My brother recently had a sewer pipe break in his home and called some place in Neffsville to get it repaired. He told me that they told him that most of the sewer piping in the basement will need to be replaced since it is an old house in the town of Manheim and told him that it will be close to $6000 for the repair. He said that he contacted them because he had heard an ad for them recently. I told him call Haldeman's and they sent a guy out to check out what was needed. He told them that this is a common issue in older homes and that this will be a very routine repair. They ended up doing the job shortly afterwards and the final bill was just under $2500!! What wasnt great was the astronomical price and the fact that he got arrested a few weeks later, and the company has a policy where, "we dont talk to homeowners insurance companies, they dont pay plumbing and we have no obligation to talk to them".. okay, fine, i get that but it literally almost cost me my claim because of that refusal to simply state what it was and what it was not. Like, i totally understand the whole not wading into other peoples issues and not wanting to get involved, but truthfully stating the issue AFTER suggesting i call then in thebfirst place was really annoying. I had a totally incompetent field adjuater and Bobby's office could have cleared it up immediately but instead it fell on mitigation, photos and videos to just show it came from the second floor and was not from the actual sewer line. It would have take 30 seconds. Instead, it delayed the process by 40+ days, during which my insurance company went insolvent.
