The Skin Centre has its own doors (so no communal doors and trying to find suite #4). Lots of parking. The waiting room surprisingly small, but has about 7 chairs. It's clean, open, and gets lots of sunshine. The receptionist is friendly and takes care of things quickly. The patient rooms have really cool chairs. These chairs are electronically adjustable and can go all the way flat, up to almost chest height or down to the ground. Had lots of fun playing elevator w/ my baby on these chairs while we were waiting (shhhhh). We saw Dr. Abdulla (who was recommended by our pediatrician). She was very friendly, very practical, and great at explaining things. The wait time wasn't too bad (maybe 10-15 mins) and she seemed very sure of herself and of her diagnosis. I was happy at how flexible the office was to squeeze us in on a Saturday when we called on Monday. Also - they were able to squeeze me in there too, saving me a second trip the next weekend. Overall, I think this is a nice and friendly place to go for all your dermatologist needs. And instead of writing a prescription, the Dr. prefers to get the address/number/general location of your pharmacy so she can call in the prescription directly. Oh yeah - I forgot to mention the bathroom was very large/spacious w/ pretty tile and bath & body works soap.

Also, I have tried calling the Rutherford office multiple times and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get someone on the phone. The phone operator will say that its connecting me to someone that can help. I am put on hold for 15 minutes and then the line disconnects. Absolutely absurd. They would have a higher rating if not for this.

I decided to go to DR. Bradford Singman, a Dermatologist and see what he recommended. Right off the bat he prescribed Permethrin Cream 5 percent, followed his instructions and immediately the itching has almost completely disappeared. Dr. Baxt is fast paced no nonsense and can come off a bit brash when talking about other providers you've went to. I wouldn't say she's personable as some have said. She speaks to you as if you're a child so bedside could be improved. She says hello and then gets right into what you came in for and then a good bye with her back to you as she's leaving. She did provide what I desired for the most part (albeit the bruise she left me) and does suggest other treatments for other concerns you have without being pushy. It's difficult to find a thorough provider near me so I thought I try her and satisfied so far but I'm still looking bc I am a little surprised she's not up on the most current treatments. After paying 275$ for a consultation was told if I wanted to biopsy a skin tag I would be charged for additional time even though I was only seen for a few minutes. Dr Baxt then proceeded to insult other physicians I had seen and basically bash their recommendations by stating they were lying about treatments they suggested for a skin condition. Then she diagnosed my skin with rosacea which was completely inaccurate and almost funny because I had some blush on my checks. Her attitude was unprofessional and a bit arrogant. I will not be returning or recommending this practice.
