We never was given the chance to see or purchase their products Our furnace went down and needed a replacement fairly fast, everyone ( 6) we called jumped to get us a quote that same day and could install within 1 to 5 business days, I called and left a message with Elizabethtown and no one returned my call, I called in and was told the salesperson couldn't make it out for 7 days, I told her we had no heat, but she stuck with the time, so we went elsewhere. I am sure they sell a good product, but I feel if you can't jump to get my business you're not going to jump to service me. read more

I would give them no stars if I could. $500 for two pounds of refrigerant. Tyler bennawit screwed the same screws in and out three times without doing anything to the airconditioner. He also stole my nunchucks in the process. They were on my coffee table in my living room and were not there when he left I tried to get them back and he claimed he didn't take them. He is a liar and a thief. If you use this company keep an eye on the employee if it is tyler bennawit. $500 for 2 pounds of refrigerant. I wouldn't use this company! read more

I called E-town Heating and Cooling out last year because my AC unit wasn't cooling anymore. It was an emergency and they came out pretty quickly and took care of the issue. Fast forward about a year and the same thing seemed to be happening. I called yesterday and while it wasn't an emergency they had someone out to my house before 10am next day. Tyler was the tech that stopped out this time and he was efficient, friendly and chatted with me when I had questions. Turned out this time was not the same issue, the capacitor was bad which I am told happens at times after prolonged heat and humidity. I am glad it wasn't the same issue as before showing the fix they put in place last year is still going strong. Whereas I have no idea if the invoice charge is high or low, the service was excellent and it was money well spent. I definitely recommend E-town Heating and Cooling. read more

I was in the market for a new heating service provider as my experiences with UGI were very unpleasant (see those reviews) and my heating system was overdue for service. Thanks to Yelp I found this provider, with good reviews, and at a cost of $89 (with tax) for a gas boiler clean/service they were the most affordable in the area. I scheduled service for 8am and had my father wait at my house for the technician. I had also called in advance and asked that my Honeywell programmable thermostat be programed and had the times/temps all written out and a note left for him with this information. After a short time later my father calls me to tell me the technician left and that he did not hear a vacuum which he says is customary with that type of service. When prompted he proceeded to tell me the techs total time at my house was in the 15 minute range - most of the time being spent messing with the thermostat. I was disappointed to say the least and called the office. The owner agreed to come the following Monday and look over what was done. A few hours later I returned home to a house that felt like a sauna. The temperature was up to 78 degrees in my normally drafty home and was blazingly hot. According to the time, and how I wanted the thermostat set the temp should have been 65 degrees. Additionally the door to my unheated basement was open, as well as the basement light on. I immediately called the office again and the owner came right away. It took him a few minutes to determine that the thermostat was not set properly and remedied the problem. I also had printed a checklist of what is to be expected with the cleaning of a gas boiler. Together him and I went through each of the items. He doubled checked a few things on the boiler, cleaned and/or corrected, and explained the process. While he explained that the technician was new he made no excuses for his lack of detail and I am confident he will address the situation with him. While my first experience was in the 2 star range, my second with the owner was 4 stars, to average out my two experiences I give them a high three stars. I felt I could trust the owners' experience and was friendly and explained the operation in terms someone not familiar with the industry could understand. I was disappointed that I had to call him back out but overall satisfied that he made it right. I would and will use their service again. read more

So much better experience here than another HVAC service place. The "other place" said that they ALWAYS did upfront pricing, they didn't - but the "other place" sure sent a high bill in the mail for them coming out and doing nothing but shutting my furnace down. EH&C (Elizabethtown Heating And Cooling) however was a great experience all around. I emailed them some photos/info over the weekend. Ashley Snyder (the office mgr) replied next business day, very prompt & informative. She sent out Andy (the owner) and he took care of a complete cleaning & restart of my furnace for $99. Unheard of, I can't even send my installers out from my small business for that little. Great experience, Absolutely using them again soon for anything HVAC at my house. These guys are LOCAL and ROCKING customer service. read more

Much more interested in selling you a new HVAC system than fixing your problem. I had a minor leak that required a minimal patch job. This crew immediately suggested I completely replace my nine-year-old system. I would never call this company again, and I'd caution anyone from believing their "expertise." read more

Unfortunately, as a past loyal customer, this will be the last time I use Etown for our heating and cooling needs. After scheduling a preventative maintenance call, Tyler, our technician arrived. He was unprofessional, lacked communication skills, and diagnosed a "problem" without being able to communicate cost, service needed, etc. We were told he would have to come back and that he would call with details. He said it could cost roughly $400-$500. He was at our house for approximately 20 minutes at which point he replaced a filter. After several days, we still had not heard. We called his cell phone (voicemail full) and the company. We were told he was scheduled to come out for a service call on Saturday. We cancelled indicating that we were still unclear what the issue was. In the meantime, we call Haller, another local company. What a different experience. Customer Service to the maximum. He was able to identify a simple efficiency issue, had the part on site, fixed it, and actually serviced our unit. The cost of all of that was HALF of what Tyler "quoted." We then received a bill from Etown charging us for a full maintenance call (never done) and a restocking fee for a part. I called to rectify the bill and was told "you have to pay something." This is the kind of "professionalism" and "service" you will get from Etown. I'm so disappointed and hope this review encourages you to support one of the other local and more reputable HVAC companies in the area. read more

I had a central air problem that Jacobs Service Company out of Enhaut came out to fix 3 times and didn't so finally I called Elizabethtown Heating and Cooling he was nice to speak with over the phone and came out within an hour. He had it fixed correctly in no time and was very informative and explained what was wrong and what he had to do to fix it. I will call him again and recommend him to anyone that needs HVAC. read more
