Whoever was operating service van on Rt. 280, at exit 8B is a horrendous driver almost causing an accident as I was in the lane he/she cut over two lanes to cross solid white line and painted median to make the exit. If this is how they drive, I would say that their claim to prompt service is because they disobey traffic laws and courteous driving to make it on time to the next stop, well I can only imagine that if they rush driving, they may rush installation and not be the quality institution they advertise. 11:25 am. 12/11/25 read more

Recently, Carmine of Garden State Water Heaters was my guardian angel. My old Bradford white water conventional gas heater broke down right before Thanksgiving. I consulted home depot emergency services and their contracted company wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to replace it. The fee they wanted for one of the new hybrid heat pump water heaters was even more astronomical. In any case they needed to consult with their electrical associates to figure out how much a new 240v outlet would be in addition. I was very pleasantly surprised to get a response from gswh. Carmine responded right away and even came by on black Friday to fix a coincidental faucet leak in my house. He is one honest dude and told me the leak was just due to a loose pipe fitting. He screwed it tighter and removed a piece of drywall on thr first floor ceiling underneath to survey the damage and check for mold. Nothing unnecessary, no up charges. If he was less honest I would have been a sitting duck. He was super helpful explaining everything and helping me thru this house crisis. The following Tuesday after my electrician installed the 240v outlet, Carmine's men came by and finished installing my new rheem hybrid heat pump water heater. They were very professional and efficient. The price was great... And my situation turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Their workers are top notch. Very professional and knowledgeable in what they do unfortunately I cannot say the same for management and management team. Once the work was professionally finished and it was time to pay it took more than a half hour to reach anyone to pay with a credit card. They do not have credit card readers with the staff which makes this very hard for the technicians to go to the next task. Also I was not informed properly that I would be receiving additional paperwork to have the water heater inspected and submitted by the to the city. No additional follow-up was given very unprofessional. The management team cannot keep appointments properly. Since the water heater was fixed with no issues to report I planned with them a another job a week ago regarding a leak for my tub. When the day came to arrive no one showed up I called numerous times I texted management no response. The paperwork for the last job was my only means of contact regarding the water heater I decided to use that number. I finally reached someone. They informed me there was an emergency flooding and they could not come to my house to perform the work. I do understand emergency but what I don't understand is why did they not call me in the morning to reschedule this is unacceptable and very unprofessional I've wasted an entire day and scheduling with them due to their unprofessionalism regarding a call back. The best highly responsive and they stand 100% behind their work. If you need them to return they're there quickly they installed my water heater in a few hours and left my home clean and neat. I had contacted several other vendors, and by far they were the most responsive and best priced, the work was 100% professional .Even though I have a small condo and the water heater is in a closet in my hallway, They were able to effectively do the installation at a very competitive price, I also had them do other plumbing work in my house and their price was competitive highly recommended. read more

I used G.S. water heaters to replace a hot water heater in one of my condos. They gave me a GREAT price, so i booked them, when they came Carmine called me and told me the unit needed some additional code (in order to meet code) and felt bad that he needed to increase the price, what he didn't know is that I just had to do the same replacements on another one of my units to make code and knew he was telling the truth and giving a great price (again). Him and his partner were quick, friendly, knowledgeable and professional!! At the end of the job, I handed him cash and accidentally gave him too much (which I never do), I called him later on that night and he handled it with complete integrity, which meant the most to me. My water heater went on me a few weeks ago and I started calling a few places for quotes to install a new one. Then I remembered a friend who had the same experience about a month prior and raved about this company she used, how professional they were and how much money she ended up saving. So I gave Carmen a call and I immediately knew I was in good hands! He was personable, took the time to understand my issue, and gave me a price that was $300 LESS than the lowest quote I was initially given by another company. DO NOT WORK with these rude, unprofessional, liars and cheaters. In my 75 years, I HAVE NEVER experienced such bad treatment with ANY servicemen. The guy from G.S. Water Heaters who installed the unit in June 2020 and this year "tried" to resolve the issue was: (1) VERY RUDE; when speaking with me never used common words people use in corresponding with each other. In his text messages (I have copies) he never said: good-morning or good-day; hi or hello; goodbye or bye-bye; thanks or thank you: never put his name on any text messages, never gave his business card, so I don't even know his name.... (2) EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL; Installed the unit was bad quality; leaking, flooding the basement and leaving my family without hot water. To make the situation worse my wife had a stroke 1.13.2021 and needed a shower badly. I called the guy and informed him that the unit must be replaced (still was under warranty). He came, inspected the unit, and agreed that it was bad; but didn't bring with him a new one what made me very upset because the agony with not having hot water would have continued. I was pissed off with the guy's "activity" and told him to come and p/u unit and that I would order a new one somewhere else. He stormed away to his car without a word. I noticed that he was murmuring something in his chin (it sounded like coursing). I guess he realized what kind of jerk he was, so after 10 minutes he called me on phone ... (3) At that moment by PROMISING that he would come the following day with a refund check and to P/U the bad unit he uttered his 1st lie. Later he re-confirmed it by text message He DIDN'T COME the following day, didn't even call to apologize or explain. Afterward, there were more than a dozen text messages back and forth. The unit was sitting in my front yard for almost a whole month. He just didn't show up. I REALIZED THAT LYING IS HIS HABIT. There was an only 1-time legitimate excuse. Last 10 days there are no more even answers to my messages. Even after leaving him a warning message 3/11 telling him that I expected the unpaid balance to get paid by the end of last week, or I would have to report him to BBB and similar agencies telling them about my experience with him - he didn't bother even to respond.... (4) IS THIS CHEATING? After getting all the money for his service and unit, and after accepting a legitimate complaint he paid me back (with more than 3 weeks delay) - BUT LESS THAN HE COLLECTED.
