Garden Place Suites surprised me! The room design was delightful. Cozy living room space. The sofa was a twin size but met our needs. The Queen: king bed was a bit small but comfy. The full size refrigerator is awesome. Spacious bathroom. The hospitality is wonderful. Happy hour, breakfast with real silverware and glass juice cups. They have a menu showing what is offered for breakfast throughout the week. I enjoyed my chorizo potatoes and eggs with my everything bagel. I highly recommend this hotel. I know I've been here in the past, and this place consistently stays at a high-level. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are large and roomy and reasonably priced. They have a happy hour with a soup/salad bar at night. That includes two free drinks. It's clean comfortable, and the gym is very doable. Clean hotel, good location, quiet, has all the necessary amenities. I rarely stay at hotels that are not "name brand" (due to some bad past experiences), but glad we discovered and stayed at Garden Place Suites. The location is very convenient, nearby to many businesses and restaurants in town. They are actually nearly across the street from the Fort Huachuca base entrance, so we noticed a lot of soldiers and civilian guests who were working on the base. We stayed here as a base for visiting Tombstone and Bisbee, which worked out quite well (only a 30 minute drive to each.) The staff were friendly and helpful, and the entire place seemed clean and well-cared for. The property does seem a bit dated, e.g. the furniture in our room was well used. But nothing was broken or in disrepair, in fact everything worked well and the room was very comfortable. I enjoyed the reclining chair in the evenings. The room included a kitchenette with an apartment-sized fridge and a two burner stove. Would be a good set up for an extended stay. Also found it to be a very quiet room; even though the hotel is close to a couple streets, we never heard any serious traffic noise, nor did we hear our neighbors. They include a pretty standard breakfast buffet, nothing special but good enough to fuel up before starting the day. They also have an afternoon snacks and drinks reception, but we never tried while there. One important navigation note: Google maps continually wanted to route us to access the hotel via Buffalo Soldier Drive. This is NOT possible; you need to enter from Garden Avenue. This place is very clean with great service. The cleanliness shows throughout the hotel. I would say the hotel is less expensive because the furnishings are dated, but if you're looking for reasonable rates with a clean and comfortable room, then this is it. I was worried about staying here, but decided to go for it after reading other reviews. There weren't many recent pictures on those reviews so I decided to take some of my room for others to see. We were so impressed upon checking in. They offer a happy hour, one drink each and snacks. When we went into the dining room there were a few leafs of lettuce. We passed. One elevator was out of order so we used the other one. The room was very nice til we tried to sleep. The bed was so jiggly we disrupted each others sleep all night. Road noise is horrendous, keep your windows closed. The room has a refrigerator that was incredibly loud that we had to unplug it to hear the tv and then to sleep. We arrived for breakfast at 7:15am. We got the last two bagels and half cup of coffee. I had to ask the front desk if more food was coming "we'll get that started". The utensils were dirty, disgusting. Along with another family, we went through them and opted for the plastic. We waited 15-20 minutes for the food to be replenished.The vending machine was also out of order. After staying a few other places in Sierra Vista, THIS is my favorite hotel in town. It's super clean, has a hot breakfast, evening happy hour, fitness center, clean and working swimming pool and spa, a business center, ample parking, AND friendly service. It's located very close to the military base. The rooms have kitchenettes that are clean and working. The complimentary toiletries are organic or natural. The rooms have a lot of tv working channels in which to choose. The rooms even have short walls next to the bed in the large, cozy rooms for your kids to jump off of onto the beds!! There are countless personal touches in the decor, and extras like a popcorn machine, a beautiful lounge, and high chairs. You can see the quality of management come through their employees. We were so impressed with this hotel & our only complaint is that there are not more of them in other places we love to travel to in Arizona. First of all it was very affordable. Seemed newly built, very well kept & very clean, probably the cleanest feeling overnight stay we've had anywhere. What a surprise! Booked two rooms for a Sierra Vista visit to attend a dear friends Celebration of Life. The front attendants were very friendly and helpful. Even offered us a libation after check in. Rooms were spacious, clean and cool. Along with a kitchenette, microwave, frig, sink and coffee maker. The bathrooms were clean and had plenty of towels. The shower water was nice and hot even during the busy morning rush hour. Easy to access the main road and nearby restaurants and entertainment. Complementary snacks, soda and water bottles. Complementary breakfast had a large selection of breakfast items, drinks and coffee. The outdoor pool/Jacuzzi area is clean and spacious. The patio is even equipped with a gas barbecue. I was surprised that even though this location resides in between two roads, I didn't hear any outdoor road noise. Overall I really enjoyed this location at a relatively moderate value. Next time we visit Sierra Vista I will be sure to stay at this location. Thank you staff and attendants, for making our visit memorable. You rock! read more

