist read their clients and their moods/personalities, and Kelsee did that perfectly. She really listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, and let me check in throughout to make sure it was going the way I wanted. I don't use any products, but know I could benefit from them (natural blonde-fine hair with no style holding ability lol). So we discussed the products she used while styling, explaining their purpose and how to use them. Then she helped me pick out a few. Now, she wasn't pushy, which is a huge turn off to me. I don't like feeling pressured into buying thing I know I'll never use. She wasn't like that, she simply showed me what she used and her recommendations. I wound up buying a couple travel-size items so I wasn't making too much commitment to using products lol Overall, I'm so happy with my visit and will definitely be back if I'm in the area again. They also have a spa area, which I would love to check out in the future again. The salon was clean and well-kept, inviting, and everyone I spoke with was super friendly.
