Reception got me a same day appointment, and a few days later I received a card in the mail welcoming me to the practice. My appointments were always with Dr. Campbell who treated me and my cat with kindness, compassion, and truly cared about the wellbeing of my cat. She would call me to follow up in between visits, was amazing at breaking down bloodwork results and explaining possible prognoses, treatments, etc. in terms that a person outside of the veterinary field would understand. She also takes the behavior and physical signs of the animal into account. She doesn't just rely on bloodwork results and blindly prescribe mediation, which is what I dealt with at a different practice. During the 1 month while we were treating my cat, I was coming to the office about once a week, and during this time Dr. Campbell was going to be out for a week. She emailed me while she was out to check in on how my cat was doing, which shows how dedicated she is to the treatment of her clients. Unfortunately, my cat did wind up passing away, but not due to any lack of medical care. When I called the office to let them know, and to inquire about cremation options, reception was very sympathetic and Dr. Campbell personally called me to express her condolences. A few days after his passing, I received a sympathy card in the mail signed by all staff, even staff I had never interacted with. When I went back to the office 2 weeks later to pick up my cat's paw print, reception was again apologetic for my loss. I will forever recommend Dr. Campbell to any cat owner (she also treats pocket pets, rabbits, etc.) I told her in person that she was meant for this job and I really meant it. I brought my cat to this veterinary practice for nearly a year after she began repeatedly reopening a wound on her abdominal pouch area. From the beginning, I expressed concerns that the issue could be related to food or environmental allergies. Over the course of ten months, I spent thousands of dollars on appointments, testing, injections, medications, and treatments, hoping to find answers and relief for my cat. Despite all of this, my cat remained in a cone for almost ten months with little to no improvement. I was often given explanations that did not address the root cause of her condition, and when I called with questions or concerns, I frequently felt dismissed rather than supported. The communication and professionalism I experienced from both staff and providers were disappointing. They would never call me back or take DAYS to respond. I never experienced that elsewhere! The most alarming part of this experience was discovering that my cat had been prescribed a steroid dosage that multiple veterinarians later told me was significantly higher than what would typically be prescribed for a cat of her size and weight. I was shocked and devastated. Fortunately, I knew in my gut these steroids were no good. However, she has since developed diabetes and liver inflammation--both serious conditions that can be associated with prolonged steroid use. Seeking a second opinion ultimately changed everything. Another veterinarian referred me to a veterinary dermatologist who has been incredible. She thoroughly reviewed my cat's history, listened to my concerns, and has gone above and beyond to help her. What hurts most is that at no point did I feel there was transparency about the potential risks and side effects of the treatment plan, nor was there any acknowledgment that my cat's case may have required a specialist much sooner. Multiple veterinarians who reviewed her records expressed concern regarding the treatment approach. We were finally able to speak with Dr. Cedar, who admitted that he was not familiar enough with Tally's condition. He also claimed that we were supposed to wean her off her prescription medication, despite never providing any instructions, guidance, or follow-up regarding that process. Whenever I called the office with questions or concerns, it was nearly impossible to get assistance--staff would either tell me no one was available, leave me on hold for extended periods, or the call would be disconnected. Ps: One final frustration was learning that our family was supposedly eligible for a discount because both our cat and family dog were patients of the practice. Instead of proactively applying it or informing us, I was told that I needed to specifically ask for it. Disgraceful!

