Though prices are higher than at HEB or a big box, I continue there for the advice & availability of things like compost and rooting stimulant, and find the crew under Mark's daughter to continue the good advice; and the somewhat higher price but greater variety and knowledge plus my pricing for customers of 1/2 the retail price of their plants bought there make it work out very well for me; and I've just bought my second Sweet Bay for MY OWN yard, recently, when the first, which made great chicken soup, froze during one of the frequent "SnowVid '21," SnowPocalypse '23," deep-freeze events... And bought sage plants for an office building I maintain in West Lake Hills, also...

Our landscaper, Pedro's Landscaping bought 47 Italian Cypress trees in September to install in our…read morebackyard and now 4 months later we have 47 dead trees. I don't know what our landscaper paid, but we paid almost $9K for these trees. Checked with both my landscaper, Pedro Abundis and Danny at Circle D on what can be done to replace the dead trees and neither company will help or take responsibility for the loss. We are just out 47 trees. Both companies do not guarantee or warranty the trees. We spent a lot of money on our landscaping with Pedro's Landscaping and the lack of customer service is just bad business. I will not recommend either company to any more of my customers, friends, neighbors or family. I am really disappointed.

I spoke with Lauren and I decided on a Natchez Crepe Myrtle. We set up a time to install it and she even sent me a picture of a 45 gallon It was gorgeous. Their crew arrived right on time and were amazing. It was not an easy planting due to the mess left by the storm uprooting the destroyed tree. The crew were respectful of our property and installed the new tree properly.... deep and with native Texas soil. I have only positives about Lawns Tree Farm.

This is a huge store like other Home Depots I've been inside, with everything you could imagine from tools and lumber to their outdoor garden center. They can mix paint to order for you, rent equipment, and even sell you appliances from their large selection. I don't shop this category enough to know how their prices compare or if there's any difference between this and Lowe's, but I am confident they have everything I could ever ask for in a hardware store.

Commenting on review from JR who states living in California. I have questions. What are facts…read morebehind the loss of their bees? Has JR taken any classes, joined bee club or buy any books? Jrs review is missing quite a few details. I purchased a package AND a nuc last spring from these folks as well as 3 queens over summer. I am picking up 2 queens next week and THREE nucs next month. I am entering my 2d year of beekeeping and last year split the nuc and the package. I am splitting the original nuc AGAIN this year as well as the split from the original nuc this year. My package split wasn't so successful because one colony absconded. That happens. I may have to split the original package this year....will wait and see. As for your comments about "old" frames. Yes...the frames may be old...not sure. HOWEVER...I have had nothing but GREAT luck with their bees. The nuc I purchased last year clearly was successful. I have four hives currently (two double deeps and 2 single deeps. Splitting the doubles next week and installing the queens I am picking up). I probably will not be buying nucs next year. Perhaps some queens because I expect to have at least NINE hives by fall this year if not more because of needed splits.

When it comes to everything to do with bees, the people inside this store will have the answers as well as all of the hardware you might need, including the little flying stinging cusses themselves! Yes, they sell bees here! They also offer beginning beekeeper classes for $99. The guys inside said that the first thing they do in the class is take you out to the beehive field nearby and let you test your bee grit. You know, to see if you can go out and discover for yourself if you're cut out for this hobby. Because really, do you have what it takes to be a beekeeper and be swarmed and stung by bees all of the time? Or are you terrified of them and want to run away screaming in terror? But you never know, you just might be a bee whisperer, like that chick in Fried Green Tomatoes, who could just walk up to a hive and stick her hand in and grab the honey without ever getting stung. Or on the flipside, it might turn out like it did for Macaulay Culkin's character in My Girl where he is killed by a hoard of angry bees! Regardless, this is the place to come to on your journey to finding it all out one way or another. For only $99, you will know for certain if beekeeping is right for you, and if it is, well then, you can drop another $1100 to acquire everything you need to start!