This place was a very pleasant surprise. Because the price is so reasonable, I didn't expect it to be as nice as it is. It is well appointed and the rooms are very comfortable. The kitchenette was basic, but you could make a full meal if you didn't want to go out. We loved the complimentary cocktails. It was so quiet and peaceful and the staff were helpful. The breakfast buffet wasn't extensive, but it was far better than many I have encountered. This is an excellent place and great value. This place is a diamond in the rough. You get quality suite type rooms for a moderate price. I loved it here! I never had heard of this place before and was kind of wary of it at first but it was the only hotel we can find that had vacancy on Valentine's Eve. When we first checked in around 10 pm, the whole lobby was empty. Like a scene of a horror movie empty. But the front desk staff member was just chilling on the couch watching Fast & Furious since there was no guests. Which is cool with us since he attended us right away and quickly. We got to our room and were in awe of the digs. Our room had a kitchen, living room area, and a soft luxurious bed! Everything was very clean and new. For breakfast there was eggs, cereal, pastries, toast, waffles, milk, OJ, and coffee. I think the best part about it is the view when you're eating your breakfast. I was looking for a hotel that was close to Bisbee, AZ. I looked at Yelp and Trip Advisor for the best reviews. I quickly eliminated all the chain hotels as they all seemed to have some type of issue. I was left with the Garden Place Suites and Gateway Studio Suites. During my search I found that these hotels were actually "sister hotels". I decided on Garden Place Suites as they had a kitchenette and a balcony. The check-in was very easy. The front desk staff informed me of their FREE happy hour AND what they were serving for a FREE dinner. They had fixings for Nachos and dinner was chili. The room was a good size. King size bed and a twin sized sleeper/sofa chair. Perfect size for the grandkid. There was a small dividing wall between her sleeping area and me and my husband. The kitchenette area had a two burner cooking top, dishes, large refrigerator, coffee pot. The next morning my granddaughter and I woke up about 9am. I knew that breakfast ending at 9 and the kid was bummed that she missed out on her favorite hotel travel food (belgian waffles). My husband took her downstairs about 9:15 hoping that there was still waffle fixings. (When we have stayed at the chain hotels when they say "breakfast available till 9" they mean 9 and no later). My granddaughter came back to our room about 30 minutes later and was happy to have had a belgian waffle!!! It was nice to know that Garden Place Suites was not so stringent in their breakfast hours. Check out the next day was a breeze and the morning staff was just as happy and smiling as the check in staff the night before. The only thing I would change are the pillows... they are kinda big. I would definately recommend Garden Place Suites to anyone traveling in the Sierra Vista area. It is only 30 minutes from Bisbee. It is a great place to stay if you want to look around the area for a few days!! read more

We are visiting Sierra Vista for the first time and depended upon reviews for picking a place to stay. This hotel is outstanding, clean, and comfortable. It has a kitchenette in each suite, a nice workout room, pool, and spa. Drinks are available with a light dinner each night. One is free for each person and more can be paid for. The customer service was good and it is well located outside the base gates and nearly on Fry. This hotel was wonderful! The location is good for seeing other places in Arizona like tombstone and Tucson. Inside the room I had I was pleasantly surprised by the full kitchenette! Full size fridge with a microwave and sink. The comfort of the room was incredible as well. There was a recliner, a mini sofa and the comfy bed. The TV had direct tv as well. I had a room with a view of the pool and the mountains so that was the cherry on top. The room and bathroom was very clean! I didn't feel anxious at all about crawling into bed at night. The bathroom was stocked with towels and shower things and I was very comfortable using it. Cleanliness is a priority to me and this hotel met my standards! In addition, the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is served every day but the time depends on the day of the week. Our H.O.G. chapter just stayed here again (March of 2018), and four years after the first time we were there, it was just as good - plus, along with the popcorn, they now have basic nachos (chips, cheese, and jalapenos). This was truly a great place to stay in Sierra Vista. I would come back without a second thought. