It can be overwhelming as they offer vegetables, annual flowers, perennials, tropicals, and trees. There is plenty of signage, so it is easy to navigate this nursery. There are Barryhill experts available to assist, and we received very helpful advice regarding different rose plants. I do wish they would incorporate mobile POS devices instead of having you navigate across their parking lot to check out. I don't know what our landscaper paid, but we paid almost $9K for these trees. Checked with both my landscaper, Pedro Abundis and Danny at Circle D on what can be done to replace the dead trees and neither company will help or take responsibility for the loss. We are just out 47 trees. Both companies do not guarantee or warranty the trees. We spent a lot of money on our landscaping with Pedro's Landscaping and the lack of customer service is just bad business. I will not recommend either company to any more of my customers, friends, neighbors or family. I am really disappointed.

I am working to naturalize the yard and install more native plants that can withstand the hot summers of central Texas without requiring a lot of water. Terry, the owner, is super helpful and accommodating. He has a wealth of knowledge about which plants and trees will do well here in the Texas heat. The prices are very reasonable and considerably less than the nurseries in Austin proper. Terry had his guys deliver and install the trees and plants. They were on schedule, fast, and neat and cleaned up all of the mess before leaving. The trees have a guarantee too so I know that they will be okay or will be replaced if they don't catch on. Great service, highly recommended.

This is a hidden gem and it took me a few years to discover them. Prices are cheaper than the big box nurseries and the quality of their plants is much better. All of their employees are very knowledgeable and equally helpful. I do like that they have a great selection of potting soil and fertilizer and they provide guidance regarding which to use based on your purchase. I've purchased a number of roses, a dwarf magnolia tree, and a number of potted plants and all are thriving. The dwarf magnolia is at least 12 - 15 feet high now. These folks are a great alternative to the big box store at the corner of 183 and Chrystal Falls.

The gentleman we initially met at their yard gave a tour of all the trees in his golf cart, asked us several questions about what we were replacing, and what we thought we would like to replace it with. He stopped frequently to identify the different trees, provide all the pros and cons of each variety, whether they were particularly suitable for where we live, etc. We didn't feel rushed, he was exceptionally pleasant, and was happy to answer all our questions. When we decided what type of tree we wanted, we were handed a flag, picked out the exact tree we liked best, and they delivered it in a matter of days. Their crew was friendly and efficient, and for a reasonable fee, cut down and removed the dead tree. They were finished in no time, and left the yard looking better than when they arrived. They only asked for payment when the old tree was gone, the new tree was planted, staked, watered, and we were 100% satisfied with their work. I really didn't think this level of customer service existed anymore. Go see them. You won't regret it.

This is the place to go if you're anywhere from Betram to Florence to Leander; they have a ton of hardware, supplies, mulch, soil & fertilizer, as well as limited barbecue grills, a few (large!) water fountains and outside statuary& chairs and some fun stuff too. What a big place. The staff is first rate; you will not get past the first one with out a "howdy" and there's no pressure. Plan a little time to look at everything because you're going to need it. Now why not five stars? Well, my only gripe - and it's no big deal - is that it's hard to figure out what things cost. Some things - well less than half by the way - have prices you can see. The rest, especially one-off outdoor items from coolers to cookers to statuary - have "item" numbers. I guess that lets staff look prices up but how many trips do I make inside to ask 'how much is item ....?' Maybe there's a price list or something I missed but this is the only negative I've found so far. So; just go.