From the very beginning, Dr. Kamran was so incredibly kind, taking an immense amount of time and care to explain every single part of the surgery and the recovery process with us. To our absolute amazement, he called us every single night and morning after Finn's surgery just to check in on his recovery. That level of dedication is unheard of! Una's Emergency Care Then, just five days later, the unthinkable happened. One of our cats, Una, required an emergency cystotomy--and Dr. Kamran performed it on Memorial Day! Her recovery has been a bit more complicated since we found out she suffers from FLUTD. However, both Dr. Kamran and Dr. Infernuso took great care and time to explain the condition to us and guide us through it. An Incredible Support System It's been a very stressful few weeks for us dealing with the surgeries and recoveries of two of our beloved babies at the same time. But Dr. Kamran and the entire staff have been absolutely incredible! No matter the time of day or night, someone has always been there to answer our questions and ease our worries. A Huge Thank You! The assistant was so nice and the doctor was very caring and gentle with my dog. I had xrays done it was explained my dog and a fractured hip and a torn ACL. With a dedicated appointment, these people made my cat wait 12 hours and continued to bump him for other patients without having any intake, questions, or indication what was wrong to have any understanding where he fell in the ranking order of priority. My cat could have had a fatal obstruction, but they priorotized dogs while making all the cats wait needlessly in pain. Their poor patient management and improper staffing (1 vet & 1 tech for a massive practice for a full 24 hour shift on a Saturday) is what prevented my cat from getting critical care from another more equipped vet earlier in the day due to their inability to manage their bandwidth. I was patient and waited 12 hours and opted for an appointment that I was told I would definitely have if I waited and came in later in the day, so I took it. I sat in the waiting room for three hours as I listened to the receptionist lie from one patient to the next that was calling or walking in saying they had multiple urgent animals in the back (they had one dog in an oxygen chamber). She repeatedly told customers the vet was "in over her head" and was turning people away. A fully alert dog with no visible injuries and showing zero signs of distress was whisked away ahead of my cat who is suffering in pain for an unknown cause. When I shared my frustrations with the receptionist, the veterinarian, who was supposedly caring to the "urgent" dog that was taken ahead of me only 3 minutes earlier, managed to step away from her "critical" care of the animal to come out and scream at me and make a scene in front of the whole waiting room. It was beyond unprofessional and if it was my animal that was supposedly critical, and she diverted her attention away to come out and chastise a pet owner for advocating for their own animal's health and well being rather than tending to my critical pet, I would question that veterinarian's judgment and oath to do no harm. Only someone with major impulse control issues would be unable to control their temper that they"d step away from such a supposedly "critical" case like that. The other cat that was forced to wait too was there a week earlier with a major jaw abscess infection they failed to heal and she was also waiting hours. It was clear the vet prioritizes dog care over cat care. Just walking inside the walls are filled with dog images only, no other pets. Their merchandise is for dogs only: bowls, leashes, toys, etc! Go on the website, the images, all dogs. The vet isn't smart enough to know she's showing her bias right in her marketing of the practice. They couldn't handle the caseload, and canine care outranked feline. The receptioniat assessed each dog coming in, but didn't even take one look in my cats direction. Dog owners were questioned upon entry, cat owners were told "the wait would be a while and to sit inside". PetOne is not equipped to run the type of business they present themselves to be. They never should have made my appointment if they couldn't manage the patient load and should have told me an appointment is not guaranteed, and that they are taking dogs over cats in order of priority. That failure of critical patient care prevented my cat from getting medical care hours earlier from a more reputable and capable facility as I had called at 10 am and had all day to seek out an alternative had I known my appointment wasn't real. This practice when they were located in Valley Stream had more legal services on staff than they did actual vets. They had so many legal issues, they were forced to retain full time council at one point to keep up with the case load of legions of unhappy customers/patients. Do your research on Central Vet in Valley Stream before you make the decision to bring your pet to PetOne. Their reputation is trash, just like the vet who stepped away from patient care to make a scene and yell at a human advocating for their animal.

I already knew this was gonna get fishy. Callbacks happened a couple times until finally they concluded that my dog needs a blood test to refill a Trazodone prescription. What? Since when? She didnt need one in the past. MONEY GRAB ALERT! Totally bogus information. Google it. Dogs dont require a blood test for a Trazodone prescription. Any time the visit was with Guzman, there was always "something we should consider". Take a sample of a bump and send to a lab. Do a full panel of blood test after she already had a clean bill of health (Oh but if you act now, we can get it for a cheaper price). Blood test to refill a prescription. Im sure he has an exclusive contract with the lab and is committed to filling quotas. That's how they work. Additionally, my neighbors had a sick cat last year. They asked me if I knew of a vet. I sent them to Assissi. Neighbors were told the cat needed to stay the night. Next morning, neighbors called to setup picking up the cat. Cat died. Initially was told the cat choked on his own vomit. Neighbors asked why didnt anyone help? They were told that no one stays there overnight. What? Then why did the cat need to stay the night? To make matters worse, they were handed a massive bill...all to have them kill my neighbors cat...from their first visit to Assissi through my recommendation. I was turned off from that story and was thinking of leaving then. Well after this Trazodone BS, we're confirmed to part. I can toss a stone in any direction and hit a vet, there are so many. Money grab tactics will lose in the end. Nothing bad to say about the front desk or the technicians. They were always awesome. Just stay away from their boss. Money grab!

My husband dropped her off at 8:30AM, I get a text saying she is recovering around 2PM. 15 mins later my husband calls me frantically saying they are doing CPR on Peaches. I'm confused now since I recieved a text saying shes recovering. I call the vet and the receptionist also says they are doing CPR. I ask to speak to the vet, and the vet asks if I would like her to continue CPR. She informed me that have been doing CPR for 25 mins, at this point I realize Peaches is dead and I tell them to stop CPR. I asked why this happened, the vet responds with because shes a brachycephalic dog. My husband works only two blocks from me so we both leave work and head to the vet together. I'm crying my eyes out because Peaches was my first child, my husband is distraught but has to keep it together since we are driving. Peaches had no other health issues besides constipation, she should not have died. We get to the vet, the receptionist says sorry for your loss and points us to a room where they had Peaches body. The vet does not come to us at any point to say she is sorry or to go over the events as to what lead to Peaches untimely death. I shouldn't have lost my little girl. She went in for a simple procedure. This practice has no compassion and its all a money making business. See the attached photos to this review, the text message saying she is recovering (clearly she never recovered so it was misleading), the bill (for the enema which I have no idea if they did and the charge for CPR), and a picture of Peaches. I purchased her from a reputable breeder specifically so that she would not have any breathing issues. So in short, if you plan to take your pet there for a procedure that requires anesthesia, think again. You may leave with a dead body instead.