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to ensure the guests were happy and felt welcome. The outside of the location looks a little sparse, but when you walk in you really do find a diamond. The house keeping staff is on par with Luxury cruise sailing staff. Everything in the room was not only cleaned but it was made up and arranged. The stuffed animals and dolls in my daughter's beds were arranged and tucked in to bed, fruit in the kitchenette was placed in a bowl and arranged. Towels were stocked and family personal blankets not owned by the hotel were folded! The hotel has a happy hour each evening where each room gets two drinks. The strange thing is you have to go to the front desk, and tell them you want your drink, and then that person goes to the kitchen to get it for you. Little awkward, but it works I guess. Lets talk about the food. There is a light dinner, and breakfast served each day. The breakfast is standard I guess. Coffee, fruit, cereal, and waffles. The hot portion, although the staff tries their best, is really low quality. Frozen breakfast burritos that are warmed up and keep hot in the heating try. Same for dinner. Bagged salad with various dressings, and some type of warmed up sandwich and a crock pot of soup. The food quality is the only thing keeping this place from a perfect score. However, this does not mean the staff didn't try. They kept everything stocked, and brought out fresh items when they saw things getting low. This was just the best they were given to serve. This hotel has great potential but falls a little short. The southwest decor is nice. There is a nice size refrigerator with freezer and a microwave in the room. Pillows are big and lumpy - not good. They offer snacks and supper in the evening, Monday - Thursday. For supper there is a bowl of salad greens plus bacon or ham, cherry tomatoes, hard boiled egg slices and shredded cheese to put on salad plus a variety of Newman's Own salad dressings. One night they had meatball sandwiches, the next they had chili. The snacks consisted of tortilla chips, salsa, jalapeño, and nacho cheese machine. Also had bags of various kinds of chips and peanuts. Breakfast although tasted ok didn't have many options or extras. First morning offered plain egg patties with bacon and salsa on side. Next morning the egg patty had meat in it so they didn't offer bacon or salsa (?). Also had make your own waffles. Best offering was the bowl of fruit - melon, pineapple, grapes. read more

I didn't have the opportunity to take advantage of all the amenities offered, like two complimentary drinks, dinner, the pool/hot tub etc (it was just me with my two young kids) but it was still enjoyable. I was actually very impressed with my stay at Garden Suites. The room is clean. And gigantic- queen sized bed with a mini divider that separates the bed from two couches, an almost full sized refrigerator, a stove and sink, desk, tv, the works. And obviously a bathroom. The ceilings are also very high which makes the room feel even more spacious. The hotel also has a small pool and a gym. The gym doesn't have very much, just some cardio machines and cable machines (no free weights). Your stay also includes free breakfast and dinner (not all days). The breakfast is the standard continental breakfast (home fries, breakfast burrito, fresh fruits, boiled eggs, bagels, and etc). The dinner was also very comprehensive. The first night I had chicken tenders (actually pretty delicious), the next night meatball subs. I was thoroughly impressed with how much effort the staff puts into making the stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Fantastic! We are Holiday Inn people, but I would say this place is nicer. We are from Illinois, just driving through Arizona. They actually have free food in the evening and alcoholic beverages. The staff ( Stephanie) very friendly and helpful, she gave my husband a huge list of restaurants in the area. There are no USB ports in the room , but they loaned me an adaptor. The room is not extremely fancy, but extremely clean, smells nice and the air conditioner was great! If this were a chain, we would look for it everywhere. Last but not least the price was under$100. We stayed here for about 6 weeks for work. The staff was always friendly and super helpful. Kylie and William were the greatest ever. The hot tub is amazing. One time the heat broke in it but it was fixed the next day. The two free drinks per night per room were amazing at the end of the long days we worked. They have a happy hour that is awesome -- a couple free beers or glasses of wine per night -- and they do free breakfast (just like every hotel does now) and free dinner (which no hotels do now) on weeknights. The best part, though, is the staff. Stephanie and Peter at the front desk are the best hotel staffers I've ever encountered, and I've stayed at a lot of hotels. They're both friendly, happy to help, and they're flat-out good people. They'll make your stay so much more enjoyable if you take a few minutes to chat them up. Have stayed here before and rooms and service were good. Just called to make a reservation and was told to call back in 5 minutes as they were busy. Understandable. Called back as asked in 5 but was told they were busy to call back. I said I'm busy and you have lost a customer. The 2 star rating was the average between 1 (current call) and 3 from the previous stay. Someone the need to learn how to multitask when answering the phone or ask for help. read more

This place is awesome. Great price too with short notice. $150 for 3 people 2 beds and 1 pullout bed for 1 night. Plus free breakfast and dinner. Dinner was pretty good, wasnt able to try breakfast because we got up late. They have a heated pool which was clean and a workout room. You also get a free drink each night you stay. (Soda that is) Free popcorn which was pretty good too! Rooms were nice and clean, they even folded the toilet paper. Lol. Direct TV with movie channels and a great lounge area. Customer service was great and Justin the GM looked a bit tired but still gave good customer service. You can BBQ outside on a nice grill and they even have a nice fire pit next to the pool. The price was decent, the location was very close to Fort Huachuca, so it's a perfect place for you if you are here TDY. They even have one free drink for you every day you are there.
